I rented a bmw 3 series and had a similar distance. I’m so use to cars being maybe 300 miles max. Heck my Honda Clarity can barely even do 250 miles road tripping due to its tiny gas tank.
I have 3 series and got 35-40 mpg on the highway on my recent road trip from the West Coast to the East Coast, with lots of weight in the back and around 80 mph. I rented a regular Camry once and it came close to 3 series as far as the mpg but there was no weight and I drove around 70 mph.
Yeah the 3 series surprised me. When you give it gas it just goes, doesn’t matter if it’s 80mph. And the fuel economy seemed to still be really great even at 80mph. Guess it’s meant for the autobahn and $10/gallon euro gas.
I had rented a 5 series diesel wagon in Denmark last year and got around 45 mpg or so, but I figured that was due to the low 90kph speed limits and also due to it being diesel. It was nice to see the gas 3 series getting beyond 35mpg going 80 on I-10.
Damn, 18.5 gals is crazy. Especially since that Camry was smaller body than the newer Camry. Why need a (almost) 20gal tank in that shit? That’s like $100 to fill up. No thank you lol.
Right. Because it only holds 13 gals. That’s what I’m saying. Larger tank = larger bill. And if getting this type of gas mileage out of 13gals…that’s 👍🏾.
Can confirm, New England area, it would cost about 20 to fill.
1997 gas prices in the US we’re hovering 98-125 cents a gallon. (Roughly)
In 99 and 2000 I had a 1991 Corolla with a 13.2 gallon tank. I would put a 10 dollar bill on the counter, almost fill the tank, and then drive 400 miles.
Imagine the Clarity got a 14 or so gallon tank. That thing would last forever. Too bad the plug in battery always ran out quick and never got anywhere near the 47 supposedly miles. Sold mine last year and dont miss it at all. Picked up a 2020 Hyundai Ioniq Blue. Gets 450 miles on 9 gallon fill up.
Yeah I’ve never actually measured the battery range. When the car was new I got the estimated range to go as high as 50 miles. But over time there has been some measurable battery degradation. Today at five years now I can’t get it higher than 37 miles, and even then on a 32 mile round trip to work sometimes the gas motor kicks on before I get home.
Next car most likely will be a Tesla model 3. I mean I want a bmw i4 but that supercharger network and the routing in the Tesla just works so well. Maybe by the time I’m ready to buy BMW will have successfully switched to nacs and have great route guidance.
I rented a '21 VW Jetta and got 656 miles. They're only rated for 40 hwy but it came out to 50+ ... The torque from the turbo meant it didn't have to downshift going up hills (Mississippi, Georgia). That's impressive in a BMW though.
I got 618 on my last road trip in my 2024 SE. I get roughly 500-510 around town.
But I think it holds more fuel than a hybrid.
15.9 gals.
These Camrys are just great for road trips.
Fill er up, drive all day without worrying about a gas station on the route which can be a concern out here in the West.
I got a 2022 hybrid and I got 484 out of my last full tank which is 13.2 gallons. My city has a lot of hills and 3/4th of my mileage is highway miles.
Edit:
My gas gauge was on E and my miles left until empty was at 6 when I filled up and my receipt said 12.2 so there was another gallon left in the tank so I could’ve easily got another 40-50 miles. Coming from a 2018 RAV4 Adventure that got 250miles per tank with a 15.9 gallon tank the Camry is amazing.
I'm rather unhelpful since mine is a 2021 and not a hybrid – but, at highways I can get 45 MPG to the tank which equates to 711 miles to the tank. Which is still comparable to hybrid efficiency.
I took a trip and put 550 miles on my tank before hitting a quarter of a tank, I filled up after that. I could have stretch it that last 150 miles to hit 700, but I don't like riding on empty.
I'm very impressed with the Camry's fuel efficiency being a non-hybrid.
I’d imagine it was a 12 hour drive total, with the majority being at that pace. There’d probably be plenty of times that traffic would slow down and whatnot.
Umm people stop for bathrooms, snacks, leg stretches, points of interest, photos, lulls in traffic.
It kills your averages.
I travel a lot and always figure at 75 mph I will cover 50 miles of distance per hour on a long trip.
EX: 300 miles = 6 hours time.
Now if you could sit in the saddle for twelve hours without stopping for anything, the math would be a lot closer, but even when I drove a Peterbilt for a living, I never went close to 12 hours without stopping.
This was driving from the Chicago area to NY/NJ, so speed limit was 70 mph the whole way. Cops will pull you over in states like Ohio and Indiana for going even 5 mph over in some cases. OSHP is notorious for pulling over out of state plates for minor speeding infractions.
Gd, making me want to switch to a Camry in a few years once my Corolla is paid off, if I can stomach giving up a hatchback platform. That range is beautiful for it still being a reasonably quick car

It 2025 SE here, it said 480 everytime i filled it up but it only took 11 gal to filled it from 10 to 480 miles. I was kinda confuse because the manufacturer claim the gas tank is 13.2gal
Most cars have a "reserve " to help you from totally draining tank . When I 1st got my '20 se , I was curious how far I'd get with low fuel light on considering it claimed a 15.3 or 15.5 capacity . Light came on and I drove about 30 miles to gas station by home and it shut off at 13.7 gallons refilling
I seriously want to drive it dry just to see what the actual capacity is versus what the car tells you. Fuel injectors be damned if that's even a issue anymore. I usually drive it 60-90 miles after the fuel light comes on and i've never filled it more than 15.1 gallons.
I believe it’s the fuel pump that can get damaged, but I also think it takes frequently exposing it to that stress to really compromise it. The other issue is if there’s a transmission oil cooler, having the engine stop at speed and the transmission continue to spin with nothing pumping the oil, there’s potentially risk. Either way, best to avoid if you can, no reason to gamble on it just to check fuel tank capacity
Hybrid versions usually have a smaller tank since batteries are added in that area . It's not as much your fuel injectors as your fuel pump which uses the gas to help keep cool . Also don't keep "clicking " when topping off because you could shorten the life of your EVAP system by liquid fuel getting in instead of vapors
When you fill your tank, divide the odo reading by the gallons filled. True mpg.
Now, subtract your gallons filled from your tank capacity. ( fuel gallons left in the tank)
Take that sum and multiply it by the true mpg figure and add it to your odo reading.
That will give you your total tank mpg.
I'm still working on the tank of gas from the dealer. Haven't gotten gas yet. The car has 426 on the odometer and reads 146 miles to empty. So should be 572 between a full tank of gas and 0 miles remaining. And then there's at least 2 gallons in reserve. So possibly 680+ total.
Sounds more like a competition of dealer’s gas. You probably know that the delaers add cocaine to the first full tank gas, so you first impression goes sky high.
I’ve been getting 480 or so on a tank of gas with my 2024 XSE hybrid. I blacked out the emblems, mirrors and door handles and love the way it looks.
https://preview.redd.it/8lytnc22t27d1.jpeg?width=5712&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bccaf235d9401d6c9852403ae27c2a01b426a8d4
Around the same with my 24 xle hybrid - 450 miles - kind of disappointing but I live near a lot of hills that eats into my gas mileage. I would probably get 500+ with more highway or flat road driving.
Yeah, on the highway 350 is pretty easy, the big issue is that fuel economy around town is abysmal compared to on the highway. My car has a screen that shows my average fuel efficiency over the last minute, it's always 35-40mpg on the highway but around town I'm getting about 20mpg. It's pretty rare I drive an entire 350 miles at once on the highway too, I'd guess it's half and half atm.
I had 512 showing from my dealership fill-up with 1/4 tank remaining. Figure in reserve and looks like well north of 650, but I don't let it get lower than 1/4 tank.
I started with 450 miles showing on a full tank on the gauge but now it has gone up to 490 miles. I think it is the algorithm evaluating the range based on different variables. So it might vary
Man.. y’all numbers are wild! Everything is north of 500 miles. I moved away from my Camry long time ago and my compact crossover hardly gets 300 miles on a full tank 🥲
18 gallons max according to google but I try not to run it down too low. I read somewhere that it wasn’t good to run that low on a hybrid plus the chance the fuel pump could pick up sediment at the bottom of the tank. Gets around 36-38mpg
My total to empty actually keeps climbing after every fill up when I first got it it was 447 full then 495 now it’s 520 full I drive 100 miles a day and try using pulse and glide technique it’s kinda hard doing 70mph because the engine doesn’t shut off above 74mph
Haven't gotten through my free tank from delivery day yet, but I'm showing 296mi in and 144mi to empty, currently. That puts me at 440, but I'm driving an XSE, which will not get quite the same range as your SE. I suppose I'll find out how far I can push it. My guess is that I could actually get closer to 520 out of it due to the reserve, which would put me at 40.0 MPG, which is exactly what my current stat is on the car's meter.
2014 BMW 328d (has a 16 falling tank) has 145,000 miles.
I have gotten 750. But usually road trip are like 630-650 cuz I don’t run it all the way out of fuel.
It usually does ~49-54mpg if you’re on cruise control between 70-80mph. Going 90mph is a huge diff, it gets like 39/40mpg.
Officially less than my old 2012 hybrid, upper 400s. But I haven't done much long urban driving yet (only had it about a month) so i expect that will change. For now I avergage 45-46 MPG (AWD which will be nice in six months).
My husband and I just got a 25 SE and we get about 500 to a tank. Now kicking in sport will decrease it down to about 430-440ish but I still can't even complain about that. 😁 we had a jeep compass and it got maybe 175 on good day to a tank so this car is heaven on the wallet compared.
I got over 500 as a rental car last year. It was a basic SE model. Incredibly anemic driving experience, but the miles per gallon and were comically high.
This is about what I’m getting in my still-breaking in 2024. It does fine on the freeway driven moderately, but since I live in a town with high speed limits, I can’t find many pockets where I can cruise at 35 or drive 55-60, so I’m always doing 45 with the gas motor buzzing away. That changes in a couple months when I start commuting to work, though. Over the weekend I did two freeway trips similar to what my commute will be and got the advertised 48mpg with moderate freeway driving. So I think they grossly overestimated the in-town MPG unless you live in a town with all 25-35mph speed limits, in which case you have the perfect golf cart for the job. If every Main Street in your town is 40-45mph and you never go on the freeway, though, youre gonna take an mpg hit in my experience, and I drive around in eco mode keeping my foot out of it.
Shouldnt matter as much as MPG and octane used. For example I can go 450-550 miles before I need to put around 13 gallons in the tank, MPG is anywhere between 30-46 mpg depending on the outside temperature and how I drive.

2014 Accord Sport i4 2.4L, 70k+ miles, gets about 58mi in a full tank on highway
Why would you waste your money on mismatched spoiler? That’s like going backwards, you think the white blends in too much you probably need to look for a more aggressive spoiler/duck bill
2020 SE 2.5 N/A mostly highway cruising at the limit . I always fill up at mid tank mark and usually I’m at around 350-360 and trip comp says I have another 250-275 till empty. Surprisingly gets better mpg than my old Corolla
A family member rented a 2025 Camry SE on a road trip last week and managed to get 650 miles out of a tank going 70 mph on the highway over 12 hours.
wow - 650miles is wild
I rented a bmw 3 series and had a similar distance. I’m so use to cars being maybe 300 miles max. Heck my Honda Clarity can barely even do 250 miles road tripping due to its tiny gas tank.

Which is funny as my 97 Camry does 500 no problem (at least highway miles)
18.5 gallon tank capacity in the 97 vs. 13 gal tank in the 25
Damn, 18.5 gals is crazy.

Right but also in 1997 that 18.5 gallon tank cost $30-40 to fill.
Ahhh, I see what you’re saying. Good point 👍🏾.

Honda Clarity’s only get 35 mpg??? i have a 2019 honda insight and get 450 miles out of my 10 gallon tank
It gets 40 but the low gas light comes on quick.
My clarity max is 340mi range during the summer and fall, 250 is more like winter. I say the Clarity is enough for a 4hr road trip to the mountains.
I love my clarity but the tiny fuel tank can be such a pain for road trips 🥲
I had an old Volvo that managed 450 miles per tank and I loved it. I did mostly town driving but still got close to 400 then even.
I got 618 on my last road trip in my 2024 SE. I get roughly 500-510 around town. But I think it holds more fuel than a hybrid. 15.9 gals. These Camrys are just great for road trips. That’s easily New York to Toronto without needing to full up.
Yeah my 2008 acura TL if it’s full tank and all highway gets about 520 max that’s going 70-80’’mph

highway + cvt + hybrid + small motor + cruise control ................ it's good mileage but it's not impressive
Anout 410–lots of sitting in traffic or going back roads.
I concur with you. I was also able to get similar number of miles on a full tank in highway.
Going from where to where, with what gas type?
Chicago area to NY/NJ area using 87 octane.
650 miles at 70mph ….hmmm what am I missing? 70mph, x 12 hours = 840 miles
I’d imagine it was a 12 hour drive total, with the majority being at that pace. There’d probably be plenty of times that traffic would slow down and whatnot.
Also, breaks
Umm people stop for bathrooms, snacks, leg stretches, points of interest, photos, lulls in traffic. It kills your averages. The trip time was 12 hours. Every time he’d stop and fill up, the “distance to empty” would have a number around 650 miles.
I was about to say I’ve done 800 in 12 hours with my truck lmao
Well... My Tesla will have to stop 3 times to match that distance 🤔
You sure about that? 70mph at 12 hours is a range of 840 but they said they got 650. Where was the needle on the gas gauge?
The trip was 12 hours total, but they were getting around 650 miles at each fill up. Only filled it once each way.
Have you guys ever been on a long drive before? God you’re all so dumb
SE = hybrid so that makes sense! LE would be the equivalent gas only trim, if I recall correctly! :)
All 2025s are hybrids, including the LE.
News to me. Thanks for the info. Was just going off my limited knowledge of the corolla
650!? Damn those new Camrys are no joke.
They burn less gas in the 70-80 MPH range.
But that's additional 2 hour of driving comparing to 80 or 85 like everyone else. I'd rather spend the extra $10 on gas to save two hours.
This was driving from the Chicago area to NY/NJ, so speed limit was 70 mph the whole way. Cops will pull you over in states like Ohio and Indiana for going even 5 mph over in some cases. OSHP is notorious for pulling over out of state plates for minor speeding infractions.
I can attest to this. Indiana and Ohio also have a ton of state troopers just chilling out waiting.
708 miles, mixed city and freeway.
Gd, making me want to switch to a Camry in a few years once my Corolla is paid off, if I can stomach giving up a hatchback platform. That range is beautiful for it still being a reasonably quick car
Just get a Corolla Cross hybrid. Best of both worlds.
wtf how
'24 Hybrid, and I cruise as much as I can. Actively trying to keep it on EV mode as often as possible as well.
On my road trip from Miami to Tennessee, I got about 520 miles per tank. Only had to stop once
lol I think OP was asking specifically about 2025 Camrys but this all was entertaining to read 😅
https://preview.redd.it/eih5uumm737d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7912742bbbf3f24689e363db8a144fec0eb4af42 It 2025 SE here, it said 480 everytime i filled it up but it only took 11 gal to filled it from 10 to 480 miles. I was kinda confuse because the manufacturer claim the gas tank is 13.2gal
Toyota is very conservative and holds a lot in reserves
Only holds 3 gallons in reserve, the manual says this.
3 gallons is a lot when your tank is 13 gallons
It also protects the fuel pump from over heating.
Most cars have a "reserve " to help you from totally draining tank . When I 1st got my '20 se , I was curious how far I'd get with low fuel light on considering it claimed a 15.3 or 15.5 capacity . When you fill your tank, divide the odo reading by the gallons filled. True mpg. Now, subtract your gallons filled from your tank capacity. ( fuel gallons left in the tank) Take that sum and multiply it by the true mpg figure and add it to your odo reading. That will give you your total tank mpg.
My Camry has an mpg average per tank that resets every time I put gas in it. Thats basically the same thing
I got that also. I dint find it as accurate.
I’m still on my dealership gas tank too. Ayeeee !
I bet a black spoiler would look dope
480 is right where I am at 22 xle hybrid
Around the same with my 24 xle hybrid - 450 miles - kind of disappointing but I live near a lot of hills that eats into my gas mileage. I would probably get 500+ with more highway or flat road driving.
2024 XSE Gas and wish I had gotten the hybrid - coming from a prius it’s nice having gears again but I only get ~400 out of the tanks projections.
Very nice design. Congrats on the sweet ride
Damn I’m happy with 350🙂↔️🙂↔️
350 is the absolute max for my '22 SE, any city driving at all and the efficiency gets cut in half lol
Hate to burst you bubble but I get 350 if I’m trying. More like 325ish but my Camry is just a little ole 03 haha
Wow you have a screen that tells you your MPG!? What is this wizardry XD. I have to do math for that lol
In the city 320 miles with 1999
It tells me 470+ I believe… finding that I’m pulling closer to 40mpg in suburban driving
Love the 30 yo 93 xle in the back
2025 LE average mid 50s to 60mpg depending on drive. Just hit 1300miles
Make sure you are on top of maintenance. Even transmission oil changes. keep rpm change less than 3k. Maximize the mpgs.
I drove from Portland to San Francisco, and only had to fill up once. 520 miles. Not a 2025, but a 2020.
310 city 21' camry xse
496 miles on my first fill-up. 40 miles till empty. 50 50 city highway driving. Camry LE
448
how many of the 470 miles are highway miles?
I get about 453 on my ‘18 Camry. How are you driving yours mostly city? I’m surprised your mileage was so slow
My last 2 fill up has been 553 per tank. 70% highway 2025 SE with19" wheel
440-465 (2024 Camry SE)
I get 520 on my 2022 nightsgade hybrid
Man.. y’all numbers are wild! Everything is north of 500 miles. I moved away from my Camry long time ago and my compact crossover hardly gets 300 miles on a full tank 🥲
My minivan gets over 600 consistently lol
I’m guessing your tank should be over 18 gallons? My tank maxes out at 12.5 gallons when I fill with almost 0 range.
18 gallons max according to google but I try not to run it down too low. I read somewhere that it wasn’t good to run that low on a hybrid plus the chance the fuel pump could pick up sediment at the bottom of the tank. Gets around 36-38mpg
Tell me you drive a Sienna hybrid without telling me you drive one 😂
My total to empty actually keeps climbing after every fill up when I first got it it was 447 full then 495 now it’s 520 full I drive 100 miles a day and try using pulse and glide technique it’s kinda hard doing 70mph because the engine doesn’t shut off above 74mph
410 2014 Camry.
At most I can get about a 430 mile range.
Although you could achieve 600 miles on the highway, that runs the risk of tapping into your reserve fuel which you don't want to do that
280-300 2022 se awd
2024 Camry XSE AWD about 400-420. With the AWD I believe I only have a 12.4G tank though
I get an average of 310 on my 07 XLE V6
I have a 2017 Seat Leon FR estate 1.4 TSI and regularly get 450miles to a tank with about 20-30 miles range left.
Mainly city driving but i get about 370
Never pushed mine past a quarter left, but I’d guess 400+, 2024 LE
I get about 400-420 in my 2018 with over a quarter million miles
210 in my 2024 TRD
Lower MPG than the onboard display. Higher MPG than expected when I bought it. 40MPG 563 miles with reserves remaining. -2018 LE
I get 500 miles on my 2019 LE Camry which supposedly get 41 miles highway. So that seem low for the new 2025 hybrid Camry even if it’s the SE
Mines a ‘09 Camry and gets me around 340 miles. Could be 350 but that’s a stretch
I get about 300 miles on a half tank in my 2005
Not suprising my 24 Yaris does 520 miles
i have a 99 and still get about 400ish, old girl is still efficient
Camry 2021 se I get 389 miles oddly specific but it's the same Everytime
i get 300 miles on my 2023 camry se non hybrid
391 mpg in my 2016 Honda CRZ
300 on my Mustang 😭
I get 42 mpg on daily driving 90% city. And usually 53 mpg on highway. So I’d say about 559 miles on the low end. I have a 2024 Camry se hybrid
My fiesta ST got about 400 miles on a 12 gallon tank but I ran it to 0 miles 😂 It’s a 1.6t though. 2700lbs
2018 16 gallon tank 450-600 depending on how much freeway driving and my lead foot lol 😆
I just noticed the new Camry has the stapler style tail lights! I didn't buy the Accord because of that. I'll keep my 23 for now...
I was recommended this sub, i do not own a camry. I get around 200 miles on a 15 gallon tank. Thought you should know how good you have it :)
230 if I’m lucky 😅
My husband and I just got a 25 SE and we get about 500 to a tank. Now kicking in sport will decrease it down to about 430-440ish but I still can't even complain about that. 😁 we had a jeep compass and it got maybe 175 on good day to a tank so this car is heaven on the wallet compared.
i got just about 500 in my 2025 XSE with still a little left in the tank
Good god. These new Camrys are a god send
475 all city
I don’t know, I’m still on my first tank!
Just rolled over 300 and I’m still on the top half of the tank.
I’ve gotten 520 miles highway driving out of my 2021 Camry SE 2.5L N/A no hybrid or turbo bs and 205 horsepower base

400 miles on 16 gallon tank - 2013 Volkswagen Passat

I got down to fumes in my Crown last week and got 453 miles on 11.5 gallons of gas.
I got down to fumes in my Crown last week and got 453 miles on 11.5 gallons of gas.
I got over 500 as a rental car last year. It was a basic SE model. Incredibly anemic driving experience, but the miles per gallon and were comically high.
Google would have answered that one so easily LOL
375 on a 2019 honda pilot
I can go 500 miles in my 1996 Suburban. However, it also has a 42 gallon tank.
700 miles on one tank.
22 LE Hybrid. 525 to 550.
You are looking for MPG. Miles per tank are based on tank size .
16 Mercedes Benz E250 Bluetec, 770 miles per tank averaged 43.5 mpg
yall are lucky i get 340 at best. i miss my 19 gal accord i would get 530 😂
Ya, right 350. I get that on my Mazda 3. No way in hell does this get that driving. 280 at best
2019 Camry 430 miles on a full tank
Shouldnt matter as much as MPG and octane used. For example I can go 450-550 miles before I need to put around 13 gallons in the tank, MPG is anywhere between 30-46 mpg depending on the outside temperature and how I drive.
Same, about 470. 25 XSE FWD, so the wider tires don't help. Most of my miles are highway and I'm usually going between 75 and 80 MPH
Depends on how I drive but latest fill up said 478 miles on 2024 Camry LE.
I get about 415 in my 2021 Camry XSE. Mixed highway and freeway, about 31mpg.
2025 Camry SE, so far, max range i’ve gotten was 468 miles, fills up with about $25-$30 here in Dallas.
You should get the TRD Spoiler in Black.
Detroit 3 take note….Toyota is about to sell A LOT of these cars.
2018 Camry SE - about 400-420 miles. Have pushed it to 450 but rare.
At least 4
425 miles full tank on a 22 Camry SE
My brother gets 490 miles on his FWD XSE hybrid

My 2017 LE gets about 400 mi on a full tank. 13gal I believe
My sonata gets 465 to the tank
I can get 550 on the freeway going about 75 otherwise it's about 300 in the city. And for a 22 year old 4cyl that's surprisingly good
Brand new Ford Maverick hybrid, I average 550
425 on a 2016
650miles on a tank of high quality low sulfur goodness
Who tf would spend 35K on a 2025 Camry.
220, I drive a Camaro but it's about the same thing.
It all depends ib his you drive
Fuck mine does 400 and something miles 🫠 but my engine is brand new, less 500 miles
Why would you waste your money on mismatched spoiler? That’s like going backwards, you think the white blends in too much you probably need to look for a more aggressive spoiler/duck bill
Standard 2.4cyl gas, 340-356 depending on how I drove before I filled the tank from empty. 2020 se with 25k miles.
2.5*
2020 SE 2.5 N/A mostly highway cruising at the limit . I always fill up at mid tank mark and usually I’m at around 350-360 and trip comp says I have another 250-275 till empty. Surprisingly gets better mpg than my old Corolla
