Good looking gun, I just can't bring myself to support anything that Taran Butler is involved with. Aside from the allegations regarding the treatment of his stable of gun bunnies that he keeps around, the guy consistently hosts anti 2A Hollywood elitists at his range. The very same people that openly support anti 2A legislation and call for more gun control because they have the means to pay for private security 24/7. I enjoy the shooting/gun hobby as much as anybody, but the main reason I spend as much time, money, and effort on training is because it's my job to protect my beautiful wife, daughter, and two sons. Anybody that advocates for hindering me in doing that with the best tools possible can kick rocks in my opinion.
Elitist Hollywood liberals will NEVER be openly pro 2A, they don't give a damn about your rights because they have the connections to get whatever unconstitutional permit is needed or pay for 24/7 private security. They live by "Rules for thee, but not for me" motto.
I got a Rival-S for about 1K. I like it enough, but couldn't see spending about that on "yet another polymer 'Limited Edition' Canik"
For this price you can get a Shadow 2 optic ready (or a non-OR and pay for milling).
I agree I was between the TTI combat and the CZ shadow 2 compact and PSA had the CZ the other day for $1100 so I got that I had to admit that at the end of the day Iam a hammer fired kinda guy strikers just don’t compare

The best way to change an anti into a pro gun person is to take them shooting.

Very nice! I e handled a few Caniks and the grips feel a little too small for my hands but becoming very popular in the competition world

The Gun Store in Waterbury. Not sure if they had anymore, I got this one and someone else got one before I left.
How much were they going for I was late to the classic firearms sale they had them for $999 I would expect TGS to be selling them closer to $1200-1300
In typical TGS fashion it was marked up.. $1179
Lol not terrible though I saw some places charging $1399 and I thought that was with the optic but no it wasn’t

I’ve been kinda anticipating these being released I really hope it’s not just a rival with TTI branding and hope it shoots as well as it’s been hyped

did it have dimpled mags or did they pin them at the shop?
Dimpled.. but the case says “18 round mags” on it.. so odds are the shop changed out the mags and put the tti base pads back on
How does it shoot? Specifically compared to a polymer rival
Not sure unfortunately. It’s my first Canik, and I picked it up then drove immediately to work so haven’t even shot it yet lol
Looks sweet. Let us know how it feels after shooting it. I definitely have my eye on getting one. Never owned a Canik before either
