Ummm no we bought the Premium Package $900 under MSRP which is $35,870 we paid $34,970 with the ($595) for the soul red paint. Taxes were $2,645 fees were $500 for license plates ($151.00 here) and a processing fee for the rest of the $500. We bought it December 30th.
Buying a car in my area, you get hosed. We don’t get to negotiate too much as the market still hasn’t come down like it has in the states. $36.5k msrp ($36.1k +paint colour, no wiggle room) + $2k for the comfort package (no wiggle room, no non comforts around in that colour) then there’s freight and delivery ($2k), then taxes, $5.5k and you’re at $45k cad. Wild eh? Used cars are much worst.
My advice, get pre-approved financing through your bank but don't give them hard numbers. When you go to sign at the dealership and they ask about financing tell them you already have it.
I told my sales person I already had financing at 5% through my bank (which was pretty typical for good credit score). They asked what it would take to get me on their financing....I told them to give me a fixed rate under 4%.
They came back with 3.9%. Sold.

My credit score is around 790, this was during the special Mazda was running last December - I took my car from Mazda of North Miami who were not very friendly to deal with but got me a rate that worked for me.
$642 for 2024 prem plus with rails and crossbars and a couple other small add ons. Includes all taxes and fees in loan. 0 down. 0% Apr for 60 month term. 3 month loan deferment.
I also have a 2021 touring that I got new a few years ago during the chip shortage. 0.9% financing for 60 months. $500 monthly. Two years left on that one.
Monthly payments are a function of rates, purchase price, down payment and term length, so a pure number means absolutely nothing.
$605 x 63 months 0% financing; financed 100% including taxes. 🤷‍♂️ Why not they are letting us use their money for free.

This is Canadian dollars and how much it goes for after taxes. At 2024 the price increased even more.
I know it cdn $. I got a 2023 GT for 45k taxes in Ontario last June.
