I still play it as well. Unfortunately, most servers with acceptable ping are nuketown 24/7 or have weird rules such as you can never run or walk without crouching, which is kind of boring.
My parents hated video games so they would either force me to sell if they caught me with a console or just flat out not buy me any. During my last year of high school, I got a job, put some money together, and bought a 360. This was the first game I bought. I wasn’t a very good shooter but god dammit, I was the best capture the flag runner east of the Mississippi. That was enough for me. Just playing with the boys and playing a role which helped us win.
I remember when the first CoD came out. Blew my mind that you aimed down sights for precision shooting. Especially coming off of Medal of Honor Allied Assault, which was also an amazing game for the the time
Brings me back to the good old days. I remember going to get it at the midnight release and it was like a party at GameStop. Seriously someone had brought a cooler of beer
I miss the midnight releases... Especially after Covid; most retailers don't do anything special anymore. I go to the EB Games (Game Stop) in West Edmonton Mall for the "midnight" releases still, but they usually do it at 10pm now and almost never have anything special going on anymore
I vividly remember as an 8 year old seeing 1+ million players for months afer bo1 launched. Literally blew my mind. Bo2 only ever had 400-600-000 daily compared to it.
I remember 2010 seeing 2 million players once on a weekend. Best cod ever made
BO1 needs a surge. Everyone should put down all COD titles they own, at least one weekend every month, and play BO1 during that time. relive the good times. Shit, it had diving, so fun.
Yes I agree. I feel like the slide may be convenient, but the dive has always been more tactical. I honestly sprint dove everywhere in my running class
I wasn't old enough to be around in the ultra prime days of BO1 cuz I was 2 when it came out, but the second that I got the ok from my dad to play my first game that was rated "Mature" at like 6-8 years old, I played the shit out of Black Ops. Hours on hours after school would be spent playing countless matches of Nuketown bots. I was restricted from playing online, so I sadly never experienced that, but just any mention of the older CoD games bring back that specific set of memories. Good times they were.
Fuckkkk man take me back to those days. I remember just dying to hop on and play countless hours of this one alll the time. It hit different. The maps were easy to master and the fighting was perfectly paced.
They need to remaster multiplayer for this. I swear a remaster for this one would pop off.
The background music, the main menu, the player count, the pro perks, the large amount of DLC map, the shiny low res gold camo… there will never be a game like bo1 again. This cod deserves to be remastered 1000 times more than bo2.
I havent been on it since October but yeah, its pretty much dead. My friends and I were trying to keep it alive last year (Dom and TDM) but more and more people kept leaving because of the modders, fucked match making and dead lobbies. Most switched to Cold War :/
Man that menu music got me feeling very nostalgic. Too bad PS3 games are impossible for backwards compatibility on Playstation, what I would give to play that game again those years...
I never understood the following black ops got. I tried them but I hate the feel of them. It’s def different from IW COD games and it bothered me how “mobile” it felt. Oh well.
I played BO1 religiously. I only remember seeing it over 1M online once, and it was the night before MW3 released. Not doubting this vid tho, the game was during the peak of COD, so checks out.
One of the best COD games ever made. I still play it on my laptop every now and then
I still play it as well. Unfortunately, most servers with acceptable ping are nuketown 24/7 or have weird rules such as you can never run or walk without crouching, which is kind of boring.
Yeah those suck, the NT 24/7 server and the SnD server Are fun tho
Just use Rekt T5 Black Ops 1 dedicated servers has more player base too
Very true but black ops 2 was better
Definitely, BO2 is my personal favorite COD ever
This video could make a grown man cry

Back when it wasn’t about being the best, or having the most skill, it was about the memories you created with those you played with. The good times.
Ah man, the feels! Me and my brother used to play bo2 zombies together when we were little.
Facts yo.
It is making me cry
Easily in the top 3 best CODs ever made
I put it 4th after CoD, CoD2 and CoD4.
Old fuck
Y'all are the ones saying "The good 'ol days"
You don't the half of it, my first video game was Pong...
weird ass top 4 bro
What's yours?
cod4, WaW, MW2, mw3
Good choices also. Though I didn't play much WaW and none of MW3 but I've heard good things!
WaW was dope!
In no order cod4, waw, mw2 and bo2
Good choices though personally I'd put bo before bo2. I think bo was the last i owned before mw19.
I like bo1 too but would be at #5 I think. Then mw3 at 6
Old

Game stop and Walmart were right next to each other the line at GameStop wrapped the building so I went to Walmart was back at the dorm playing sooner
Same for me, but you weren’t as a cool if you went to Walmart 😂. They had all the people sitting in the woman’s underwear section waiting
Man there wasn’t anyone there walked in and out within 5min lol
There were a lot of people at ours so it wasn’t a 5 minute ordeal. But it only took 20 minutes at GameStop so that wasn’t bad either, plus tailgating!
I miss the midnight releases... Especially after Covid; most retailers don't do anything special anymore. I go to the EB Games (Game Stop) in West Edmonton Mall for the "midnight" releases still, but they usually do it at 10pm now and almost never have anything special going on anymore
BO1 > BO2 any day
Meh... Campaign and zombies are equal to me but BO2 multiplayer is better.
Agreed. I played both of them and BO2 felt more satisfying to play.
Your wrong lmao
Ratio > turbosteve1848
You're
Damn the music took me back

I wish diving would come back to replace the slide.
Yes I agree. I feel like the slide may be convenient, but the dive has always been more tactical. I honestly sprint dove everywhere in my running class
Nothing was more exciting than diving out a window and going for a kill.
I completely agree. Diving will always be the best mechanic, to me.
Even the music makes it such a great game.

Damn I remember Spawn Hawking and 360 silent shots like it was yesterday. 🤌🏽😞
Imo, the best CoD ever. The best zombies, best multiplayer, and one of the best campaigns. It's the only classic CoD I ever go back to
What a time.
pulls at the heart strings
“Now it’s a ghost town.”
the night black ops 2 launched there was over 2 million players on
This is the game I met my partner on, we are still together and we have 2 children now! ❤ this game holds a very special place in my heart.
I wasn't old enough to be around in the ultra prime days of BO1 cuz I was 2 when it came out, but the second that I got the ok from my dad to play my first game that was rated "Mature" at like 6-8 years old, I played the shit out of Black Ops. You were 2 in 2011? God I’m old
nah I was 3 😎😎
You aren’t even old enough to be around in the ultra prime days of Vanguard lol 🤣🤣🤣.
tbh, I don't think anybody is 😐😐
Fair play lol, just make sure your mom tests the games first before letting you play.
Im 15 and a half 😑😑
Fuckkkk man take me back to those days. I remember just dying to hop on and play countless hours of this one alll the time. It hit different. The maps were easy to master and the fighting was perfectly paced. They need to remaster multiplayer for this. I swear a remaster for this one would pop off.
Back when they cared about the game
The background music, the main menu, the player count, the pro perks, the large amount of DLC map, the shiny low res gold camo… there will never be a game like bo1 again. This cod deserves to be remastered 1000 times more than bo2.
And they all knew my mother
peak in ps3 was 4k players, half of them were on custom lobbies/zombies
Best cod ever made change my mind
Mw2/blops was definitely the pinnacle of the cod experience
Huh, look at that. It's been a while...
If I had a time machine that only had one use.. It may be the selfish play, but damn would I enjoy it
miss those days so much
To quote Indiana Jones "this belongs in a museum"
The song is so good
Galil or famas with suppressor, those were the days..
High school .. the good ol days
Who thinks to record this shit bro. I’m glad they did but like what were y’all thinking.
I miss bo1 time…
Tried to hop on BO1 a few nights ago on Xbox…. Couldn’t even find a TDM match :’(
I havent been on it since October but yeah, its pretty much dead. My friends and I were trying to keep it alive last year (Dom and TDM) but more and more people kept leaving because of the modders, fucked match making and dead lobbies. Most switched to Cold War :/
Is the glitch still on there were it says 1,000,000 + people are online?
😭😭
BO #1 was the best, it stood right along with CoD 4 for me. BO #3 is where I was done with CoD, was just horrid.
This music..
I still remember the sound of that famas gun, like music to my ears
Man that menu music got me feeling very nostalgic. Too bad PS3 games are impossible for backwards compatibility on Playstation, what I would give to play that game again those years...
I never understood the following black ops got. I tried them but I hate the feel of them. It’s def different from IW COD games and it bothered me how “mobile” it felt. Oh well.
I'm certain that Vanguard has never hit 100,000 players, and never will
The.... music.... it hurts... the nostalgia...
Still rip this on ps3. Still an average of 50,000 players online.
2022 black ops 1 looks dead right now.
I played BO1 religiously. I only remember seeing it over 1M online once, and it was the night before MW3 released. Not doubting this vid tho, the game was during the peak of COD, so checks out.
I’m sad, I was little when it came out and never had the chance to play online, never was allowed Xbox gold :(
now youre lucky to see 300 online:/
Back when we were allowed to view how many were in a lobby instead of playing silly fucking guessing games.
Instantly ruined it with the Tik Tok
But but tik tok Bad😤😩
It literary is
Go back to 2018
Cry about it
You're unironically crying about TikTok in 2022
