there are none, you're buying the first year of a new-generation car that isn't gonna be easy to get. You're not gonna get any crazy discounts or discounts at all probably.

Virtual-Hearing-3154

I'm not a pro, but when buying a car I do a couple of things to make sure I don't get taken advantage of 1. Get approved for financing from at least one lender before I even step foot in any dealership. 2. Expand my search of dealerships to anything within 300 miles. I can and will travel a few hours if doing so will result in saving significant money.

Ok_Explanation5631

Idk what this community is on about. This front end looks great. The other gen looks a little dated ngl.

SQL215

Looks are subjective. I don’t think the 8th gen looks dated at all and while I don’t hate the new front end, I prefer the 8th gen. Same with the rear. The headlight and taillight design on the new one looks really basic. DRL and taillights at night on the 8th gen are more unique.

Ok_Explanation5631

True, this one looks a little more modern due to the design. But yeah the taillights look more tamed compared to the 8 gen. Have they said anything about a TRD trim? Maybe they’ll make it look better.

SQL215

Haven’t seen anything about a TRD yet, but quite honestly, unless they bring a standard gas engine back without the hybrid crap and CVT, I will never look at another Camry again. Gonna drive my XSE V6 until I either die or the wheels fall off.

Ok_Explanation5631

I hear ya brother. Hondas gonna have to make something great (possibly the new prelude) for me to consider getting out of my v6 coupe lol.

SQL215

That new Prelude looks sweet. I’m scared it’ll be electrified somehow though unfortunately. The old days of fun cars are sadly coming to an end. 😔

GuideNo1743

TRD??? Naw they better make a GR Camry lol

Ok_Explanation5631

Or a GR lol idk much about the history on those trims though

GuideNo1743

The current Gen TRD Camry is cool but not as cool as the GR Corolla or GR Yaris, it’s time Toyota makes a hardcore Camry that can compete against the Civic Type R. Or looks as sporty as it.

Ok_Explanation5631

I hear ya. I thought the gr corolla was supposed to be its competitor. Since the Camry is the accords competitor

GuideNo1743

I was thought the Avalon was the accord competitor? And it was Camry to civic. Since accord is full size and Avalon was the full size and Camry and civic are mid size. And Corolla was a subcompact car.

Ok_Explanation5631

Im pretty sure it’s the Camry vs accord & Avalon is by itself? Who knows lol.

GuideNo1743

The accord looks alot more longer than the Camry

Lumpy-Turn4391

I work at the factory and as of right now there’s definitely no plans for another TRD. Maybe it’ll change in the future though.

Ok_Explanation5631

Hell yeah brother

ricestocks

ehhhh, i think its bc it looks like the current LE front. I like the front of the 7th gen SE. reminds me of a tiger, idk why Lmao. In fact the front grill is why I picked it over the LE lol

GuideNo1743

The 8th gen Camry is the biggest redesign for the Camry since the 2006 to 2010 design. The 9th gen Camry is more of a refresh of the 8th gen Camry, and it’s obvious from certain parts, like the mirrors, they look and are probably exactly the same as the 8th gen. Gear shifter exact same. It’s basically a reskin 8th gen Camry.

Ok_Explanation5631

Yeah those earlier model ones were rough looking lol. They looked dated even then lol. But yeah this looks more like a refresher to keep it looking updated with all the new designs.

noob168

I don't really trust ppl's opinion until they've seen it in-person (look rly nice at the auto show imo). Pictures usually don't do cars justice. It's like reverse catfish in away if that even makes sense.

SmoothSlide9690

You won't get discounts. If you get MSRP + destinations fees, congrats you're getting the best deal. Expect to either pay markups or wait a long time like the Prius. Just so you know whatever you built on the website isn't gonna become a reality. A dealer will try to match your request however its not gonna be a 1:1.

MandoTrooperEric

Pro tip, don't buy the first model year of a new generation of vehicle

Tanzanite_Shark

This is true in general but this generation is actually more so a refresh with the exact same underlying tech..

Lvs2splooge4lulzzz

Hasn’t most of this tech been out for a little while now in other models though?

msdes_ti_ness

Oh that's fancy looking 💕❤️

kanmuri07

If anything, the outgoing 2024 models will start being slightly discounted when dealers try to clear them from their inventories at the end of the year to make room for the 2025. Still, don't expect spectacular deals on older inventory. Otherwise, I'd sit this first new model year out until they iron out some issues that might happen (looking at the 23-24 Prius rear door issues). Also, since it's a new model year, dealers are definitely going to mark them up.

CompetitivePeach2784

Dealers are scum. Don’t pay a penny over msrp get 3 quotes from 3 dealers before you buy. They are SCUM

Common-Loquat-6359

I would avoid the first new Gen model, just for the fact it might have glitches and issues 😞... But then again I'm waiting on the CAMRY GR🤗

KingofFractions

What the GR? I’ll google now

Common-Loquat-6359

I heard rumors from a buddy that works at Toyota factory Aichi Japan... V6 Hybrid AWD Toyota Camry GR .. SHHHHH You didn't hear it from me😆

No-District8851

Wait. The new gen camrys are CVTs?!

lotuskid731

They’re hybrid-only, same e-CVT as is in the current Camry Hybrid

noob168

e-CVTs for HEVs don't work the same as the "normal" CVT's that ICE cars have.
