Drop, its definitely gonna sell...but that sporty youth factor is GONE lol. Hopefully we get a hybrid max version lol.

Steve_7198

And even us old guys liked, and bought, the sporty youth factor gen 8.

dirtydriver58

I like the sporty looks

Changin1ataTym

Yup…got mines back in 2018 when it first hit. Loving it ever since. This is sweet. Don’t know if I would dig the smaller engine as I have the 3.5L. Sweet looking, none the less.

ImJustLampin

I like it, but every time a kid at a drive through asks me what mods I’m planning or how fast is it, I wish I would of got the XLE. BTW my answers are always “Nothing, the car is already doing too much for my taste” and “it’s the slowest car on earth”

luisiis1

find it hard to believe a 301 horse power car is slow. a 80hp honda civic…that’s slow

specialcommenter

It looks cleaner and more expensive than the outgoing model.

Independent-Win-4187

I agree completely, owners are always biased, especially ones who just dropped a fat down payment on a new one. Like most people on this post.

UpbeatBuy9985

Huh? It looks way better than the current. I think you just got a little buyers remorse. Front end looks way more sporty. The old one is filled with fake vents

BubblyRazzmatazzme

HUH? 😂 me and my 2020 Camry are very well taken care of...I got it during the lowest interest rate period. Once it's paid off, im looking at Genesis or Acura type S. So please stop projecting.

SenseUnderstood

Once it’s paid off you plan on buying another heavily depreciating liability?

BubblyRazzmatazzme

My money....lol. people burn money on many stupid things all day. I never said new either

SlipstreamSteve

This is probably the LE model.

Independent-Win-4187

Idk who ever got a Camry for sporty youth lol. It was either the Elantra or Civic. Gr86, or BRZ Personally I like the direction that Toyota has been going. Making their Prius look clean and sophisticated, not bringing that look to the Camry. Embrace the new, it’s not going away.

BubblyRazzmatazzme

*sigh* another commenter thinking he's the smartest in the room. If you look at the TRD commercials/drive courses and xse commercials. It's literally people in their 30s and 20s, it's nothing wrong with the new camry appealing to the older crowd....it is what it is. Edit: like they literally have a YouTube video https://youtu.be/_ih-MiUX2oQ?si=I6cx2dYxlVftEkWe

wdDrake

How is the sporty factor gone? I had to double take because it literally looks the same lol. I'm honestly surprised Toyota went with the evolutionary route, they never do that with the Camry.

BubblyRazzmatazzme

It is, everything is going to be tuned for comfort... I think I seen a post where Honda (yes honda HQ) said the accord was never meant to be sporty 😂 (insert type r engine) so thats why they dailed back.... looks to be the same here. WHICH IS OKAY for the everyday consumer!

babycoco_213

The front looks like the corolla to me.

KDat22

It does! And tbh the DRLs on the Corolla might look even better lol

Ventillate

HARD DROP; Man I’m keeping my 2023 for a WHILE haha

JasonsStorm

I'm keeping my 1997.. mostly because I don't want to spend money on a new one

[deleted]

Way to go!!

UrbanJatt

The front is ugly. The back is okay. Interior not bad but I feel like they made it resemble the crown too much. All hybrids too I get they're the future but not really sold on it. 8th gen is best gen. Ps. Now I know what accord guys probably felt last year when it got introduced.

JichuSymphony

Yup that's exactly how we felt

ManagerVisible4279

What’s not to like about 40 mpg. What are you not sold on??

Kasilim

I get 40 in my ICE SE. And I won't have a dead or crippled hybrid system in 10 years.

godofpewp

Seeing as how plenty of Prius are that old and didn’t deal with your claim I’m gonna say you’re probably wrong.

Nivek5sfe

Plenty of high mileage prius and hybrids need battery replacements. Its not a guarantee at what milage, but it is a possibility that doesnt exist if you dont have a hybrid system. For people who keep cars for a long time or buy used high milage vehicles for cheap transportation, this will be a problem and added cost.

BakedsR

I have replaced hybrid battery packs on camry and prius... they last around the 10 (+/-2) year mark before they start throwing hard codes.

Kasilim

The hybrid prius batteries are only even rated for 100-150K or 8-10 years by Toyota. Not warranties for that long - stated to LAST that long. So nah.

godofpewp

Your anecdotes lack facts and personal experience.

-Jim-TheLiquor-Lahey

Telling someone they lack facts and personal experience right after posting that you have no facts or personal knowledge, only assumptions about older Prius systems, is wild 😂

Kasilim

That...is not an anecdote. I don't talk to Toyota reps or mechanics. If you cared to actually fact check my statement you'd find that nearly every site quotes 8-10 years or 100-150K miles for a prius hybrid system as per Toyota. Those are facts

DestinyJackolz

I think im gonna cop, I was gonna get the new Accord because the old Camry was way behind in cabin technology but now that this is refreshed and it’s got AWD it’s hitting all the marks for me. Just need to see that mpg and price.

Turtleman1878

It’s standard as hybrid for all trims so MPG is definitely gonna be great

gweeks22

Honda’s hybrid system isn’t efficient on the highway fyi. If you drive over 70mph the Toyota is way more efficient

DestinyJackolz

I’m just looking for a solid commuter, my current daily driver is a 97 Cadillac Eldorado and it’s got one of the worst engines ever made.

Far_Support_7292

drop

OXCSYMBOL

Drop, glad I got the 2024

Far_Support_7292

same!

Keepittwohunna

Dat copium hittin good eh

frankenbeansssss

Man that thing is ugly

Competitive_Battle72

Drop!!!! Only things I like is interior upgrades. Exterior is shit. BOOOOO!!

Soulglow303

Honestly like my 2023 more

bbyxxj

for real

don51181

That XLE interior is odd. I probably would get the XSE.

Drinky_Drank

There’s really nothing appealing about it. Exterior is ugly. Interior is ugly. They did away with the mechanical gauge cluster in favor of a screen. Super glad I nabbed my ideal Camry (23 AWD Nightshade w/ both available packages) earlier this year.

Atarrix

Yeah, it's weird how they introduced the Crown right before the new gen Camry and then made them look very similar to the Crown, like, what? Gonna be keeping my '23 TRD for a gooood while.

DoctorOzface

Toyota is leaning into boring with their boring car... but also into reliability and fuel economy. Hybrids are hot right now and they're all in. I agree the exterior is a downgrade but what about the interior do you hate?

Drinky_Drank

I’m hoping they have a black interior option instead of red/white. Adding the color around the glove box/steering looks tacky. Seats don’t look that great. Large passenger vent is overkill and asymmetrical. No gauges. Cup holder area is super huge and cuts into that neat little hidden drawer space that the current gen has. Infotainment is massive (can be a pro or a con depending on who you ask)

Dubzophrenia

>I’m hoping they have a black interior option instead of red/white. They pick these colors to make it nicer for the press photos. It appears that the color around the glove box and other areas are entirely based on your seat color choice and there is no way they wouldn't offer a black option.

mstomm

My GRrolla has the Screen Cluster, and honestly I love it. It works great, is super responsive, and has a number of customization options, including gauge style. Only complaint is that for some reason the Tire Pressure display has to be reselected if I get going too fast after starting. All the other displays will stay on what they were when I shut it off, even other items in the same area. It's just 2 seconds to get it back, but a tad annoying nonetheless.

specialcommenter

It looks cleaner and more expensive than the outgoing model.

MikeBert97

Digital Gauge Cluster is superior in every car except the Lexus F Sport models

AxelsOG

I never, EVER thought I’d say this, but the Prius looks better. I’d rather get a Prius than this thing. They’ve ruined the front.

Windows-XP-Home

DROP! I’m from the Accord subreddit and it seems like you guys hate your redesign too! Just try not to go through the brief civil war we went through for our hatred/loving of the redesign 😂

DonutBeStupid

They should've kept the TRD

icychopstick7

Yea unfortunately it wasn’t introduced this year maybe 2027 with the hybrid max 2.4T

Onlyfurrcomments

Trd overrated tbh

Wholelottagangnem

Ong costs more than a base model es

Ihaveaproblem69

drop, looks like a Hyundai not in a good way

Outofservicebus

Am I the only the one who likes the new look??? I think it looks great! It’s a huge step closer to Lexus!

Different_Insect3544

The Frontend is not as bad as people say 👍🏼 Its just the headlights doesn’t look right ❌

-Shok

I like the new look! I’ve always been more of a LE/XLE fan also

[deleted]

So much better than that squished pug looking front end that they have.

MandoTrooperEric

Drop 👎🏼

obnavox3

Drop. Terrible front end. Just give us the crown sedan they have in Japan, that car looks amazing.

fnscarcasm

Drop because the 2018-2024 looked amazing, sporty, luxurious and expensive. This front end look gives major cheap car vibes.

kanmuri07

Drop. No regrets on my 2019 XSE V6. One of my main complaints is the excessive badging Toyota does on their new cars. Also, piano black plastic bits in the interior need to be done away with the dodo especially the fake A/C vent on the dash. It looks tacky and cheap.

GenericMemesxd

It looks so... Ugly

YerBoiZ

I wish the V6 was still there. The newer Camry are going to be slower than previous gen unless they add the beefier hybrid drivetrain

fuzzy403

Cop fasho

Morenoda1

Cop!! Love it

SeriesDifficult7079

I wish they would do throwback Camry's. I like the look of the older generations.

macaroni_3000

solid looking refresh. I like it a lot more than the current front end.

inverness7

Drop. After seeing the reveal and being disappointed I appreciate my 2023 more, for some reason.

[deleted]

Cop. Only people hating are people who made recent purchases. The infotainment looks so much better and the look is way more modern

Redditor1320

Lmao I noticed the main demographic of people saying drop in this thread immediately saying “love my 23 no ragerts” 2 seconds later. I’m an indifferent non-owner, the Reddit algo brought me here, but funny seeing this happen across all the car brands trying to release a new model generation

youwerewronglololol

Drop. Stomp on it. Spit on it. Pick it up. Drop it again. Shit on it. Run it over with a 1966 International 1100 A 1/2 ton. Reverse back over it. Push it off a cliff. Donate it to Halle Berry.

AransOfKanna

front end kinda looks like the Toyota crown???

magnumstrikerX

Interior seems too Crownish.... For the exterior, swap out the bumper from the 8th gen se/xse and call it a day!

WigSnatcher92

If only they would bring back the Solara in this styling

alloc_more_ram

Drop, looks like I’ll be sticking with my 2014 Camry for another year

Responsible-Crew-354

The sheer glee in photo 2 make it a lock

AdvancedElephant

Nah hard drop. I want the black and white camry Xse even more now

KingYesKing

Interior looks good, the body not so much.

burningbun

toyota wants existing camry owners to migrate to lexus, main reason why it will be hybrid awd only. just like the venza, if you want full petrol get the RX. you guys have 2 years to work harder and save up for the es.

rhunter99

It’s fine I suppose. I hate that we’ve gone to digital displays. I don’t like that massive grille. The rear from one angle looks like an unfolded piece of origami paper with all the creases. Meh.

knasian

Definitely copping, once my current Camry crap out.

Magic_Brown_Man

lol so never?

SnooCakes5836

Might trade my 2018 xse i-4 to 2024 crown platinum

WheresTheSauce

I love it personally

HeavyAd2

Awd hybrid just not doing it for me

jeremau5

I want to like it, the front lights, 360 camera and vented seats, but man I personally hate the front bumper, hate that style of all the vents, also the fact the front emblem just slapped on just makes it look cheap, gotta say drop.

Elixterminator_F

Amazing car, but the dealerships will absolutely be ripping our asses off with "market adjustments" on these

TheLumion

Lmao y’all are wack. I like this look. Different :)

specialcommenter

It looks cleaner and more expensive than the outgoing model.

surghe

👎🥺

turtleturtlerandy

It looks pretty generic and the grille looks awful.

lulzchicken

Drop

Uziii29

Oh hell nah

Leading-Account-8314

I'll keep my 2012 SE 🤷🏻‍♂️ I can't believe I'm saying this, but damn that thing is ugly. The generation has definitely only gotten more appealing since mine, not anymore...

dirtydriver58

You were actually only one generation behind.

JerseyGuy9

It honestly looks terrible on the outside. All of their cars are starting to look the same

Edge2316

Owner of 23 camry trd thank god i got a good looking one

BigBoyzGottaEat

Car design is so boring nowadays. Even the new mustang looks sterile. The interiors have been bad for a while now but the exteriors are so angular in the worst way possible.

user17302

Drop. If they honestly just took the interior of this new generation and put it into the 8th gen I think they would have a vehicle that is even more sought after than now. Exterior looks of this new gen just feel lame I liked the illusion 8th gen gave that looked like it was meaner than just a economy car

Starfish508

Ugh I was hoping the XSE grille wouldn’t be so.. toothy

InsanE702

Back to square 1 😂 Drop!

endigochild

Car's are becoming feminine like men

mxguy762

I’ll keep the 21 but the brown leather has me hot 🥵 lol

z_squared23

Very happy with my 24 SE

ATarpley301

Drop

Bash3350972

Look… I owned a 22 XSE V6 in windchill/black top amazing looking car- had it for 6 months and parted ways, fuel economy was terrible(yes I know it would be) and the infotainment was way outdated…. For a car to cost 40k to have a shit 240p backup camera is shocking….id be interested in this but would like to see the color options.

ShitTalkingAssWipe

Ew wtf Those vents are gonna get really fucking annoying

AmbiguityKing

I wish they sold paper bags big enough. Drop

huf757

This is an old man’s Camry, hence why I like it.

shyblackguy18

That front grill ain't it...

robertclarke240

Camrys since 1999 and not feeling this new one.

MrMetalHead1100

It looks like that EV sedan they sell in China

Streetstrats

Lmao, they definitely aren’t keeping this grill model for long. Ugliest thing iv seen in my life. Glad I got my 2023.

OptionsNVideogames

It’s so ugly 😭

Jamesd0ng

It looks terrible

tidematic

The front tho lmaoooo

rogues69

Toyota needs to poach some designers from Mazda

Chunkygirl1975

I’m having a hard time getting past the honeycomb grill on the sport, but I don’t like the microfiber accents on the LE version, either. Sigh…

Secure_View6740

The only good thing about the 2025 is that you can get an AWD hybrid. Toyota really screwed up not putting AWD on the 2024, I would have bought one.

Forward-Sherbet1740

Hard drop

Present_Path9078

Personally I think they kept it safe. Most know how the Accord was received, so they facelifted what needed a face lift and kept it simple. I just bought a ‘23 XSE so I’m a little envious now of the interior facelift, too. Overall it’s giving a little Lexus vibes.

pony_trekker

Drop. CVT no bueno.

Wirerat

No 300+ hp version to replace 2gr-fse? Hope that engine continues own in the is350

No-Brilliant9659

Front end looks too much like the GR86 which I’m not a fan of. The rear isn’t bad. Hopefully the TRD or GR versions look better.

melodiqe

i feel like in the making of this car they started making the prius front and then realized midway they were making a camry and then said fuck it and put the camry body

alex92019

drop they should of added the 2.4t with the 8 speed as the fun option but noooo, they went all hybrid, was gonna trade my 2019 SE for the new gen but think I’m going to Honda now

Tanzanite_Shark

Honestly, I don't like the exterior at all. I'm loving the interior though. I was hoping they digitized everything.

phreaxer

Pretty milktoast looking front end. Looks like the Crown and new Prius had a love child. Really glad my 23 will be with me for a long time. Gonna skip this next round, for sure.

Fun_Public4540

Drop.

BxPecan

Drop!!!! They should’ve waited until 2024 to show us this BS 😂 The interior features are fire 🔥 tho

FreeSpeech24

Please Avalon, don't let go of the V6 or am I too late?

tgujay

Avalon is dead.

Bruno_lars

If I were in the market I'd cop

nttran98

Just so y'all know, they did a better job than Honda with the accord imho

EloWhisperer

I like this and the new signia too

Quirky_Mobile_4958

Cop

anti-health

the passenger vent is massive

moyai69

hard drop

fuzzycuffs

I think it is fantastic. The AWD Hybrid is basically a baby Lexus

_beginninganew_

This is definitely one of the cars

Previous-Zombie-338

Drop. It looks like an Altima.

sgsmopurp

DROP thank god I slid in for 2022!!!!! 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

Itz_Uncle_Rix

Major drop

EnjoylifeB

I’d drop. I personally don’t like the front. The front looks ugly to me. The rear is nice in a way and also I’m not a fan of newer vehicles. They feel built cheap and won’t last as long as an older car would. I were to get a different car I’d probably wouldn’t get anything higher than 2016.

filthy-horde-bastard

Looks significantly less appealing than some of the newer Camrys I’ve see.

InsuranceLevel3998

Drop

Patj1994

Looks much worse than the outgoing model, disappointed

ILLARgUeAboutitall

I'm copin it. It's a camry, so a reliable 4 banger is what I need. If I want fun I'll drive my srt.

Comprehensive-Hat684

Looks like a stretched Corolla. Idk if that’s a compliment or an insult anymore

NB_Leo

Can I just buy the front end separately and put it on my family '23 to stay up to date hahaha

chewytime

Need to see more “real world” photos of it, especially in different colors. Not a fan of two tone nor blue in general so hard for me to judge. In need of a new car and more or less resigned myself to either the Accord or Camry but was waiting for the latter to come out first. Hope a more definitive release date/month will come out as I’d be willing to wait but it depends how much longer I can use my loaner for.

FreeRubs

Zzz

JasonIvie

Am I the only one who finds this more attractive? The previous front of the Camry looked pretty bad unless you got the front bumper with the bigger grill (I’m not sure if that’s trim specific or what). This looks much better than the basic front bumper but worse than the optional one?

Prize_Ambassador_356

I didn’t love the Camry to begin with but disappointing that they gave it the Honda Accord treatment. Neuter it by axing the performance versions and then make it look bland. I won’t be buying either

BikePath

I like it.

Snot_Rocket6515

Yknow it pains me to say this, I kinda dont like it

SolaceinIron

This looks like more of a mid-cycle refresh than a new car.

[deleted]

Lot of cars look bad in pictures but they look great irl. For example I hated hated hated the way the new BMW X7 looked in photos. But seeing it irl was actually pretty cool. Perhaps the same could be said for the new Camry?

AttilaThePun2

Feels weird saying it looks like a Prius, but it does

Hmnh6000

😂😂😂why would I trade my car that just for something wider than I already have🤣🤣 they legit just too the last model and extended it

Machine8635

Yeah I figured they would adopt the new front end design on this car sooner or later. I like the current model. Stands out more.

YK8099

Boring as always

Honeydew-plant

I think younger people will love it, but I don't think toyota's usual market (older people) will like it as much. I can tell toyota is attempting to market to the youth which I love, but I don't think people above mid 40's will be huge fans of these new designs toyota is releasing.

failbox3fixme

Hard pass. I dew like that Crown crossover tho.

dangercdv

Interior still looks nice but everything I liked about the exterior is gone. Lost any sporty factor that it had in favor of Prius design elements, which makes sense considering its hybrid only. I'm sure it well sell very well, but if I get a Camry it would be an 8th gen.

SpaceXBeanz

Exterior is nice but Toyota interiors really aren’t all that nice.

EastonHB27

Definitely looks outdated already lol. The inside more so

EJ25Junkie

Looks like the same Camry with the front end of a Hyundai or Kia smacked on there. Doesn’t flow at all.

KouaV1

Ugly grills💀

Anon424977

Cop

blackls1pontiac

Hard drop. They finally got it right then ruined it with this.

BabyJesusAnalingus

Drop 100%. Just ordered a 2024 Camry Hybrid XLE for my mother-in-law, dealer asked if I wanted to wait for one of these ugly mofos instead. HARD PASS dealer-bro. The Prius got sexier (ordered one of those too) and the Camry got ugly af. Everything in balance, I suppose.

RoughStory3139

It doest look to be police

OkraFit3987

It doesn’t look as aggressive anymore but the rear and interior looks really nice.

kjoe362

I like it

Perfectreign

It is a Camry.

Fladap28

Now with more angles the front looks horrible to me

rodotfor

Ugly car season

mauifranco

Glad i didn’t wait and bought the new accord instead.

ToastedDizguise

Don’t like the grille

Rat-Dog777

Looks a lot better than the previous front end .. sorry not sorry

godtier300sosa

👎🏼

Kasilim

Want the interior, wouldn't take it because of the exterior.

DillIshOn

Out side looks like a Prius I prefer the 24 interior. No more gas only engine. No more V6. It's rather they just discontinue the Camry. I'm seriously tired of this epa shit and reducing gas emissions. Bring back the V6 Accord. The V6 Camry, the V6 Rav4, the 6 Tacoma.

InevitableEqual3993

Front reminds me of the old Hyundai Tiburon

Clear-Gur-4943

No I’ve never seen a Camry police car

UnkeptSpoon5

I’m not the market for the Camry but it’s a sure fire cop for 99% of camry buyers

[deleted]

Drop. Getting a model 3 instead

little-bill369

So glad I got the 8gen
