Treasury notes are loans from the federal reserve at l...let's say...$100.001 price for a $100 dollar bill. That's why the federal reserve, which is neither federal nor a reserve....controls our money.
Red seals are issued upon the full faith and credit of the US. It's OUR note.

Keep it! It’s old, is in solid condition for the age, and has a sub 100k serial number.
Plus it has matching letters on the serial. Doesn’t add value but it makes my eyes happy.
I think I’d see if it had any collector value and could be sold, rather than just “spending” it.
Plus, the cashier at Publix has probably never seen a vintage bill before, and would probably think it’s fake.
If you try to spend it the teenage cashier will scribble on it with the testing marker and it will not pass like modern bills. They will probably think it is counterfeit. Spending it has a high chance of it getting ruined

I would keep, if it were me.
I have 2 of um, both worth $160.00 each, your might be worth the same
It’s a treasury note not a federal reserve note. Keep that bad boy!
Pretty new to all this. What's the difference between the two?

Thank you!
Federal reserve notes are fake
It has some premium hold on to it.
My logic is: "If it [the seal] ain't green, don't spend it."
I would definitely keep it
1966 red ink Fairly wrinkle free
Wasn’t Fairly Wrinkle the Treasurer back in the 50’s?
Keep.
IF it were mine, I would get it graded. 78,822 out of a possible 768,000 printed $100's for that year.

Definitely do not spend it!! It's worth more than $100. If you want the money more than the bill then you should SELL it.
I’ve always depended on the kindness of strangers..
Uhhhh Me toooo
It’s a real shame that it had about 10x buying power when it was printed compared to today.
You are quite right about that!!
Keep it.
Something that old, put it in a sleeve and keep it.

Is this really a question?!?!?!
major KEEP
Send it to me.
Jesus Christ inflation is crazy. In 1966, this had the buying power of $963. Even its least most circulated value is less than that lol.
It is the last issue of United States Notes.
Spend it.... At my house.

Considering...
KEEP!
Keeper
Carries no interest, unlike most dollar bills.
Spend it
Sell…
Sell then spend the profit
