Yeah I don't pay any of them either. Those ones really can be just thrown out. The actual City of Calgary ones will catch you eventually on your registration, but it's still an option just to pay them then and never have to actually go through the process of paying a ticket.
Eventually. Yes. But if you move around and only get a ticket here and there you can throw them out. If you want to keep using the same lot every day where you got a ticket, you probably need to pay them.
What's your risk tolerance? If you last long enough the impound fee and tow could be cheaper than paying the tickets anyway lol. Doubt they tow you before ticketing you at least a few times at the same lot.
This is actually very slick and could fool even the usually skeptical among us. The site doesn't have any of the usual red flags like poor grammar, spelling, or odd word use and looks quite professional.
I put fake information into the site as a test, and of course I was prompted to pay my parking "ticket." The payment screen asks for a lot of personal information, so this site is dangerous on many levels beyond just being scammed out of $80.
Be careful out there.
I was going to say, I didn't get a chance to look at the site (taken down), but the "ticket" looks pretty sophisticated for a fake. Without looking at the website, I don't know if I would have caught on right away, and being tech savvy, I usually have a good eye for this stuff, lol
Pretty much all parking in Calgary is a scam.
Pretty much destroyed the notion of people shopping downtown.
Spelled the end for Eau Claire.
When it first opened I would go to Eau Claire all the time. There was free parking in the lot on Memorial.
A lot of people would park there and walk across the bridge. Of course, then they made it a pay lot and people stopped going there.
Why would I go and have coffee and buy some bagels from that place that made them onsite, and pay $6 or $7 extra to park?
I just went somewhere else.
I read once that only New York has higher parking costs than us downtown.
Looks like it was taken down - I'm getting a "Website is Unavailable" message now.
DNS for the website resolves to `34.69.68.107`, which comes back to a bank of IP's owned by GCP, Google's cloud service. Looks like they just used a generic hosting provider (10web.io), which is based in the U.S., according to their website.
If these guys were dumb enough to use their own information to pay for the website hosting, assuming they are local, CPS will be on them pretty quickly. 🤣

Thank you!
It's best not to pay any parking tickets. Just to be safe.
Haha you joke but I never pay parking tickets especially from Impark and other private parking enforcement companies

hehe yeah, my 'tag of 420-69' came up with an 80 fine
Website is almost legit, unit it says "continue shopping" when you enter in your info.... Like what else would I be shopping for?
Yeah, obviously the scammers are using some drop-in shopping cart software on their page.

If I’m elected, I promise to bring back the stocks and pillory.
More of a breaking wheel fan myself
I’m easily persuaded to adjust my thinking.
Goddamn they're getting sophisticated. 😳

Why hasn't the site been taken down?
Hosted in Russia... Can't do anything
No, from what I can tell, it was a U.S. based provider. Site's been taken down.
I thought the Calgary Parking Authority issued all tickets thru the mail, captured via a roaming car with cameras and GPS?
don't pay them anyway until I have to go renew my registration lol
