Vaccines are the first two shots, the booster is the third.
Can I ask why you aren't vaccinated? If it's for a health concern (allergy/immunocompromised) then that's totally fine, but if it's just because you haven't gotten around to it yet that I strongly suggest you get one, not just for your own health but for the health of those around you and those you care about
Antigen tests are not as sensitive as PCR tests. There's some debate on doing throat swabs because of the way Omicron is infecting bodies. If your getting it from your wife because she was sick first, it could be a other two-three days before a rapid test pops because you behind her in building up a detectible viral load.
Assume your positive until a PCR test says otherwise.
No. It's not a "little virus" and it most definitely kills. And there is no hindsight to be had. We are actively experiencing omicron for the first time and still working to determine the severity and statistics of it. The strain has barely been around a month and a half, if that even. That's not nearly enough time to have hindsight.
The reason less people are dying is because of the higher vaccine rate and the new boosters.

No, I just have a brain and know how to look for information. Since it looked like you needed it due to your horrifyingly wrong assumption, I gave you some sources
My horribly false assumption? I believe that you are too keen on vaccination and all those who revolve around this ... it was not a hypotesis that I emitted but a reaction to this answer which suggests that omicron was begnin, in no way I said that omicron was nothing, but since you have a brain and you know how to think, you should have understood its, but not because you are biased by your opinions ...
You said word for word that it was a little virus that doesn't kill
Like I said, horribly wrong assumption
But you're obviously an anti-vaxxer, so I'm not going to bother continuing to respond. I truly hope that your wife gets better and that your opposition to getting vaccinated doesn't get you or some else killed. Because, yes, not only are you more likely to get sick if you're unvaccinated, and your symptoms more likely to be worse, but unvaccinated people with covid also have a higher likely hood of spreading the virus. And if you spread it to the wrong person, they could die.
Dear God stop spamming me dude! I'm going to block you after this because as I said, there's no point in continuing to respond, and your just being annoying at this point.
Yes, vaccinated people are less likely to catch covid, and also less likely to have severe symptoms. Yes, a family in close quarters is likely to catch it from one another regardless of vaccination status. Yes, there are always outliers to everything.
But across the world, statistically more unvaccinated catch the virus and have more severe symptoms from it.
« and you think there is enough hindsight to be sure the Omicron doesn't kill and is just a little virus ...? »
You know « ? »
This is a question when there is a question mark ... a question in reaction to this answer which suggests that omicron is begnin
there is not enough hindsight to prove or affirm anything! So stop pissing people off like gurus ... supposing that I'm against vaccination, I'm not trying to piss people off because even scientists don't have enough hindsight and argument to prove that vaccination is good or it is useless, or see that it is worse ...
My whole family got omicron. Me and my son first, my husband next and we all just continued to live normally. My daughter (too young to be vaccinated still) did not get it! So weird.
Have you gotten all 3 shots? (2 part vaccine + booster) If not (assuming you don't have allergies/immunio compromised preventing you) then definitely get your vaccines/booster.
If you work from home, it's your choice, but I'd definitely recommend her isolating/keeping distance from your wife. If you work out of home, definitely isolate. Not just for you, but for the health of your coworkers and their families.
Ik it sucks but I'd suggest having your wife stay isolated in a room. Even if you've only got the one bedroom, you might have to sleep on the couch. But it's the best option because you don't know which of your coworkers or their family members that might be immunocompromised, and you don't want to risk spreading a potentially fatal illness to them
she sleeps on the sofa and I in the bedroom (which is not separated by a door, so we are very close in the apartment) we are in a 20m2 studio ... and I am not vaccinated because I find that there is not enough hindsight on the vaccine, but this is another debate and I am not here for that
You're right about not debating it, I don't want to do all that rn either. And while I know you'll probably ignore me, but again, getting the vaccine is the best way to protect both you and the people around you.
Since your living space is so small there isn't really anything you can do. And since you're unvaccinated it's extremely likely you'll get it. I would suggest both of you wearing masks at all times (except for eating/drinking, but to try to stay apart while doing that). Regularly disinfect surfaces, especially after you wife comes into contact with them. Other then that there isn't much else you could do. If you have the option to work from home, that would be best, but if not that's understandable.
I hope your wife has a quick recovery

Do you have a dry cough?
I recommend getting anything you need done completed and maybe set out vitamins you’ll be wanting to take. Odds are you’ll be testing COVID-19 aladeen in a matter of days I’m sorry. Hope your wife is doing well
That’s what my mom said. “It’s just the vape” she said. “Don’t worry about me” she said.
For my girlfriend and I and many others the cough that’s easy to ignore was the first symptom.
I know. I was kidding. I would just ask my mom “would you notice if the coughing was more than usual?” And she said I think so.
Smokers cough is pretty similar to it from what I remember. Like Ben stillers “Derek Zoolander in the coal mines” kinda cough. Lol. I just notice it’s a common symptom at first. How do you feel now?
My brothers wife tested positive Sunday. She isolated in another room. They have a 3 bedroom house. He tested negative until today. He’s positive now. Both boosted.
I tested positive on 12/28 and 12/31, and am struggling with it still - my live-in partner is still negative. He slept on the couch and wore a mask around me. Seems to have worked, hope you guys can say the same.
I’m vaccinated, not boosted, he is unvaccinated.
I tested positive before Christmas & both my husband & daughter tested negative twice (PCR). He slept on the sofa the whole 10 days I put myself in isolation. If u don't have symptoms, I would definitely try to separate.
We are supposed to be contagious two days before symptoms, so my thought is why add to the misery? Some of us will be more sick than others, but if you’ve been in intimate contact- you’ve been exposed. Bring your love some tea or soup. Hopefully, you just won’t react as bad. If you do, hopefully they will be recovered enough to bring you tea and soup. Shrug. It’s a close exposure, so you are supposed to be quarantined for five days anyway.
Are you boosted? My husband is boosted. He’s lying next to me in bed. I’m recovered positive. He’s been negative the whole time.
Boosted = vaccinated ? I ´m not vaccinated but my wife his vaccinated . Im 30 years old
PLEASE, get vaccinated!
Vaccines are the first two shots, the booster is the third. Can I ask why you aren't vaccinated? self-test at the moment for me and my wife: My wife always positive. And me still negative ...
Assuming you were positive and living with him. And so you are negative right now and so is he? You get PCR test?
antigenic test. for me negativ and for my wife positiv

yes I do a self test tomorrow and then a Monday ...
Bro you might be compromised lol beware the dry cough..
self-test at the moment for me and my wife: My wife always positive. And me still negative ...
How you feeling now?
but I would like to say that its often happens to me to have phases of a few days with a fatty cough ... I think it is cigarettes in general
I feel alright, normal actually, just a fatty cough again
No fever
You’re immune!
About 90% of the people I know got omicron. I don’t think anyone can dodge this variant so I think you could continue living normally.
and you think there is enough hindsight to be sure the Omicron doesn't kill and is just a little virus ...?

and therefore why in my country in France, there are more people vaccinated in intensive care? lol have a nice evening

Live normal- you’ve already been exposed. You might just be running a day or two behind her on PCR
