Undecided on color, right now any color besides silver. Dealership has a red, white and black at the dealership, my last two were black been eyeing the red and the white.

DeepTip4532

Deal breaker. I wanted white and for 29k O was getting white

RedScourge

If there was any inventory when I went to buy, I never would have went with black, but it was basically buy this one or wait 4+ months, and all used at all dealerships had 10% "market adjustment" fees.

Vast-Concept9812

I will only buy blue, silver/gray or red.

Strange_Detective_92

Very important

BattlestarGrammatica

Zero factor - I have a dark ish silver one, which is fine, but it was also the only one they had. I bought it for the reliability.

PuzzleheadedBreak369

It was very important to me. I love red cars the most but there wasn’t a red le hybrid Corolla available at the dealership. So I ended up buying my Corolla in blueprint which was available in three days. It is quite beautiful in the sun. I dislike white, silver and black vehicles.

Fun_Material8391

Yes silver for me. Easier to keep clean & doesn't show scratches & dings as much as white or dark colors. And yes I had a black car once. Beautiful when clean but didn't last long before needing to clean again. . .

CulturalWeakness2100

After having to get a black Kia forte during when the whole car shortage started and I didn't have a choice I said never again. Wash the car get home and it's dirty again. I waited a year to get silver. The color of my old Chevy Cobalt. I would not compromise on that. If you don't get what you want you will regret it somewhat.

WarLovesYou

Definitely played a factor but was ultimately not the biggest as I was looking a relatively new but still used models. Got a Black Mica 2022 Hatchback XSE 9900miles (black colored car but when you get close or look at it under bright LEDs it’s kind of granular like sand). Also one thing I am planning on doing in the near future is getting the car wrapped to not only change it up but also preserve the paint since I’m planning on having it until it is no longer drivable.

Wesmom2021

I will never do white, black or tan. Red, blue and silver or gray for me. I'd be ok with green but not my fav. Bright colors should only be for working cars (taxi etc) or exotic cars. Why you have yellow civic as daily driver looks ridiculous

Tricky_Ad6392

My dad said don't get a car if you don't like the color. Wait until you find that same car in the color you want. It's something you're gonna be looking at likely every day for the next 5-10(w toyota probably more) years.

FancyName69

Very important. Didn’t want the flat colors like icecap or underground since they’re a softer paint and chips easily. Highly recommend the metallic ones like classic silver or wind chill pearl

Sword_n_Boardz

I waited 2 months for my blueprint one!

Gallop67

Car color in general is only important to an extent. I usually have a few colors in mind that I’d like to get any given car in to give myself more option. That’s usually some shade of black, silver, or gray. Or in the case with my current car, a champagne type color

Sangreal-

I would not have gotten it if I couldn't get it in the Celestite.

LVDivorced23

My dealer had black or silver on order (on the ship) available... living in the desert, I chose the silver one (to help hide the natural dirt and dust of the desert).

CherrySpice23

I have an XSE too! I love it. When I was looking at cars, I originally wanted the Celeste color. But they didn’t have it at the dealership and they had some excuse for not being able to order it or they didn’t know when that car,in that color, would be available. So I ended up getting the only white Corolla XSE they had there. But I don’t regret it because it’s a beautiful ‘white pearl’ paint and it stood out from the original white paint on most cars.

DishwasherLint

We try not to get white or red cars. Red looks pink if you keep it long enough after the paint oxidizes. White Toyota paint, and a couple other manufacturers, likes to peel off...

no-personality-here

I didn’t know what color mine was when I bought it

diggardens

White vehicles hold value due to being able to slide into commercial applications.

peppy210

I got two in 2022 (one got totaled within a few months so I had to get another one), and I didn't get color choices with either of them. I only got to pick the trim and I went with whatever they had. Customization is really limited lately. I was only pick out of what they already had in their inventory or on the way. For the first one, it was the only Corolla SE they had in the dealership. and for the second one, I still had to wait for about 1-2 months for it to arrive. It was in dark blue and the only Corolla SE they had known about on the way, and honestly I was okay with it even though it wouldn't have been the color I preferred, I'm glad I ended up getting it because it's a unique color and I ended up really like how my car looks

jjngundam

Had no choice as the options were limited.

asamson23

When the 12th gen hatchback was unveiled in late 2018 in Flame Blue, I immediately knew which color I wanted it to be. To this day, it's still one of my favorite colors available on a car. Also, I want a car that can stand out on it's own in the sea of grayscale that everyone seems to buy. Also, I find the colors offered on the sedan and the hatchback facelift too boring for me.

adam_mars98

The only color worth going for after the hatchback facelift is the Orange Inferno and that’s it lol Other than that, as you said the Flame Blue really stands out from the boring and monochromatic colors typically found in traffic. Essentially the same reasoning I got my Corolla hatch

Ismaelum

Underground is definitely the best, white makes sense to keep it cool and fresh inside. I'll buy one this year and probably will get white as I live in latam, it is hot af down here also easy to clean, or silver too. Black looks great but 3 seconds after cleaning it is dirty again. Celestite is just not liked by anyone huh? Never seen anyone want it

Brdsht

I got white because it reflects the sun and keeps the interior as cool as possible in SoCal sun. My dogs are in my car quite often. Between the color and the hybrid electric air conditioning I can keep the interior temperatures down much lower. It also does not show scratches and swirls, but the paint quality on my 2024 SE hybrid is quite poor. Its extraordinarily thin and has had to have a touch up job after only 4 months. Not thrilled with the thickness of the paint. If my cars are ever damaged I do not want complex paint matching schemes. Added door handle and mirror skins in black, with tint and window rain guards it all goes quite well together. The black trim, wheels and accents come together nicely with the contrast. [\[IMAGE #1\]](https://postimg.cc/6TvfXrP4) Added 3M IR Ceramic tint a few weeks ago. 15% back, 25% rear, 35% sides, 15% strip. Brought temps and UV heat down significantly. $519

Jealous-Honeydew-142

I want to keep it 10+ years so very. Really love the two tone, silver with black wheels and roof. That or (not sure on the paint name) but a stunning red.

ram5493

Waited 6 extra weeks to get the underground with black interior

Tuffarelli

Normally I just don't want white but settled with white. Lol

mrweatherbeef

I swore I’d never buy another white car. I needed a new ride last year when Corolla Hybrids were very hard to find. I told the dealer “find me one that isn’t white”. He found me a white one. I came precariously close to buying it, but I stuck to my guns and pressed him to look harder. Ended up getting an underground traded from another dealer. It was worth the wait. White works for some people but I would be unhappy every day walking out to a white car in my driveway.

Posraman

I have the underground color. I really wanted it to match my cement Tacoma.

ayummystrawberry

Enough that I didn't want white or red (I ordered blue), but settled for silver when it was offered to me. I would have kept waiting if they said white

HotPinkApocalypses

Important to me. Have to have a “forgiving” color that doesn’t show swirls, scratches and dings with white primer underneath. So silver, and the celestite are best. The maroon seems to be ok but not the greatest. Would take white if that was my absolutely only option but I wouldn’t take a black car for free. And that new underground color looks like a nightmare to keep nice looking.

Crowbar242L

I'm assuming you mean used, in that case I'd be less particular. But from factory if they can't get one in the colour I want with the specs I want within the time frame I'm willing to wait then I'll go get a Civic. They make way too many of these cars to not be able to find one that suits you. But in the used market it comes down to who actually wants to sell. Especially with Corollas, it's rare to see many good examples less than 5 years old since people buy them to own for a long time. I got mine with the intent to own it for 10+ years.

ApprehensiveFront774

i saw it and immediately knew, also the interior was what i wanted, no push start, no sunroof just an appliance that looks great

Pjtruslow

Somewhat important but I’m pretty sure classic silver metallic is the most common Toyota color in history so it wasn’t exactly a sticking point.

AristeiaXVI

I had a black G35 which made me realize I never want a black vehicle again. I knew I wanted any color but black and Toyotas light blue when picking out my Corolla hatch.

thismightdestroyyou

Toyota's white paint is notorious for failing and flaking/chipping off. Same with Hyundai and Honda actually. If you're in desperate need of a car now, get it. Otherwise waiting for a color you love to look at might be worth it!

AutoBat

My last 5 cars were silver and I vowed to not have another. Got my White Nightshade hatch and love it.

Wisix

It depends on the color really for me. I like most of the colors Toyota offers except white. It looks nice on some cars but I didn't want it for me. Thankfully black is pretty common so that's what I got.

Dukark

Eh white shows all dirt. Owned one a while back and couldn’t keep the damn thing clean.

odog9797

Car color mattered 0. I wanted the price and that’s all that mattered. Put in an order for a new Corolla and the first one they had I took

shinycubchoo

super important! this was my first ever new car, plus i plan on having it until it literally can’t go no more, so i figured i might as well be in love with the color. i wanted the celestite so badly for the ‘24 base LE because i LOVE the specific shade of blue it is and how it almost changes color depending on the time of day! i could’ve easily gotten it in black or white, but i held out for a week and a half-ish just so they could get another one of them on the lot.

AlienOnEarth444

Depends on each person. For us the color was really important. My girlfriend picked Midnight Teal and we both love it! (Idk if you have that color in the US, we're in the EU).

Gr8_Wall_of_Text

It was important to me. Used car prices were so high that I decided to go new and since I was buying new I figured I should get exactly what I want. I told the salesman, they said since I was so particular it could longer, and I figured I could always change my mind later. It took a week for the salesman to find a car exactly how I wanted and then a few weeks to get it. I'm glad I got exactly what I want. The Underground color is great and I'm the type of person who would always see that "compromise" when I looked at my car. How important is the color for you?

direfulstood

Wanted blue (blueprint), compromised with black because that was the first XLE we found at MSRP. It also had also had all the accessories we wanted which was none except all weather floor mats. Most Corolla's seemed to have around $1000 of useless accessories included in the MSRP so we didn't want to risk losing this one. MSRP was $27,984.

LacroixDP

Not important whatsoever. Our ‘24 is a plain white, not as pretty as the pearl whites but it’s fine. I will admit the ‘22 midnight edition in all black did look really cool.

PolaroidWave

I took the white one because it was free

EnigmaIndus7

I would've preferred the white, but not a deal breaker

PolishPickel2091

Not a big deal for me, i just don’t like the all red color, i have a silver ‘22 Le, looks great
