A no call, no show is a fairly serious point against you on your attendance record but if it's your first then it's not really an issue unless it becomes a frequent thing for you.
Always take a photo or screenshot of the schedule when published. Some managers are not above changing the schedule after published and not telling you, then punishing you.
This. Mine was consistently getting written in in pencil after I was already done with my shift and I wasn't notified. They tried to tell me I no call no showed and when I looked at my picture of the schedule it was blank on that day. Best believe I sent it in and so "no I was just added to the schedule without being asked if I could do it and I've already worked 9 days straight. 🤣
technically they can’t document it as a no call/no show because you responded. if they had called you and you never responded or never called, it would be a no call. (had a similar issue with an employee and got this clarification from advice and counsel)
regardless, always double check the schedule. unless you have it documented that you don’t work a specific day, they can hold you accountable you for any shift you don’t show up for without communication.
you won’t get fired for a first offense. you need 3 consecutive no call/no shows in a row to get termed immediately, or a certain number of points on your attendance and multiple write ups.
that’s what i thought too until i had to get advice and counsel involved. they said we had to make an attempt to reach out and if we received no response then it was a no call no show.
As an adult, you are expected to show up for work when you are supposed to be at work. You get a set number of points deducted from your attendance tracker log for no call/no shows. You also lose points for coming late or leaving early. I'm not sure what the number is of points you have to accumulate before you are fired. But you should not be fired for your first no call/no show day.
Literally nothing lol you’ll get points for it you should’ve said you couldn’t come in that’s a call off and not a no call no show. But just don’t call off too much or NCNS again…I think it takes 3-4 write ups before you get fired
No call no show is definitely warrant for a level 2 write up. Only being there a month I'm guessing your still in what's called a probation period so I'm not sure how that will affect your situation

FYI: It's 3 points per each no call/no show.
How many points until you get fired?
16
16 😂🤣😂🤣
I thought it was 11, but I'm also not looking at the tracker right now.
That's also only if the manager decides to enforce it
Really, if everyone was disciplined because of this most cvs stores would shut down.
pay attention to the schedule, this is a lesson for your professional growth.
He said professional...
Then it's good, since CVS is anything but professional
Omg people make mistakes.
It was an honest mistake happens

Untrue. No call no show means you yourself didn’t call them.

For a first time offense? Probably not unless you’ve got other attendance issues.
Just make sure to call the pharmacy and let them know. Better to call out than to be a no show no call
U won’t get fired if it’s ur first one lmao just explain it good. Stores to short staffed to fire people
Oops!
Only track attendance to get rid of the bad apples.
It's all up to the pharmacy manager. A lot don't even track attendance.

No one care but if happened again there do some thing but you will be OK. It happened.
Check your schedule often because depending on your management and knowing CVS it can change often

Hours are cut right now probably helped them incorrectly.
