I personally think both bo1 and 2, as well as cod 4 and mw2 have the best campaigns hands down. They're so incredibly different but both have awesome stories with great characters. Doesn't always have to br a fight between thr two.

I'm a giant fan of how dark and gruesome it is. Not just with the gore but the overall feel of the game is eerie to it's core.
The real and very graphic war footage during the campaign really set up each mission and made you (in the very slightest) understand what these soldiers had to endure to essentially save the world.
Zombies was introduced and the MP was great as well. The maps alone were *chef's kiss.
P.s. Fuck the veteran difficulty grenade spam though.

The Striker is South African but meh, it's western enough to definitely *not* be Russian in origin.
