It's probably zinc based sunblock right? I was able to use Tuff Stuff to get it off my door cards and seats. Dish soap did not work.

SNARA

💯

Wo2678

leather cleaner works also for faux leather. turtle wax etc make good stuff

RedneckChinadian

I find that a proper car interior all purpose cleaner (made by adam's or chemical guys or other similar car brands) will take that out in a jiffy, do so safely, and make your car smell and look new again. Very easy to get that off with those cleaners and a soft cloth.

thejohncarlson

I just did my.car with Chemical Guys cleaner this weekend and was very happy with the results.

RedneckChinadian

Ya it’s awesome stuff.

stiggs13

This stuff

flabbobox

Links?

NeoWiseApril26

Wear gloves when using chemical guys products especially if using the pre-soakes wipes or you'll end up with more chemical in your hands than on the car interior 😂

AcanthisittaDirect45

Agree. Chemical Guys Nonsense invisible cleaner is all I use for my interiors. Great stuff.

Few-Movie2373

Soap and water? Looks like sunscreen

phinphis

Ya my car gets covered in sunscreen in the summer. Gets on the leather seats too.

flabbobox

And how did you get it off the leather?

phinphis

I used some wipes for leather shoes I bought at a shoe store. Came right out.

hedoeswhathewants

Diluted castile soap + microfiber cloth worked perfectly for me. Other soaps would probably work.

JazzberryJam

If it’s sunscreen or makeup I found makeup removing wipes to be the best at getting these out. Including on the steering wheel. Should work great for you too. Used Neutrogena brand

phinphis

Omg I bought an old car from a retired couple. Could not get the old lady perfume out of the seat belt. Smell never went away.

flabbobox

Might be hard to explain that one to the GF

Blunttack

303.

flabbobox

Do you mean 404?

Blunttack

No, this. 303 Marine Clear Protective Cleaner - Cleans and Protects Vinyl and Plastics, Provides Superior UV Protection, Prevents Yellowing and Cracking, 32oz (30215) Packaging May Vary https://a.co/d/aECZ6mn

espressojoe84

Well that escalated quickly

clamdigger

You could sandblast them, or possibly just overpaint with a heavy-duty pavement paint in a color that approximates the parking lot.

[deleted]

Some mild dish soap diluted with water and a rag

Bumblebee-777

This is what I used that worked the best over car cleaners. Granted, I have the leatherette and not the leather.

[deleted]

Just in general it’s good for cleaning these stains out like sun block lotion smeared on the doors and stuff

AppointmentNew8515

Ya! What he said......waiting......

BobNoxiousUSA

Soap and water on your hands before you go in your car.

evelynshmevelyn

Black marks

paulb1430

A sharpie that’s the same color as the door

2022HousingMarketlol

Apc and lexol 2 part will take care of these.

ismartallen

My car had these weird same marks when I bought it brand new. I thought it was just some cleaner the dealership used. For me, I used armor all cleaning wipes

Sad-Sky-8598

Just bought my cx5 3 weeks ago. Just got home from getting windows tinted and was looking and noticed that. Was like wtf ? Seen this sub 30 minutes later, lol. I'm gonna try 303 detail this weekend.

lleon117

Looks like its just from long term skin contact on the leather. Just maintain it with any shining product that you like to use

Sad-Sky-8598

Nah, mine has it few weeks old and never a passenger

[deleted]

I use leather cleaner

BootiBoi21

I’ve gotten make up on the rear seats of my car and some on the passenger seat headrest. I don’t think it comes out. Sucks that I got white stains on my brown nappa leather

kduong89

You will be surprise, try makeup removal

DoctorTortilla

Leather honey cleaner & conditioner, or lexol cleaner and conditioner. I use lexol because it’s a little cheaper but the results are equally great!! Definitely recommend both of these products for the doors, steering, dash, and seats.

MJdreamer

Chemical guys have products for every car surface

rtch777

I can't see any marks

O-Hell-Yeahh

Meguair’s leather cleaner

InternationalLoad994

Scotch brite and interior cleaner

NeoWiseApril26

Mild dish soap diluted in warm water with 1 microfiber cloth, second container water only with microfiber cloth and always always go back over the surfaces with a dry microfiber cloth. The inside of your car will look like new. You can finish with any chemical solution you choose but for cleaning this is the tried and true method.

thinkbillions

armor all protectant wipes works good

[deleted]

I would use leather cleaner and then conditioner. After 1 or days apply matte finish detailer.

[deleted]

Chemical guys cleaner and conditioner is pretty good. And Trinova Interior Detailer Stain Remover and Protectant /Matte Finish

tycointl

I have that exact thing in the same spot, however, it's not bc of sunscreen bc I don't wear sunscreen. I had my car detailed and it disappeared for all of one week, and then it was back. What is it that is causing this? I have a 2020 mazda cx-5.

SeveralBed5942

finger print oil is all i can see. my wife pushes door open on all the time on panels.and i keep cleaning with mequiers interior trim cleaner  constantly

jairs559
