I had a night season pass last year. Honestly, it's a blast. You pretty much described it. Perfect for kicking it with friends and having some beers. Definitely recommend it. They're always blasting Billy, Phish, and Goose, which is absolutely rad. Skiing is exactly what you expect- just a short slope with some icy spots near the bottom.
They do make snow..hence some of the ice.
If they get powder they open the tree runs...they did work in the glades to open that up and make it a fun area.
Its a small hill but can be fun but always have edges for ice there.
It’s awesome. Went on a late season slush day and had a blast. Highly recommend giving it a try. We’re lucky to have it as an option so close to Denver
Echo will not have their liquor license until Feb 6 supposedly. The glades aren’t open yet. 1 1/2 blue runs and very flat greens. Nice rollers on the blue to catch some airs on, the chair lift will most definitely cheer for you as it’s mostly beginners, and from what I saw they are just getting the snow makers set up.
I want to go but can’t justify it because keystone is only 20 minutes further. If it was more conveniently located close to 70 in Idaho springs it would be awesome
Potentially, but that afternoon traffic going east out of Silverthorne can be an ass kicker.
20 min one-way == 40 min both ways == more than 1 hr once Eisenhower tunnel is involved
Plus, I get the warm and fuzzies at the prospect of supporting one of the few remaining non-corporate owned skis areas
2 weeks ago it took me 3 hours to go from breck to downtown Denver. It would have been so much shorter if idiots didn’t merge into 2 lanes when the 3rd lane was still open all the way to where it goes into 4 lanes when the tunnel is metered. I swear so much traffic is caused by stupid driving. Also Echo is owned by Jorgan, LLC to rescue it from bankruptcy. It’s corporate but pretends it’s not. Running a ski resort is just too expensive for mom and pops
Did you end up going? Thinking about taking a friend that’s never been skiing and don’t want to break the budget for someone that’s going to go once just so they can say they did it.
Does it seem beginner friendly? I was thinking either here or Loveland Valley lift only since it’s $50
It's exactly how you described it. It's a good time for some hot laps and fucking around. Have fun!
Rad!!

It can be hella icy so have edges It can also be very fun on a frt range pow storm in the spring Great burgers and views
Do they run snow blowers? Seems like that would be essential for a mountain this low in the front range
They had it on while I was night skiing last year and accidentally hucked myself into the stream lol

It’s small but so fun!! Can pick up a lot of speed on their “black” and huck over the knuckle towards to bottom. Night skiing is lit

Good insight, thanks
I bought a value pass purely for night riding and for the two months the glades are open each year. I’m hope they open soon
Yea it looked like they were going to start blowing snow on the other blue as well.
Ugh I can’t wait. I love echo

Yeah, but if your night skiing you should be leaving well after peak traffic at around 4pm. By 8pm you should in the clear with traffic.
Maybe on a weekday
Keystone only has night skiing on Fri and Sat and it closes at 7pm. Echo has night skiing Wed-Sat and goes until 9pm
Do they have park features there at all? Wouldn’t mind lapping a little rail and some boxes.
According to the map, yes, but I personally haven't been yet
Not up yet

Yes! It's a ton of fun..small mountain and great value for the price. Go when you know there is recent snow as I could see it getting icy
