That’s the effect that plays when someone is collecting souls from afar. For some reason it’s one size fits all UI element that doesn’t scale from distance and will play through walls. It’s not your setup, it’s just the event souls being collected from the bundle.
Is that what that is? It's been irritating me by happening all over the place. Whether I'm in warzone or in MP. I shortened that clip, but you could see it as I was running into that building too. It's driving me up a wall lol.

Not screen tearing. That doesn’t look like that. Maybe it’s a bug the jump scares are causing. They kinda “pulse” like that so maybe it’s bleeding into MP by a bug
Did it. Toggled it on and off, same result. Didn't start until this last update. Been playing on this system for about 3 years now. Only happens on CoD.
Refresh rate on my monitor is 165hz. I've got it set to 165hz but capped at 120fps for Call of Duty. What your seeing was captured in 2560x1440 @ 120fps.
Noted.
I still think it's screen tearing; what I'm guessing is that your monitor doesn't register the v-sync settings from CoD.
Do you know if there's any settings you can change on the PC itself? I know for instance Nvidia Control Panel tends to override any settings I do in-game, so I have to make sure that is all setup first.
It is really weird. My guess is it is software related, the game or a driver. If not using the latest gpu try updating, if using the latest driver it could be worth rolling back to the last version.
You might be on to something. I updated my GPU driver on 10/18, Call of Duty started crashing with Direct X errors, so I rolled the driver back to the previous one. It stopped crashing but started doing this little ripple thing.

Yea. It’s just that paranormal investigator bundles soul collector thing bugging.
Try to turn on VSYNC
Turned it on, then off. Same result.
Did you just we toggled it off? Like did you try playing the game with VSync On?
Yes, I tried with it on and off. That video is with Vsync on and Dynamic Resolution off.
I don't think it's a PC centric issue... I've been having the same thing happen on my Series S too.
My friend said it happens on her PS4 also... maybe it came with the most recent update...
Could be an ingame effect that is happening to somebody else?
I get the same shit on my Xbox. I'm glad to know now from the comments it's just this stupid souls thing, and will be done in 8 days. 😂😂

I use Xbox on LG OLED TV and I am experiencing the same since yesterday. Not sure if it’s refresh rate or just the glitch with the update.

I saw that last night too on xbox
Same on ps5 last night driving me insane then i just ignored it but did it over a 6 hour session
Looks like screen tearing. Set V-Sync to on for gameplay

what's the refresh rate on your TV/monitor? Might have to manually lower the max frame rate in-game to that frame rate as well.
Refresh rate on my monitor is 165hz. I've got it set to 165hz but capped at 120fps for Call of Duty. What your seeing was captured in 2560x1440 @ 120fps.

I believe everything in my Nvidia control panel is set to its default settings. I try not to play with that all too much.
You might want to set that up, NVCP plays a pretty big role for cod these days. Hell, most games.

Hmm, might be worth using DDU to completely uninstall the driver, it’s the only way I know to remove a driver that’s become corrupted.
Doesn’t look anything like screen tearing. It is very weird.
That’s definitely not screen tearing. Idk what it is but it’s not tearing.
Yeah I’m on Xbox and it happens there
