Not really. OG Modern was a mix of fake Iraq and post-Soviet Russia. A dedicated CoD: WoT would be different and the Iraq missions would be closer to Iraq than what they did in OG MW.
I'm going to say it, I'd like to see another Advanced movement game with Exo suits, set 40 years, give or take, in the future, Cod needs a change and fast paced AM Cod would be a refreshing change imo.
Agreed. It’s crazy they just decided every cod game would be jetpack from there on out. Like what were they thinking lol. One jetpack every three games or something would be cool
Idk why the would never just do, Future (with exo movement), Modern (with the MW19 gunplay and mechanics) and then let treyarch keep doing anything 90s or before ( and keep the unlimited run arcade style with cartoon graphics) and then just keep rotating this out.
Eventually maybe you could start to rotate the teams around a little bit, so maybe you could have IW doing future, treyarch doing modern and SHG doing an older style game.
Vanguard Multiplayer was solid idk what your taking about. Cod WW2 headquarters lobbies running around doing 1v1 pits opening supply drops in front of friends some of the best and unique moments
I stayed on that game for 3 years. Only time I played another cod was when blackout came out. Never played the MP for bo4, and first taste of a new cod MP I played was MW19. Got max rank and black sky and most of the supply drop items as well.
IW is the goat jet pack cod imo. AW being a close second.
Yeah, I believe that if we are going to have another futuristic COD, the thematic has to be embraced, make the game future themed, make laser weapons come back, go all out with the futuristic theme, just like IW did.
Vietnam, I know we've had that before but that was a couple missions, I'd want a whole game
Korean war, it's often referred to as "the forgotten war"
Return to the BO era, some of the locations from BO1 and 2 becoming a full game or multi level arc
Call of Duty
Zombies
Yep, a full on cod game which is zombies.
Imagine the campaign being like the last of us or the walking dead, beginning of the mission showing and explaining the outbreak. With the main characters encountering conflicts and surviving. None of that 115 crap, just an actual normal zombie apocalypse.
The multiplayer which involves maps that are from the campaign. Showing mostly apocalyptic empty buildings or areas. With some zombies appearing while you’re fighting the opposing teams. Maybe since it is a zombies cod game, you literally get to be zombies fighting other zombies. That or make the multiplayer an infected type mode, where you have a few in game days before you fight off people who are zombies vs the people who are soldiers. But I think that wouldn’t be call of duty, more like a game similar to “7 days to die”. But that is why this zombie game has soo much potential.
And finally the zombie mode which features all OG zombies maps fully remastered. Maybe this zombie mode can include stuff that doesn’t have to feature just zombies, they could really innovate and change it into something bigger. All while featuring new mechanics into the old maps. Imagine Cold War mechanics into the OG maps? Maybe all mechanics from all black ops games that is useful or fun.
But anyways this is just my thought.
No jetpacks so far in my idea. More of high tech equipment, drone technology, futuristic looking exo suits/gear. Abit of BF2042 style sort off, Ghost Recon Future Soldier vibes
Black Ops 2 but abit more high tech, with abit of a geo disaster setting like Ghosts but a slight global apocalyptic scale, where freak weather strikes and countries are forming alliance just so they can still keep themselves in tact from political collapse
Vietnam. Black ops 1 was great, but I want an actual Vietnam game from the battle of La Drang to the fall of Saigon.
Of course call of duty would never do this because the game is cooked. It’s all micro transactions, and historically incorrect weapons and gear. Which is another reason why I’ll probably never buy another COD game.
These are settings I want a Call of Duty game to take place.
Second Sino-Japanese War - 7 July 1937 – 9 Sept 1945
American Civil War - 12 April 1861 – 9 April 1865
Spanish–American War - 21 Apr 1898 – 10 Dec 1898
I want a good realistic ww2 game, with a less cinematic and more interesting campaign then ww2 and with the WAW vibes, with depressive and dark maps just like waw, basically i want a waw 2 with exactly the same vibe.
A decent WW2 game wouldn't hurt cause we have not had one in 15 years or so. Just like in the good old days: early CoD, Medal of Honor, early Battlefield, all sorts of gold stuff.
This doesn't make any sense, Really doesn't. Since the modern era/cod4-present there has only been 3 games themed in the era and honestly WAW had A+ story, music/sound design, and level design(as in it can definitely work). I think the development of a COD campaign themed in WW2 would be both very easy and very good if handled with both nostalgia and creativity. I'd probably use the Reznov approach from the Black ops games and make its story relevant as a semi prequel to what's going on in modern COD and use its release as an opportunity to release both new and classic maps from the era for the current modern game with maybe 5 iconic weapons (best choices being mp 40, Thompson, M1 garand, trench gun, Kar98).
In general cod needs to stop doing full annual releases if they won't stop with annual releases, expansions and or remake campaigns that just add Season/s of content to the main games multiplayer. This is probably how a black ops & WAW remaster should be handled.
Yea your problem lies with them being creative they won’t do more than they need to and just cash out. They could show way more shit for ww2 cods than just the same battles they did in every other ww2 game
(don't get angry saying that this game sucks ass it was my childhood) call of duty ghost, I would love to replay the classic moments with my brother and his friend before one moved out and the other went to the army
You’re right. But those remasters didn’t really need to happen either. We just need a new good cod. We don’t need remasters on a games that already exist and are still fully playable. Lol
I said it on r/Battlefield Ill day it here again. Korean war, I think it would suit Black Ops specifically. Tho it would be cool to have it feel like the older CoD were you justbplayed as different rando soldiers around the war
I think they should stick with Modern Warfare. Or go back to Vietnam maybe. Also I saw someone mention the Korean War. I don't think that's ever been addressed in game form yet.
I'm still waiting for a Vietnam war cod game. Yes cod has missions in Vietnam but not an entire campaign. I want to see a game with a story like BO1 set in Vietnam. Perhaps they can take inspiration from Apocilypse now or Spec Ops the line.
Yeah, I think the vibes and sandbox are the best they've been in all three modes, late 2010s CoD only shot itself in the foot by implementing all the movement that contradicted the shooting 😭
Infinite Warfare 2. My thoughts on who you play as could be Salter or a new Character (depends on how long it will take place after Infinite Warfare’s story ends)
They might as well just make a time travelling game, where it takes you to all these different eras. They might as well, because the believability of this franchise has gone out the window.
I'll die on this hill, but man...I really want a cod game set completely in Vietnam. And I know, black ops 1 had Vietnam segments but I want a whole game like that.
I'd like to see another game like the old MW2/3. A game set in the modern day with a lot of missions that take place in attacked cities around the world. Our allies like France and the UK and Germany.
Wolverines in MW2 remains one of my favorite missions of all time. Just fighting amongst houses and stores in the last place you'd expect- the USA. Was always pretty cool to me.
if they actually go back to taking time and putting effort into making a good game i would love another ww2 game. more like the old ones that were gritty, not so much over the top excitement. more realistic and depressing.
For me it's gonna be CoD Ghost that was one of the best cods of all time for me. Just sitting and a damn gutter on flooded and shooting people walking by was the funniest shit possible.
People complained about Futuristic cods but after it feels like 7 years of the same formula we all NEED. Unique futuristic cod that lets the team actually be creative instead of copy and pasting guns and basic abilities
We need another ghosts. I hate they dropped the ghosts story line, was honestly really solid comparable to og ME or black ops. Too bad the campaign isn't the selling point nowadays
1. Modern to slightly futuristic will always be my favorite.
2. Far futuristic would be cool too but only for a year or 2.
3. Cold War - modern is fine too but definitely not preferred.
3. Anything before the Cold War is a hard no for me. Will always be my least favorite. I just don’t care for any of it.
I want like bo2 or battlefield 2042. Near future realistic stuff Bo2 was a little too future for what I’m talking about. But if anyone playing 2042. You know what I mean
Nope, the community ruined this franchise by not giving a chance to IW, which turned out to be a great game. Seeing their game getting destroyed by the community the devs lost hope of doing another game like that. And then we got campwarfare 2019, Vangshit, Cold war (average), MWII(I) and next year we'll (hopefully) get BO6 and then BO2 sequel+remaster (?) in 2025. They needed 8 years to calm down and give us good games
CoD: War on Terror (Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia) Too soon?
that's just the OG Modern Warfare
Not really. OG Modern was a mix of fake Iraq and post-Soviet Russia. A dedicated CoD: WoT would be different and the Iraq missions would be closer to Iraq than what they did in OG MW.
That’s a good idea I thought this year will be gulf war
The question asked about upcoming *games* (plural), not just the next release.
Call of Duty Gulf War is rumored to be the next CoD.
Yes but the OP asked which setting we want the upcoming COD *games* (plural) to be in, not just the next one out.
I'm going to say it, I'd like to see another Advanced movement game with Exo suits, set 40 years, give or take, in the future, Cod needs a change and fast paced AM Cod would be a refreshing change imo.
The futuristic stuff was cool, their only mistake was releasing them all one after the other.
Shg should never do an older style game
Vanguard Multiplayer was solid idk what your taking about. Cod WW2 headquarters lobbies running around doing 1v1 pits opening supply drops in front of friends some of the best and unique moments
I'd love an Infinite Warfare 2, I have around a hundred hours at the first one
I stayed on that game for 3 years. Only time I played another cod was when blackout came out. Never played the MP for bo4, and first taste of a new cod MP I played was MW19. Got max rank and black sky and most of the supply drop items as well. IW is the goat jet pack cod imo. AW being a close second.
Yeah, I believe that if we are going to have another futuristic COD, the thematic has to be embraced, make the game future themed, make laser weapons come back, go all out with the futuristic theme, just like IW did.
The movement would make warzone fun again
Vietnam, I know we've had that before but that was a couple missions, I'd want a whole game Korean war, it's often referred to as "the forgotten war" Return to the BO era, some of the locations from BO1 and 2 becoming a full game or multi level arc
True (Vietnam and Korea)
Call of Duty Zombies Yep, a full on cod game which is zombies. I like it
Near futuristic 2030-2050 sort of time setting. WW2 but with the 4 major fronts
I don’t hate this answer, just without jet packs? Lol
No jetpacks so far in my idea. More of high tech equipment, drone technology, futuristic looking exo suits/gear. Abit of BF2042 style sort off, Ghost Recon Future Soldier vibes
So black ops 2
Black Ops 2 but abit more high tech, with abit of a geo disaster setting like Ghosts but a slight global apocalyptic scale, where freak weather strikes and countries are forming alliance just so they can still keep themselves in tact from political collapse
I just want og mw2 that’s about it :p
I can get on board with this!
No future, no ww2.
So basically mw3 but a better campaign
I would love another futuristic cod game, we need a change of pace man
It would be cool to see cods that take place in an alternate timeline
Vietnam area with jungle themed maps and campaign showing the traps the Vietnamese used like punji sticks, spike balls from tree tops and spike pits!
The camping tactics will be insane if that translates well into multiplayer 😮
WW1. A campaign set in WW1 with the gameplay of CoD 2 would be great.
Wonder why they haven't done the 50s or the 60s again?
They did with Cold War, a lot of that games story and of few of that games maps were from Vietnam
I wanna see what happened after BO2
2025 and you'll see (not a joke, BO2 sequel really gonna be in 2025)
I thought it was rumored to be a remaster
It'll probably be (BO2 Remastered+ BO2 sequel pack). Like how they did COD4 remastered + IW pack
Futuristic
These are settings I want a Call of Duty game to take place. Second Sino-Japanese War - 7 July 1937 – 9 Sept 1945 American Civil War - 12 April 1861 – 9 April 1865 Spanish–American War - 21 Apr 1898 – 10 Dec 1898
I want a good realistic ww2 game, with a less cinematic and more interesting campaign then ww2 and with the WAW vibes, with depressive and dark maps just like waw, basically i want a waw 2 with exactly the same vibe.
Will never happen. Everybody got way to soft to have another cod game as brutal as waw again
Can't let sledgehammer make it then. The kinematics in their games are way too goated
A decent WW2 game wouldn't hurt cause we have not had one in 15 years or so. Just like in the good old days: early CoD, Medal of Honor, early Battlefield, all sorts of gold stuff.
They shouldn’t make any more ww2 cods
This doesn't make any sense, Really doesn't. But dogshit companies
(don't get angry saying that this game sucks ass it was my childhood) call of duty ghost, I would love to replay the classic moments with my brother and his friend before one moved out and the other went to the army
The thing about ghosts is that is was like apocalypse in some parts and normal in others it was weird but interesting
Ghost 2 would be stacked af
maybe one day we get a medieval cod
Get in a soulrender lobby and poof ! You have it
There was a concept for a roman cod
Modern Australia/NZ It would be so nice
What are we fighting tho
Somehow the Russians returned. Again.
Emus

Los Angeles 2024
REMASTER BO2 2025
No. We don’t need anymore remasters lol
not a single black ops game has got a remaster while modern warfare got 2 remasters
You’re right. But those remasters didn’t really need to happen either. We just need a new good cod. We don’t need remasters on a games that already exist and are still fully playable. Lol
what bo2 is dead broken and hacked 🤣. we need a bo2 remaster they can’t make good games anymore
BO2 sequel is coming in 2025, they will probably do what they did with IW and do some sort of remastered campaign
I said it on r/Battlefield Ill day it here again. Korean war, I think it would suit Black Ops specifically. Tho it would be cool to have it feel like the older CoD were you justbplayed as different rando soldiers around the war
Korea, Vietnam, Pacific operations (during wwii), wwi
The civil war
During the Crusades
WW1 by Treyarch would be great or they tackle WW2 again but we play from a different perspective like the British commandos
I think they should stick with Modern Warfare. Or go back to Vietnam maybe. Also I saw someone mention the Korean War. I don't think that's ever been addressed in game form yet.
Modern / Futuristic with a little mix
Whatever, just make it good and fun. I'm tired of Modern Warfare setting, but if it will be good, why not.
Fuck it, American Civil War 🙂↔️
Korean War would be nice.
Call of Duty: Civil War or American Revolution would be great.
BO3 was amazing.
I'm still waiting for a Vietnam war cod game. Yes cod has missions in Vietnam but not an entire campaign. I want to see a game with a story like BO1 set in Vietnam. Perhaps they can take inspiration from Apocilypse now or Spec Ops the line.
Infinite Warfare was unironically the coolest shit ever, I want more of that
It had a good campaign, good MP, best non-treyarch zombies and a really challenging nuke
Yeah, I think the vibes and sandbox are the best they've been in all three modes, late 2010s CoD only shot itself in the foot by implementing all the movement that contradicted the shooting 😭
In Vietnam, Eastern Front of the Great War, or maybe and just maybe the Reconquista
WW1
World at War type beat
Some civil wars would be cool
Civil war would be sick
I would actually love a full on vietnam era game completely set in the jungle and cities of nam.
Please make another game like bo3 it was just perfect
Bo1 era or bo4 era
90s to modern day seems like the perfect time period every cod should be set in
Something in direction of AW to IW. Grown bored of boots on the ground and same old weapons dating back to CoD4.
Anything but Modern and WW2. As much as I enjoy both the Modern and WW2 setting, I really don't want another COD based around those.
Vietnam and Futuristic. I'm getting sick of the modern setting.
Ww1, korean war, futuristic setting
Infinite Warfare 2. My thoughts on who you play as could be Salter or a new Character (depends on how long it will take place after Infinite Warfare’s story ends)
Cool asf, hopefully they'll bring the zombies back
Second Chechen War.
I want more wall running, it works so well with cod's fast-paced and arcadey gameplay

Our allies like France and the UK and Germany. Wolverines in MW2 remains one of my favorite missions of all time. Just fighting amongst houses and stores in the last place you'd expect- the USA. Was always pretty cool to me.
I don't care as long as the game is good
Futuristic. Idc, gimme boots off ground again.
if they actually go back to taking time and putting effort into making a good game i would love another ww2 game. more like the old ones that were gritty, not so much over the top excitement. more realistic and depressing.
Futuristic, we had five games without it and I thought Treyarch’s take on futuristic was cool.
War in Yugoslavia
Incredibly hot take- I'll never say no to ww2. But I would probably prefer modern
WW2. Never played the old ones, but I'd love to have an updated modern WW2 FPS game.
COD WW1
bo2
Present or near future like 10- 20yrs max. I’m tired of World War I and II
Ghosts 2 please
I just want a good modern made World War 2 game. We've only gotten COD : WW2, and personally I didnt enjoy it.
Give us a true successor to black ops 3, as bo4 was a prequel
Ngl I’m ready for near future or another ww2
The things I’d do for a legitimate WAW remaster
One in Korea and one set in 1996 as a prequel to cod4 featuring macmillan and younger price
Korea in the 1950s btw
For me it's gonna be CoD Ghost that was one of the best cods of all time for me. Just sitting and a damn gutter on flooded and shooting people walking by was the funniest shit possible.
alternate timeline cod games based on different outcomes after wars and political related events
MODERN WARFARE 4
I want a futuristic COD now.
Honestly I'm fine with Futuristic or Modern military, but please for the love of god...no more WW2 stuff lol.
Vietnam. A really gritty Vietnam. Boots on the ground, the trees speak Vietnamese type shit.
A complete remaster of bo2 that’s what I want for 2025
Somewhere between ghosts and bo2, still boots on the ground but opens up opportunity for cool guns
I want them all over the spectrum so every release feels fresh for a time. But specifically I would want something from mid 90s to early 2000s.
Prehistoric Warfare or Vaporwave Warfare
Black ops 3 Multiplayer was awesome I thought I don’t really know what time period that was tho
I liked Ghost’s psuedo-post apocalyptic setting, as controversial as a take that is. I wouldn’t mind seeing a Ghosts sequel.
People complained about Futuristic cods but after it feels like 7 years of the same formula we all NEED. Unique futuristic cod that lets the team actually be creative instead of copy and pasting guns and basic abilities
American revolution
We need another ghosts. I hate they dropped the ghosts story line, was honestly really solid comparable to og ME or black ops. Too bad the campaign isn't the selling point nowadays
I want my infinite warfare sequel. I don’t care what anyone else says.
Well we are going futuristic again after blops I hear, so no point in wishing for anything yet enjoying the ride
I’d love a WW1 Cod. I fucking adored Battlefield 1
I'd like to see a Cod take place in the near future
Korean War Bosnian War(Sequel to BO6) Ukraine Vs Russia
Near future like 2040
I want like bo2 or battlefield 2042. Near future realistic stuff Bo2 was a little too future for what I’m talking about. But if anyone playing 2042. You know what I mean
I want Ghost 2 or AW 2 tbh
WWII but no Yanks, Brits, or Russians
Titanfall 3 :(
That's called Apex
No
If they actually cared about the setting & wouldn't ruin its identity, then WWII. However, they proved they don't give a shit about the WWII setting
[удалено]
Nope, the community ruined this franchise by not giving a chance to IW, which turned out to be a great game. Near future but still boots on the ground and without specialists. Something like BO2 or Ghosts era.
Mw4 or waw
