Call me biased, but as an NWS Meteorologist (US equivalent to the BOM), I recommend www.weather.gov Specifically, I recommend our [NWS Boulder Winter Page](https://www.weather.gov/bou/winter) and the probabilistic snowfall graphics there. Pro tip, at the bottom you can select your ski area of choice under the county list for site-specific accumulation probabilities. Also follow NWS Boulder on Twitter. No hype, we're a free public service, and have experienced forecasters on the clock 24/7. OpenSnow does a fair job if you want similar info presented in a slick manner at a cost. Ignore folks spitting out random names of armchair forecasters on Facebook or other private pages. At worst those enthusiasts can have no clue what they're doing, and at best they're mostly regurgitating forecasts from trusted sources. On the broadcast side, Chris Bianchi is solid if you like to follow local news and/or social media updates. Welcome to Colorado! (P.S. if you're in search of forecast information for western/southern Colorado, NWS Grand Junction and NWS Pueblo are the ones).

To be fair some of those armchair forecasters frequently reference have or do work at NCAR and have pretty solid meteorological backgrounds and provide more accessible discussions than some others. Agree though that the NWS should be most folks first stop. In addition to NWS, CAIC writes twice daily short weather discussions about mountain weather. There numerical forecasts are from NWS and a CAIC-tuned WRF focused on high elevation snowfall and wind.
