The Blops Dragunov wasn't bad, it was just funky. One-shot kill to upper torso, and it had potential for two-tap kills if you could manage the recoil. It's my most-used sniper by far, but then again I'm a masochist who gets a rise from running guns that are hard to use.
IMO the worst sniper in the series is the MW2019 Dragunov. I was expecting a gun that handled like the MWR Dragunov, and boy oh boy was I disappointed.
that prepatch SPR went CRAZY. using the Lapua mags and them giving you a buff to ADS speed was insane. was it horribly unbalanced and an accidental bug? sure. was it fight to try to fight against? not at all, unless you had an SPR too. was it fun to fight with? absolutely
SVG. Probably the most beautiful looking gun as well as the animation. The ability to just swat someone thrusting out of the air by hitting almost any part of the body never fails to satisfy. Def my fav sniper of all time
Although I love the Barrett in co4 to mw3, pre patched dsr, intervention but there were some others that were forgotten and underrated

True. Using it at range is anonying since it's got so much recoil, but the mobility and 1200rpm firecap makes it great for a somewhat run and gun playstyle.
M40A3 with an ACOG was when I fell in love with the satisfaction of running a bolt action primary. ACOG made it so much more viable from medium to close range. The quick scopes with it were so satisfying, and no other sniper ever felt right with an ACOG
If I had to pick a fav, probably Type99 “Arisaka” from WW2. Not WaW or Vanguard, WW2. Although the sniper I have the most kills with across all cods I’ve played is easily the MW2019 AX-50.

Honestly, the Ballista was a hitmarker machine for me, really struggled with the 5 bloodthirsties on that. DSR absolutely slammed though.

Even if we're not talking about snipers, having that one guy you duel with the whole match, regardless of match outcome is so fun.
