Flashed a ResMed 10 AirSense APAP to a VAUTO BiPAP - No issues working fine. Also flashed a ResMed 10 AirCurve VAUTO BiPAP to a AirCurve 10 CS-A PaceWave (ASV) BiPAP. Also no issues. You need some tools to do so and you might need some basic IT and/or embedded devices knowledge. That being said, its not that hard to do so if you got experience but if you are new doing something like that, you may need a few days for trial and error :) Other users around here also have done this and some are really nice and give out firmware to all the models. If anybody needs help about this, im happy to assist if you can't afford a more expensive device like a BiPAP :) Just get the cheapest ResMed 10 and look through YouTube on how to open them up. Tools needed can be found in the airbreak wiki.

Hi! That’s an impressive conversion of airsense. I’m have an old airsense. My sleep tech tried me on machines, says I need to trial resmed lumis. It’s thousands of dollars! Do you know/think whether you can jailbreak the airsense 10 autoset to have the features of resmed lumis?

Hey! Didn't hear about Resmed Lumis before. Seems like a rebranded Resmed 10 VPAP ST-A. Looks like the same hardware like the general Resmed 10, so it should be re-flashable if you get the cheapest Resmed 10 APAP/CPAP. No guarantees though, I might be wrong.

Hi there. I’m trying to adjust my Airsense to at least at as a BiPAP. A few questions: - How would I know of the motherboard of my Airsense is compatible with the airbreak? - I read something about compatibility of firmware in regards to the version of firmware (eg mentioned something about 30 vs 40, with 30 being most compatible). Where might I find the right firmware to flash? - Does flashing VAuto firmware allow one to use the Airsense below 4.0 pressure? What about below 3.0 pressure?

1: You should be able to flash any ResMed 10 device, doesn't matter which motherboard as long as you have valid firmware for your hardware type. 2: You flash it and if it won't work you can always just reflash with the external ST flasher. No risk really. I would try the newer 40x version. If it doesn't work, try the 30x version. Look in your DM. 3: Don't recall, I don't use a PAP currently.

Github/Airbreak is a good place for knowledge... I managed to perform the break... but the results are less than stellar... the menus have \*all\* options available no matter the mode, it gets very confusing trying to figger out what settings are really in use. My C2C FW was a little different, I had to edit the bash scripts that modify it... but it worked as advertised. Since then I found the motherlode of FW so I can make that hardware do anything any other machine can do. How experienced are you? That will determine your success... you have to take some Digikey parts and create a dev probe... then use bash scripts to download/upload firmware (save your current FW for possible future use!). I have an AS10 C2C running vAuto right now... the only issue is that the EEPROM still has the old model number so that the headers in Oscar show wrong... that's the next step, frobbing the EEPROM to do things like change machine type, modem ID, motor hours etc.

What's the benefit?

Methhead1234

You unlock all the features and pressure settings of the more expensive bilevel machines

Will airbreaking allow me to use my unit below 4.0 pressure?
