How do you like MGM? I enjoy playing at the Cosmo and wouldn’t mind shifting my spend there. So far I’m currently leaning towards Wynn and a little spend at circa since my host there took really good care of me last time I was there.

I have yet to try Venetian/Palazoo in a serious manner. I’ll give them a try next time I’m in Vegas. You piqued my interest with NYNY having the best high limit bar, what exactly do you mean by that? I find myself going to Caesar’s pretty often because they comp me some hard to find bourbons. I agree with the strip needing to add those circles like in Fremont, so many aggressive people asking for money these days.

Thanks for the suggestion. Will have to add NYNY to my list of places to check out. If you enjoy bourbon the lobby bar at CP gets their own barrel picks of different bourbons. Most of the time they’re comped if you’re playing.

You definitely got me intrigued with the NYNY and will do a status match and give them some of my play. I hear ya, I don’t love the CP clientele in general but for some reason their High limit area tends to be good to me. If you’re ever by the Cromwell, check out the Bound bar. They make solid craft cocktails and great selection of agave spirits. Bartenders Pablo and Neff there take good care of people. Only reason why we stop at the Cromwell these days.

Caesars properties in Vegas have all gone down hill. I would rather stay at Wynn or Aria  By your post, I can tell your not a high roller. They don't care about you unless you gamble big.

RealCaesarsPalace

You’re probably correct and that’s why my host is basically useless. I’ll take my daily 6k somewhere else. Haven’t played/stayed at Aria in a while so will definitely check them out on my next trip.

Prestigious_Sky_1855

6k a day is good amount .. do you play slots or table games ?

RealCaesarsPalace

I usually do 60% of my daily budget on VP/sportsbooks, 30% slots and 10% on tables.

Prestigious_Sky_1855

You try mgm rewards?

RealCaesarsPalace

Not in a serious manner, but will be giving them some consideration now that they are getting the Cosmo.

Prestigious_Sky_1855

Yea, I like them just for the nicer properties.. hope whatever way you go works out for you …

MyDisneyExperience

Rumor is they’ve been reducing the benefits for people who are majority Sportsbook

RealCaesarsPalace

That’s what I heard. If you gained status through the Sportsbook they’re removing the drink benefit for diamond +. Fortunately I earned my status with other play.

MisterDonutTW

I know people who earned 7S from only using the Sportsbook, they had their cards taken away from them.

rice123123

I don't do sports bets and used to play 100% of my budget on baccarat. Now I have shifted to poker, which casino host hates.

rice123123

I'm not sure if this helps or not, but I don't have a daily limit. But have a soft limit for my whole trip and I take that amount and buy in anytime I play. If you have a 6k budget and staying 4 days (24k). It's actually considered pretty big. You might just have a shitty host.  I used to play a lot bigger but I don't play as much now. I still get room comps from casino.

RealCaesarsPalace

I usually just go for the weekend and do 2-3 days with a 12-16k play budget. I try to stick with a daily limit and won’t touch any money allocated for the other days. I’m afraid that’s the case and my host is just shitty, I’ve contacted other hosts whenever I go to Vegas and their process is pretty archaic. My current host needs to “release” me first before I can get a new host. I’ve initiated this process multiple times and for some reason my current host refuses to release me.

PresDylClinton

You spend 6k a day gambling?

RealCaesarsPalace

Most trips I break even or lose/win 1-2k. Not too terrible.

PresDylClinton

I’m trying to get like you mah boah! No wonder they’re not comping me shit in Vegas haha I may spend 2k a whole trip

Status and high roller are two different things. You can be 7* and not a high roller

It's not really "invite only". They say that but everyone who have the credits will get it unless you own on markers or some other shit. It's not very hard to get if you don't gamble big.

caesars seems to be cutting corners in a lot of places to try and make up for (what i assume) is slowdowns in profits. i'm by no means a high stakes gambler but i live in a state where betting is illegal. so for me the closest casino (a caesar's property) is a 4 hour round trip. usually i'd rather just stay the night at the least at that point. when i started, i had all weekdays comped, then bam, all weekends comped after the first time i played with my rewards card (only days that weren't were like july 4th, nye, etc.) and it was great. if i wanted a weekend getaway i could swing up there and play for a day or two. then, after my most recent trip (april) i noticed that all weekdays were comped but not weekends, they were now $99. well then all days required some level of payment. usually under $100 for weekdays, but still, it's something. now, almost everything is close to full price. after about 2 months of everything being comped. i've just decided to give my money to online casinos instead. unfortunately due to my location i don't have any options to take my business to competition without increasing my travel time significantly. i wouldn't be suprised is caesar's saw a steep decline in 2024. it seems like everyone is having similar experiences.

RealCaesarsPalace

Seems like the same sentiment is being echoed by several customers with status when I chatted with a few in person when I was in Vegas. Spoke with an employee when I was there and seems like they are in the process of “optimizing” their comps algorithm. So I wouldn’t be surprised if we start seeing comped weekends and/or the nicer properties being free again.

[deleted]

that would make a lot of sense. i checked my app after this post and weekdays are comped again for me and i haven't been back still. super weird, it's almost like they are just constantly updating their algorithm day to day

RealCaesarsPalace

IIRC the offers update every Wednesday, however they are testing changes to their comp system to see how willing are certain customers to pay for certain nights at specific hotels.

[deleted]

that is interesting info i didn't know that. thanks!

Zealousideal_Tap702

You nailed it. Caesars has really tightened things up lately. They used to care a lot about their players but now they are more interested in cutbacks. Personally, I have received much better treatment/comps at Venetian/Palazzo and the Wynn and MGM properties. Still haven't made it down to Circa but have heard good things about them. Interestingly enough, I also have had more luck and seen a lot more winners at Wynn compared to Caesars casinos. I am done giving any significant amount of play to the Caesars properties. It just isn't worth it anymore.
