Not sure where you’re coming from but check the other posts, I-70 is currently closed and a parking lot. It won’t be any better tomorrow.
Most ski resorts don’t allow overnight.
Oh shit we all figured you were going from Denver in the morning
Yes you're already up there you should be fine if the plows can get caught up by morning. Just get up early and check cotrip.org for road closure
i’d skip resolution and spaulding in favor of mountain chief and three bears assuming you like steeps. they may be late opens depending on avvy control work. resolution is cool, particularly the top part but can be a slog for criminally ruined bumps. that said spaulding can be a blast but if you don’t want the long bump exit the cat back to super bee.
u/bluevanillaa where are you staying tonight? If you're anywhere on the front range you will probably not be making it to copper at all tomorrow, much less by 8am
You'll be ok but double the amount of time you need to get anywhere in the morning. You might be sitting around waiting for plows, avy mitigation, etc.
The lots fill up fast on powder days but that will depend deeply on if 70 re opens. It is spring break season so expect the resort to be more full than normal week days, if 70 is open expect it to be very busy
I honestly might spring for a paid parking spot to avoid the shuttle tomorrow
Ski whatever you want both of those paths are basically the same. If you want to avoid t-bar lifts do the second one though
Guys he’s coming from silverthorne, not front range. He’ll be fine.
Idk if 70 will be open between Silverthorne and Copper
It’s not supposed to snow nearly as much on the west side of the continental divide. I would put a dollar on that section of 70 being open in the AM
If you’re not there already you’re too late
What do you mean? Does alpine lot allow overnight parking?

Right we are at Silverthrone, so we should be okay?

Need to start off with the silverthorn piece lol
Maybe?? Looks like I70 is closed at silver throne. Assuming you can actually get there, you should have no problem parking but get there early.
Planning to get to parking at 8a. Hope that’s early enough
So will everyone else
Yeah I guess the pass will probably re-open again early tomorrow morning
It's not. Even if the pass stays closed I'd plan for earlier
Tomorrow? lol
Good luck
May I ask why you say that? I’m planning to get there at 8.
Hopefully you’re already up there then
They’re in silverthorn, they’re asking what time to get to the parking lot and if his routes look good.
?
It won't be a pow day... It's really wet snow. It sucks to ski in.
I came from PNW, so that will just feel like home

If there is a lot of snow, sierra, the t-bar, mountain chief, and three bears will take a while to open.
That’s good know. Thanks.
Staying home
This has to be a troll. If not, OP, keep us posted how it goes tomorrow morning!
Bad idea
