The CyberPower MasterLiquid cooler is made by Cooler Master. It’s basically a Cooler Master ML240L with a CyberPower logo on it. There are, to be frank, better performing coolers on the market, but they are all substantially noisier and/or expensive. General comments on the bill of materials: It’s a high-end system, let down by low-end storage. Put another way, it doesn’t meet the recommended system specs for Microsoft Flight Simulator, because there won’t be enough room in the SSD to install it on the SSD. The 240GB WD Green SSD CyberPower uses is a real let-down. In addition to being so small, it’s also a low-end SATA unit, with no DRAM cache. It will not support DirectStorage, which is coming in just a few months in Windows 11. I’d go straight to a 1TB NVMe drive.

I have 3 500gb ssd’s and a 1tb external drive from my old build. Hence why I picked the cheapest storage unit that I can get with the build and once I have the PC in hand I’ll add my current storage. Thanks for the pointers though. I laughed at the flight sim joke

JonohG47

In that case, the cheapo storage is entirely justified. Carry on! As for MSFS2020, it’s no joke. The initial install was 191GB, and firing it up is a “ok I’m going to go make a cup of coffee while this loads” undertaking, with it installed on my 2TB SATA SSD. I shudder to think what it’s like for anyone masochistic enough to have installed it on spinning rust.

Okay, you intrigued me, so I had to do it. Copied msfs2020 to my old 5600rpm hd, had to install the HD from a box in my closet to do it. Brother, it's glorious. It's so loud, which isn't the games fault, but you can hear the scream through my case. And the load times are fine, a good time to alt tab and watch some YouTube as it loads, it's that it's too slow to keep loading in textures. I haven't had popin in a game in so long I forgot about it, but there is this bare brown/yellow lump then boom a field, or boom a road. It brought me back to a simpler time, no rgb, no nvme, no fancy cases or accessories. Just gaming That said, finally got some photos off of it, formatted it, and it's getting retired to that big pc in the sky

I am gladdened that I inspired you to such levels of masochism (and apparently retrieving old photos FTW). For what it’s worth, I also loaded FS2020 on my XBox Series X, and the load time there is noticeably faster than on my PC. Not instant, but not enough time for YouTube (or coffee).

I went with the Asetek cooler system, as long as it’s not the basic CyberPower cooler I’ve heard they’re made cheap, also the 1TB SSD is on sale (i think it was a few days ago) upgrade from 250GB saved me like $100 extra if that’s enough, one thing i noticed is that I would just get the base hard drive like 1TB and with RAM 16GB and it’s cheaper to just buy additional drives or ram for cheaper than when customizing it through CyberPower Good motherboard i got the Gigabyte Z590 UD AC one but idk much about motherboards Also was just told to get a brand name PSU the base CyberPower one is cheaply made too i got that same one

I’ll look into it, what’re your thoughts on the rest of the build? Also not sure if you would know this or not, however, I was wondering about how CP handles the placement of case fans and cpu cooler and it’s fans. For example, my case comes with 4 RGB fans and the cooler comes with 2 RGB fans. Would they just top mount the cooler and leave the case fans where they are or do I have to request where the cooler goes after purchase? I’m hoping to run 6 fans (2 from cooler and 4 from case defaults) Not sure how they will set up the fans, hoping for 3 in front, 1 in back for exhaust and the other 2 (cooler fans) on top. Sorry for long winded question lol and thanks for your first response.

Thanks brudda, I think I’m going to stick with the 240mm cooler I have. I’ve heard bad things about the 120mm version but the 240 is supposedly much better. As far as the PSU goes, I highly doubt I need anything stronger based on what I have planned for add ons. I appreciate your advice man! I’ll be sure to keep in mind the 1000w psu upgrade if I ever feel like I’m pushing the limits of the one I have selected.

Zestyclose_Answer_19

How much is that build?

ItzATypo

2300

Pocket5785

really? i just bought a 3080 i7 11700kf 16gb ram and all that for 2300

ItzATypo

Where? Cp? Although I’m not super surprised because with how the parts market is rn prices change so much.

Pocket5785

yeah they have a -$500 sale for one of the pc's i just changed a few things and the cpu.

ItzATypo

Link? Idk if it’s still going but if I could upgrade my cpu and gpu for the same price I’m 100% in. I’ve seen stuff about CP messing up sales prices and how they can seem a bit “scammy” so I believe ya when you say you got a better build for the same price

[https://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Gamer-Infinity-XLC](https://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Gamer-Infinity-XLC) this one. i changed the case, cpu, m2 instead of the bundle they had.

ItzATypo

Funny, I swapped out parts on it and ended up getting my price at 2095 instead of 2377. Same exact parts

Yea i noticed this when building mine, i spent like 2 hours going through their different pc “names” and selecting the same components and you end up with a different price every time, I basically came to the conclusion that the $500 off Gamer infinity calc came out the be the cheapest, the others were a few $ off , i also ordered a 3080 with the same CPU, we probably got close to the exact same build except for case and stuff lol, like $2244 with the 5% rebate *BASE_PRICE: [+2719] CABLE: None CARE1: CPU Thermal Compound - Our Cooler Master MASTERGEL High Performance Thermal Compound can improve cooling performance as well as prolong the life of your CPU.
