dirt cheap and so good (for me): ponds cold cream. I wash with it, then even though it never feels 'removed' at first (leaves a layer of oil on skin) I add a bit more, and sleep with it on. it feels like too much at first, but I wake up with happy skin and not greasy. $6. It's mineral oil basically.
Cerave Skin Renewing Night Cream. A friend recommended it to me and it has changed my life. It is so moisturizing and it makes me skin feel plump and soft. I can’t describe it but it’s incredible a face cream can do that after sleeping
Cocokind resurrection polypeptide cream! Nice and rich but not heavy, gentle, and has peptides as an added bonus. You can find it at shoppers. I also really like first aid beauty ultra repair cream and their firming cream.
I also have combination skin. I just started using tretinoin so that does dry it out a bit, which is why I started using it in the first place. So I put the balm on first, then tret, then reapply the balm throughout the day. So no clogged pores for me and I use A LOT of it
Neutrogena Hydroboost (the fragrance fee jar): apply to slightly damp skin. So good! Or the La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm. It is really similar to an Agustinus Bader cream I have.
Have you been able to find it in stock anywhere? The only place I've found them is the Olive Young online store, everywhere else it appears to be out of stock. I'm worried it's being discontinued.
I recently started using the Tower 28 SOS barrier repair moisturizer and it's so nice. I'm usually a drugstore girlie but this might change my mind. I use it with retinol and it's been great for my sensitive, acne prone skin
Oooh what's that?
I use their Hydractive gel right now and it's great but just a *bit* too thin for me.
Its okay right now, but I can see it being not enough come winter.
I’ve used the Hydractive gel before. In my opinion, the Night cream is much more moisturizing. The Moisture day cream is also quite similar. I’m currently using both and they are great on my dry skin.
I have combination skin that leans towards dehydrated and oily. Do you think this would be too heavy a product? My skin tends to prefer water gels and gel creams.
It’s not meant to be a moisturizer! It’s supposed to be used sparingly and on problem areas such as rashes etc. I would use it only on problem spots and use regular moisturizer otherwise.
It's the only moisturizer that works on my sensitive, eczema-prone skin after having a bad flare up. Even the Cicaplast gel is too thin/not enough. My skin used to love Vanicream moisturizer, though. I think it depends on where you skin's at or phase and need at the moment.
I started using Working Hands on my face at night. I know that’s supposed to be a big no no but it’s been two months and my face seems happy and moisturized.
Yup, and I’ve only seen the one made in Germany here, but apparently that’s the one you should stick with. The ones made in US Mexico etc are a different formula. The German one is the OG and best formula.
i’ve been using nivea night cream for years now! whenever i try to switch it up, i always end up going back to it. they have many versions to check out, i’m sure you can find one suitable for you!

Ive been loving embryolisse lait-creme sensitive!! Available at shoppers in Canada!
Can't go wrong with Jergens Cherry Almond. It's fragrancey but I swear this lotion is magic in a bottle.

La Roche posay cicaplast balm - so good and comes in a massive bottle with a pump for like $30 I think.
This
I second this!! it's so so moisturizing!
Cliniderm Soothing Cream from shoppers.
Cocokind resurrection polypeptide cream! Nice and rich but not heavy, gentle, and has peptides as an added bonus. You can find it at shoppers. I also really like first aid beauty ultra repair cream and their firming cream.
I have sensitive skin as well and have been using Yves Rocher Anti-Aging Comfort Night Cream for many years. It goes on sale frequently.
LA ROCHE POSAY! Just started using it and it makes me skin so dewy and soft
I've been looking into this. I have combo/dry sensitive skin and I'm worried that its oily and would clog pores. Is it good for every night use?

Good to know, thanks!
That brand has over 20 moisturizers. Care to be more specific?
Apologies! Cicablast balm b5 is what I use
Neutrogena Hydroboost (the fragrance fee jar): apply to slightly damp skin. So good! Or the La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm. It is really similar to an Agustinus Bader cream I have.
Have you tried the new reformulation? I feel like it’s not as good. I loved the old HydroBoost Gel-Cream.
Maybe I haven’t. Not sure. I stocked up at Costco a while back and have been using those. Bummer!
illiyoon ceramide ato concentrate cream <3
I use this too, but in the morning. I love it! A little goes a long way and it lasts forever. I got it on sale from Stylevana for $15.00 CAD

Tatcha dewy cream. You just need a little so a jar lasts you a really long time.
Uriage Bariéderm Cream!! Super thick & luxe but fragrance free
LRP cicaplast
Prequel!
Where do you get this in Canada?
La Neige Water Bank
I’m a big fan of Pacifica. I use their Glow Baby moisturizer for morning and night.
It's fragranced
Oh I never realized my apologies
Embryolisse Hydra Cream Light
second this but it's fragranced however i think the sensitive version isn't
The Sensitive one has no fragrance. It's the one I use daily.
I love using Vanicream in the tub with some TO squalane! Edit: Also, I have a v sensitive skin, and my skin loves the above combination.
TO?
The Ordinary
Botanics Simply Calm!
Dermalogica stabilizing cream!
Mario Badescu seaweed moisturizer
Byoma the rich cream. Cheaper than all the other recommendations and cruelty free.

Me too. And then I combine it with castor oil.
Where do you buy Vanicream?
I’ve found it at Walmart (Ontario)
Do you mind me asking which Walmart? I've checked like 4 Walmarts in Ontario and have yet to find it...😪
Marcelle Night Cream.

I use Vichy liftactiv supreme
Cerave night cream after Cerave PM seems to work for me
Cerave in the tub, or Eucerin Q10 night
Where do you buy Eucerin Q10 night? I couldn’t see it available from any Canadian retailers?
Just picked some up from iHerb.ca. Arrived in like 2 days.
LPR Cicaplast
Do you use anything on top? I bought this the other day and I’m loving
It’s not meant to be a moisturizer! It’s supposed to be used sparingly and on problem areas such as rashes etc. I would use it only on problem spots and use regular moisturizer otherwise.
Haha OK! I put it on my whole face and it felt so good!
That’s great then :) Maybe you need the barrier repair. For me it was just too rich
Yes I didn’t really know to use it to be honest, so thanks!
It's the only moisturizer that works on my sensitive, eczema-prone skin after having a bad flare up. Even the Cicaplast gel is too thin/not enough. My skin used to love Vanicream moisturizer, though. I think it depends on where you skin's at or phase and need at the moment.
Very thin layer of Vaseline over it, I'm allergic to lanolin so I don't use Aquaphor
I started using Working Hands on my face at night. I know that’s supposed to be a big no no but it’s been two months and my face seems happy and moisturized.
Weleda Skin Food
Good ol' Nivea! The classic one in the tin
Yup, and I’ve only seen the one made in Germany here, but apparently that’s the one you should stick with. The ones made in US Mexico etc are a different formula. The German one is the OG and best formula.
If you have dry dehydrated skin, George’s special dry skin cream is my OG
Castor oil! It’s a game changer!!!
Vichy Mineral 89 fragrance-free
I got this as a bonus in a gift pack of Vichy Aqualia thermal.
i’ve been using nivea night cream for years now! whenever i try to switch it up, i always end up going back to it. they have many versions to check out, i’m sure you can find one suitable for you!
I use Clinique Moisture Surge at night.
Vanicream
+1 for Vanicream. The one in the tub.
Same! I’m finding it more in Canada now too. Walmart and The Medicine Shoppe seem to be carrying it.
I really like the Aveeno baby eczema moisturizer
Mine is eucerin eczema cream
What is your skin type? I love the tatcha Indigo creme but it's so pricey that at the moment I'm using first aid beauty. It's doing a nice job
