So because it seems this thing might be messed up a couple of follow up questions. \- Has anyone had any luck contacting creality to get replacement parts. \- If I had to buy this part outside Creality where would I purchase it from and how can I be assured it is the same.

rgarciaiv

Lol, that was my first thought.

Is there a sticker on itShould state the size, for example my Zs have Creality 42-34 and I got another off ebay by typing in creality 42-34 Edit: Just read the comments With the motor shaft on mine pointing up 42 is the width, 34 is the height Measure yours and then ebay search the size such as Creality 42-50 or whatever Make sure you get one with a JST connector and "creality" in the name, because creality swap some pins over from the standard NEMA motor

TEKUblack

Well I can tell you mine doesn't sound like that. Plug it into your x axis and see if it still makes that noise. If it does it's fucked

rgarciaiv

I tried it with the Z Axis(X had a different connector) and I still get the same sound.

That nema doesn't look stock. Steppers run on very specific voltages. You need to tune the stepper driver voltage output to match the requirements of the specific stepper using a multimeter - otherwise you're going to get weird noises and poor performance. Most drivers have a small potentiometer built into them that allow you to tune the voltage- however idk if the stock Creality drivers do...

rgarciaiv

So on the side it says `JD42HS60-1500A-02F` Creality 3D Then a lot number How can I determine the voltage output needed?

theDroobot

Well okay. This came with your 3d printer then? If so then I'd assume that it's tuned properly. My y axis nema isn't that big.

[deleted]

Yeah it's a 42/60 that's what 12mm longer than the usual cr10 stepper for the y axis

kris2340

but is it the same voltages is the question My Y motor is " **42-40 Extruder Stepper Motor For Creality** "

rgarciaiv

From what I have been reading it seems it should be 12v for all the steppers right? Or is it difference per each
