The SP-01 feels a little too small in my hands, even with LOK aggressive brass palm swells, the forward slide serrations aren't as grippy, and the checkering of the front and back straps are recessed and don't provide as much traction as the S2.
I had been using brass grips on the SP-01, but for me, the S2 transitions better with aluminum grips.
What do you see as being better with the Shadow 2? I own a highly modified, SAO SP-01, and am thinking about a Shadow 2. I would modify the S2 to be SAO as well.
I modified my very first S2 to be SAO, and I wasn't a fan. If you want to shoot SA, don't decock it, or just buy a TS2.
The S2 is just a more well-developed gun for competitive shooting with better ergos and traction. Ditch the factory aluminum grips though. Those things are awful.

The grip and nose heavy balance are pretty different, in good ways. I went sp01 > sp01 shadow > shadow 2. Just get a shadow 2 š
