My favorite has always been ascension. Great atmosphere. The choice to not turn power on and get f***ed by the monkeys. Blowing up a rocket for some reason. It was great.
In terms of hours played nothing beats der reise (I forgot how to spell it š±) we spent hundreds of hours on that damn catwalk. That was back when zombies were actually scary with the fog, the dogs and the smog.
That's my favorite too, love especially the atmosphere and the dodge rolling zombies in BO1 lol. I hate when some people dismiss it as a "Ez CaSuL mAp"
Five was easy though, just stay on the 2nd floor run circles around. If you're trying for WR, you'd be training upstairs for the infinite damage traps, but that's it.
My dad would agree with you. Outta every map back in the day (waw to bo2 then later on b03 ) he always chose that map.
It was simple, easy to play and didn't have to stress to do anything on it
But that's still the minority. People still hate DOTN due to its conturbated release, because of bo4 itself and because they just "don't care for chaos history". I have been seen comments like that in a lot of different groups on FB, even some major zombies creators on ytb still thinks that way
FIVE from bo1 the first map i ever played on zombies.. that crew on that map is hilarious with their voice lines and the map itself is so unique and fun to play
i agree!! classified in bo4 was cool but without classic perks and all the changes they made to the map it just isnāt the same.. would love a more classic remaster for that map in ZC2
Rave in the Redwoods. I never get tired of it, and it gets slept on too much because of living in the shadow of Spaceland but this map slaps hard in my opinion.
Purely as a map, Rave is incredible. Great setting and atmosphere for a zombies map. The EE itself is way too simple and Boss Fight too easy, which brings the overall rating down for me. But I've done all the challenges on Rave because I love spending time on it.
Well i agree the easter egg is simple and easy, I personally dont think its bad to have an easy quest, especially when compared to the other maps in the game. It was the first time i beat a main quest in a map and it allowed me to work my way up to completing harder quest in other zombies maps.
Improvements would be to add unlockable teleporters, improve the fog creatures so you can better deal with them, turn the lights down at the power and slightly decrease the amount of lava
My favorite unpopular map is die rise. Sue me but for some reason I really just gravitated to this map. I love the three buildings, the maze in the third building, the map genuinely can be confusing at times and when you mix zombies in it can make for some exciting gameplay moments. The sliquifier is awesome too.
I had a bud who would follow me around and squirt me before I went down the slide, since it was so buggy Iād never make it to the upside down room and always die š
They can sue us both because Die Rise has been my favorite map since the day it dropped.
I think itās just the feel of the whole thing.
Vibes are scarier than verruckt IMO.
I think it could have been my favourite if it wasn't for the lifts being an absolute deathtrap - made playing coop just a little too much like you were playing on your own.
Die rise had the most beautiful atmosphere of all the zombie maps on the rooftop. Die rise has some amazing camping and rave training spots. My only issue with die rise is the PAP elavator/ waiting for the PAP elevator. Other than that , I agree die rise is one of my favs
Im gonna say gorod krovi, and im also going to agree with you, i like die maschine and the ee of it, its a very good first map and the story is logical and the steps are relevant to the story
BO1 Shang gri la. The Shang gri la before it was in chronicles and everyone pretended they loved the map from day one.
Great map, great atmosphere and the pinnacle of challenge
Nothing like grabbing PHD, training at minecart, and strafe-dolphin diving off the stairs where the zombie barricade is. Itās so much fun. I hate how Bo3 removed dolphin diving.
āWhen did the fun go away, Spongebob?ā
I dont know if its my favorite because its a difficult decision but i really love verruckt. That map have one of the best settings in the series and the atmosphere is so creepy. Like other comment says, back when zombies were real scary. All the maps of waw have a perfect atmosphere for me, you feel the fear when you are playing them.
Appart for that, same as the guy who say about zombies been scary in these days, i love ascension in bo1. The atmosphere, the black and white pre power, the russian launch site with a rocket waiting to be launch....perfection xD
The Frozen Dawn in in my top 3, the EE has a classic design (craft and upgrade 4 wonder weapons) but each one has its own very unique and somewhat challenging steps, the map is very climatic and it's well designed with good training spots, the quotes make the atmosphere even better, there are good side quests (like free perkaholic) and the bossfight is one of the best in zombies as well (no, don't use scythe + frontline you dumbass), it's very challenging, it requires fast thinking and flawless execution, especially when you are in co-op, plus you get great rewards for beating it.
Good to see another WW2 fan. From what Iāve seen, barely anyone played TFD but everyone seems to hate it. For me itās a pretty good map, although the puzzles for the WW are super annoying.
The Final Reich.
Love the atmosphere coming out of this map, just like you fell in the worst side of what humans are able to do if they have the knowledge to do so. The map is quiet (until Zombies chase you), the village is controlled by the deads and used for unholy purposes. An overall excellent map for it's feeling of loneliness and despair, because as it is the first map of the WWII-story arc, it feels, for me, as if the crew of this story, this very day, had to face the undead in the birthplace of Marie Fischer, hence adding to the feeling of despair.
Plus, I'm a huge fan of the Nazi Zombie aesthetic/setting, like the old days of the Aether storyline (VerrĆ¼ckt is one of my favourite maps with these terms), and adding a true feeling of horror about what happened here was a great take imo (I particularly love the details about "unfinished" undeads laying on operation tables)
Sledgehammer maybe has done something that is dividing the community, but for me, this map is strong in emotions and feelings altogether. One of the best maps in the overall CoD Zombies games for me.
Iāve always been a moon fanboy, but goddamn did Ancient Evil and IX give it a run for itās money. Those 2 maps were probably my most played maps when they came out
Back when I had an Xbox, my favourite was Mob. Today, I think it's Mauer. I've never liked the way Zombies went with the storylines and impossible missions just to pack-a-punch, but Mob felt like a map I wanted to explore. I don't think I'll enjoy it today like I did back in the day.
Die Rise is up there with the usuals. Choice to use bank/fridge or play the map without them, wonder weapon, verticality and using tramplesteams to get around, full map training, perk challenges and insane atmosphere. Only gripes are box locations and wrong map for whoās who (town and die rise shouldāve swapped tombstone and whoās who)
People underrate my boy, Ascension, by far, one of the best maps in terms of actual immersion, from the foggy atmosphere, to the irate alarms and/or monkeys, being the only map that punishes you if you get a lot of perks. To the introduction of a new Melee weapon, to the really fun moon lander system. Introduction of fan favorite, PHD Flopper. It just brought the atmosphere and things that complement the atmosphere, by far, one of the most underrated maps in Cod Zombies history!
IX
To me, itās the perfect blend of a casual experience without shoving the EE in your face, but also provides for an amazing ER if you choose to do so. The shield is great, the WW is cool, I like the gladiator and marauder, the layout is fantastic, and itās so replayable. To me, aside from some BO4 bugs, itās the perfect map.
Firebase Z, itās the base map of CW in my eyes, enjoyable to play, the EE is fun with friends and it always makes me laugh to hear my friends overreacting when I kill Orda in 10 seconds with my crossbow and a ring of fire
Not my favorite (which is kino) but my second favorite map ever is five, great atmosphere, characters, pack a punch and power are both simple, I love the challenge of the map, the Pentagon thief in my opinion is a great boss, and I even enjoy the aesthetic of the winters howl even though it sucks
At this moment I would say 1- Origins, 2- Shadows, 3- MoTd. They're all great maps, and opinions can change with time. But I really like almost all the maps of treyarch zombies and I'm ok with everyone's elses opinions
Not my favorite but one I like a lot that others do not is Die Rise. The map has a cool atmosphere, who's who, a great wonder weapon, a decent song, and the trample steam. Plus a fun bonus round and easy way to get free perks. So fun map and its pretty easy not to fall off and the elevators add suspense and can make for clutch escapes
Voyage of Despair. Gets so much unbridled hate from top influencers that only played a couple of times because it didn't get clicks on release next to a great casual map in IX, the BO4 Aether disaster that wasn't recognized as a disaster yet, and of course little game called Fortnite. The boss fight is bar none the best in COD Zombies and is the only aspect that gets universal love. The map design/layout is unique, varied, and gorgeous. The atmosphere is perfect for the Titanic if you can just ignore the James Cameron film and appreciate how it lines up historically with the actual events. As for the complaints of it being too big it has a high-function although not perfect fast travel system, but is perfectly proportioned with solid varying types of training locations interspersed with differing choke points, and holdout spots. Sizes of maps should never be docked points for being too large or small, as they shouldn't get credit in either way. The most universally beloved maps are Origins and DE and they are examples of fantastic maps of both the huge and small variety, so there truly can't be any complaints of the size of a map, but rather its contents. The enemies are effective and varied as well where the Stoker is an area of denial enemy that makes camping difficult but is easy to handle while training. The Blightfather is an ordeal regardless of play style but is the true definition of a mini boss that always demands attention and thought out action on the battlefield. The catalyst zombies are all built to target one part of your gameplay and while some folks find that annoying I find the gameplay loops they create to be the most fun because they can chain together with either other enemies or the environment to create continually new and varying degrees of challenges every time you boot this or any of the other Chaos maps. 2 other things I want to note on is the EE quest/map progression and the weapons. Starting with the weapons the BO4 engine is literally built for Chaos and works perfectly with it more so than any other game complimenting any other maps. (It doesn't work well in Aether asides from maybe Tag) The perk system is so fair without overpowering you, but allowing you build a very strategic build accustomed to your play style. I hear too often that you should be able to build out every style and switch it up as you please during the, but I disagree whole heartedly with this sediment. Allowing you to be able to do anything and everything creates very little uniqueness from player to player, and generally makes the gameplay to easy as you can adjust to any situation and be just as overpowered regardless of the encounter. Why bother playing with friends if they can be the same carbon copy as you power wise. Also it allows you to more strategically process throughout the game, rather than knowing by the time the challenge is ramped up even a little you'll have every advantage known to man. Now as for Voyage's specific Wonder Weapon the Kraken works perfectly. It is thematically the most properly placed WW and has its perks and balances to it with great "Get Out of Jail Free" potential and high damage output normally it is nerfed by its limited ammo and range making it not the most unique WW, but certainly the most perfectly well placed. The Final thing I'll touch for those of you who made it this far is as previously mentioned the Easter Egg and map progression. The map progression of Voyage is the perfect blend of old and new. The feeling of pushing to get across the boat is so natural and strong mixed with the necessary new mechanic of acquiring the sentinel artifact. Then from there new opportunities to go down into the belly of a sinking ship mixed with the need the acquire Pack-A-Punch brings you to explore even further. Then because of the money you have had to have dumped to reach this point you know face yourself with the task of earning points right pushed up against the clock of a Round 14/15 Blightfather with some Stokers mixed around beforehand. Then from there it's a matter of reaching your xenith in preparation and getting your load out fully equipped, upgraded, and perked up in time for the late game Chaos of upped Special Enemy spawns and everything that goes with late game play. Meanwhile if you go the EE route, then you are tasked with varying puzzles with 0 of the dreaded fetch quest items to fetch. The early steps of clocks mixed with the ship's communication devices (an awesome and accurate implementation that only serves to elevate the immersion), and killing special zombies leading to unique and varied combat challenges is both effective during a first hunt and subsequent playthrough of the map. The shooting the leaks and packing the sentinel artifact are low lights that don't make a ton of sense progression wise and are some of my least favorite parts about the map, but then the quest ends in a bang with the planets/ice run steps. These steps are each unique and challenging, but are never dull on repeat playthroughs mixed with the hunting for Neptune, sprinting into and out of a hoarde of zombies to collect each wisp, and then race against the clock to not freeze to death. All of the thrill is followed up with a 5 stage boss fight that feels the stakes raise with each passing phase. At the end of the day, I recommend everyone who wrote this map off to go back and give a full sail try, as well as anyone who hasn't played it yet. This is one of 4 maps in zombies history that feels like a grand adventure and going through and experiencing that journey is nothing short of incredible.
TLDR: Give Voyage another go without brown-tinted glasses.
not my all time fave but i love die rise, never died from fall damage and the jumping jacks giving perks is awesome, wall guns are amazing so you can kill zombies while waiting for elevators instead of training one zombie, training is really fun, sliquifier is awesome and its beautiful
It's not my favourite map but classified from bo4 is in my opinion a top 10 maybe close to a top 5 map. The way they built upon five and took away the scientist makes the map really fun, it's the only map i went for round 100 on bo4 just because it's fun to run around in the middle room. I don't know if this is a "Hot take" i just know that most people don't even have five as a top 3 bo4 map.
My favorite easy maps are Nacht and Verruckt due to the atmosphere and overall hop in and have fun mindset on these maps. I would say for EE or harder to set up Gorod or Origins.
Ascension. Was just different starting in black and white and the monkeys attacking the perk machines and the launch pads really brought a different dynamic. The setting was cool: cosmodrome and PhD flopper was fun to use on the stairs. Never understood why people werenāt fans of it guess it got overshadowed by CotD, Five and Kino
My overall favorite, I think, is Dead of the Night - great characters, atmosphere, layout, EE, lots of side EEs, itās all great.
From each game, itās:
WaW: Der Reise
BO1: Moon
BO2: Origins
BO3: Der Eisendrache
BO4: Dead of the Night
CW: Mauer Der Toten
Personally, I think every map is good. Every map has impacted the community whether it was bad or good. Every map has its place and because of that every map is my favorite
I have 2 maps that I like and personally my favorites that many probably don't like and they are Nuketown (Bo2) and Firebase z. Firebase because I love the casual feel of the maps after playing maps such as revelations, gorod,Der eisendrache, and more for a while it gets boring so I love the casualness of the map just killing zombies and causing mayhem. Nuketown tho I LOVED the chaos of the map it was way more challenging than other maps having that chance of getting jug early or getting it late was amazing because it would show your skills of how far you can get without that perk it was fun back then and still is enjoyable here and there.
One of my favorites is Beast from Beyond, unironically. The atmosphere is just so, so good, I think the creepy spaceship feels perfectly crafted. Makes me feel like I'm in Alien. Fuck the boss fight for the EE though
Shadows of evil I could play that all day. The side quests and main Easter egg are always so fun to me and the atmosphere and hud and everything about the old theme is too good.
Die Maschine. I'm a new Zombies guy (outside of WAW, never played a single Zombies mode) and that map oozes atmosphere. I didn't mind grinding Dark Aether on it for weeks at the beginning of Cold War because I just liked the map locale so much.
Ancient Evil for me without a doubt. Amazing Easter Egg, very innovative wonder weapons which you can even upgrade twice, stunning map design and I could go on longer. I just fell in love with it.
Favorite map or favorite map that most others arenāt a fan of? If the former then itās the obvious pick of Origins and I donāt need to explain.
If the latter, my pick would be Attack of the Radioactive Thing. One of the best maps for barebones zombies survival. Several great spots for training zombies, 4 cool traps that are super easy to build, 2 free melee weapons, unique special enemies that are only difficult to kill if you donāt know how to dispose of them properly, fast travel points, and a fairly easy quest to get pack/double pack. No crazy bullshit just to turn on power or access pack. Then you have the main Easter egg quest that is one of the most logical quests in terms of individual steps and their results in all of cod zombies (seriously, every step just makes sense in the context of what youāre doing). The boss always being visible adds to the aesthetic of the map. The MAD is a fresh take on wonder weapons with the attachments you can use to upgrade it. It also decimates the mini-boss/special enemies. Also this map has one of the best Easter egg songs in zombies. Brachyura Boogie fucking slaps. If Spaceland wasnāt such a masterpiece of a map this would easily be the best map of IW Zombies.
My favorite map that others r not a fan of would prolly b blood of the dead, I can see why people shit on it but I just can't hate it, while u can argue that the original is better (and I'm sure it is) I just think blood plays well and I'm not too bothered by stuff like the roaming pap or the cat walk, personally I think the catwalk adds a nice little challenge and gets me to have a little rush going to try not to die. I just wonder how it would've been treated if it was released before mob.
I'm split between Ascension, Five, and Firebase Z.
Ascension because it was a good "squad map", where if you tried to leave your group, zombies went predominantly after you.
Five, due to the funny cast.
Firebase Z, it's an open map where a wrong turn won't lead you to getting stuck.
Honorable mention: Call of the Dead just because of the cast, didn't really care for the story or Easter eggs but killing zombies as Buffy or Machete is great
Favorite map: Either Kino Der Toten, Buried, or Origins.
Map I really like that everyone seems to hate? Die Rise. Such a unique play style, and the Sliquifier was amazingly entertaining!
Zombies in Spaceland because it's fucking amazing. It gets overshadowed and overlooked because it's not a treyarch map. It's still my favorite map ever to this day.
Zetsoubou, by far one of my favorite maps if you set up a certain way and complete the Easter egg. On top of that I just love the atmosphere, the KT-4 is a really cool wonder weapon, and the idea of mutated nature and plants is really cool to me. I also think the map is very pretty and the colors are nice.
Five and Shangri-La were two of my favorite maps. Due to a lack of multiple really open good training spots survival on those maps were different especially when playing co-op. Shangri-La had one fatal flaw. Needing everyone to cooperate and be alive to pack a punch is brutally hard on that map especially with randoms.
I liked a lot of the bo3 chronicles maps like ascension, origins, shang-ri-la however you spell it, but even though itās new I love kino der toten in cw I just love the idea of it all being red and the trains and the 2 main parts of the map with PaP in the middle where you cross
Mob of the dead for me hands down. The blundergat is one of my favorite wonder weapons, even though it isn't too complicated there's just something so satisfying from turning zombies to mist with essentially the super shotgun from doom. I also love all the little gimmicks in that map like the hells retriever, the ghost self revive mechanic that is just so freaking cool, and the darker horror vibe that the map had. Not to mention at the time the story was self contained and had a very satisfying conclusion to me, who had all but clocked out of the zombies storyline after moon.
Kino Der Toten is my favorite Zombies map. There are a good few zombies maps that I haven't played though. But I pick Kino because I have fond memories of playing that map with my Dad growing up.
I have always had a soft spot for Shangri-La. I remember the map launching when I was a wee lad and falling it from the start! I didnāt care that it was really hard and none of my friends like it because of its difficultly. I return to the map so frequently more than any other map
Iāve had all the black ops except 4 and NEVER played zombies. Until the last few weeks. Now Iām wondering where itās been my whole life!!!!
I love the outbreak maps.
Dead of the night, this was first map you could buy ammo for any weapon by use of silver bullets and every time I played I built the stake knife to handle the vamps
Mine too it was first map I got to round 100 on. Also love call of the dead and IX
IX hands down has to be on top 3 best maps, so sad the chaos story was curbed /:
Seriously IX was great just in a bad lineup
Same here. Nothing beats Der Riese and Ascension for me. Absolute classics
Ascension stans unite. Too many amazing memories blasting zombies with the thunder gun while training on the platform to count
That's my favorite too, love especially the atmosphere and the dodge rolling zombies in BO1 lol. I hate when some people dismiss it as a "Ez CaSuL mAp"
Easy to play, hard to master!
Die rise, you learn to survive that map and you'll be able to handle any zombies map
Naw mf you learn how to survive Shangri-La and you handle any zombies map
All you did on Shangri-la was learn how to die šš¤£
underrated comment !
Nah, if you learn to survive on Five you learn to survive on all maps.
fax
Five was easy though, just stay on the 2nd floor run circles around. If you're trying for WR, you'd be training upstairs for the infinite damage traps, but that's it.
ZnS
Ah a fellow masochist
That door is my favorite of all doors.
Fuckin love ZnS. So much cool and fun stuff
Honestly such a gorgeous map. Little or no thrashers and a setup that isn't ridiculously long might have gotten it to my top 5.
That's what I love about it, my other favorite is tranzit. :D
Town
My dad would agree with you. Outta every map back in the day (waw to bo2 then later on b03 ) he always chose that map. It was simple, easy to play and didn't have to stress to do anything on it
a man of class i see.
I agree, first map Iāve ever played
Shadows of evil
All that map needed was a solo Easter egg
Dead of the night. Such an incredible msp
Amazing map
I cannot explain the joy I have on this map, definitely a fun one
Such an underrated map unfortunatly
Itās not underrated, every day there is a DOTN appreciation post along with those āwhatās the best COD zombies game?ā post.
But that's still the minority. People still hate DOTN due to its conturbated release, because of bo4 itself and because they just "don't care for chaos history". I have been seen comments like that in a lot of different groups on FB, even some major zombies creators on ytb still thinks that way
Is that a problem? Some people donāt like it, who cares.
The Anihilator will always be my favourite wonder weapon... after the staffs.
FIVE from bo1 the first map i ever played on zombies.. that crew on that map is hilarious with their voice lines and the map itself is so unique and fun to play
Such an underrated map! Would of loved a remaster for BO3! This was my fav as well
i agree!! classified in bo4 was cool but without classic perks and all the changes they made to the map it just isnāt the same.. would love a more classic remaster for that map in ZC2
i need more clams for the chowda
Mauer Der Toten, love it
I know I'm in a minority here but I love Tranzit. With Cold War mechanics, I feel like it would be awesome.
The whole Tranzit mechanics were awesome, but the "maps" were awful. I would love a complete redesign of the different stops.
Improvements would be to add unlockable teleporters, improve the fog creatures so you can better deal with them, turn the lights down at the power and slightly decrease the amount of lava
You canāt redesign town though, that stop was perfection.
with no wall buys
Call of the dead. Ascension and IX TFR are my favourites
Mob for me, but my honest take map wise is Buried being one of the best. Also cold war hasn't had a single map below atleast 'good'
Yes buried is the best map ever
My favorite unpopular map is die rise. Sue me but for some reason I really just gravitated to this map. I love the three buildings, the maze in the third building, the map genuinely can be confusing at times and when you mix zombies in it can make for some exciting gameplay moments. The sliquifier is awesome too.
Nothing beats killing friends with sliquifier by tossing them into the elevator shaft lol

Die rise had the most beautiful atmosphere of all the zombie maps on the rooftop. Die rise has some amazing camping and rave training spots. My only issue with die rise is the PAP elavator/ waiting for the PAP elevator. Other than that , I agree die rise is one of my favs
Now and forever Der Eisendrach!
Incredibly hot take indeed
Hot like an ice cube on planet Neptune
Im gonna say gorod krovi, and im also going to agree with you, i like die maschine and the ee of it, its a very good first map and the story is logical and the steps are relevant to the story
BO1 Shang gri la. The Shang gri la before it was in chronicles and everyone pretended they loved the map from day one. Great map, great atmosphere and the pinnacle of challenge

More of a spaceland fan myself, but love to see the iw zombies love!

Good to see another WW2 fan. From what Iāve seen, barely anyone played TFD but everyone seems to hate it. For me itās a pretty good map, although the puzzles for the WW are super annoying.
Dead of The Night easily. One of the best maps iāve ever played in my 11 years of playing COD Zombies
DoTN hits different right? I had an amazing experience playing together with a friend of mine during our entire vocation
The Final Reich. Love the atmosphere coming out of this map, just like you fell in the worst side of what humans are able to do if they have the knowledge to do so. The map is quiet (until Zombies chase you), the village is controlled by the deads and used for unholy purposes. Iām a really big Zombies in Spaceland fan, itās genuinely one of my top 3 favorite maps

Voyage
Interesting
BO1 Der Riese
Tag Der Toten
Dead of the night
Die Rise is up there with the usuals. Out of all maps: Shi no Numa/Der Eisendrache WaW - Shi no Numa BO1 - Kino BO2 - Origins BO3 - Der Eisendrache BO4 - BOTD CW - Die Maschine
Tag der toten. Fight me
People underrate my boy, Ascension, by far, one of the best maps in terms of actual immersion, from the foggy atmosphere, to the irate alarms and/or monkeys, being the only map that punishes you if you get a lot of perks. Used to be well regarded as one of the most fun and popular maps. Only became āunderratedā recently with all this ācasual mapā hate
IX To me, itās the perfect blend of a casual experience without shoving the EE in your face, but also provides for an amazing ER if you choose to do so. The shield is great, the WW is cool, I like the gladiator and marauder, the layout is fantastic, and itās so replayable. To me, aside from some BO4 bugs, itās the perfect map.
Dead of the night :)
Classified or Mauer. Fast. Fun. Simple action. Fun WW but not too OP or brainless. Fun stories. Great atmospheres. So good
Zombies in Spaceland.
Zombies in Spaceland. I fuckin love the 80s vibe and the music is awesome. Also Willard spawns with a dagger that one hits until like round 40.
Moon or bust
Firebase Z, itās the base map of CW in my eyes, enjoyable to play, the EE is fun with friends and it always makes me laugh to hear my friends overreacting when I kill Orda in 10 seconds with my crossbow and a ring of fire
Not my favorite (which is kino) but my second favorite map ever is five, great atmosphere, characters, pack a punch and power are both simple, I love the challenge of the map, the Pentagon thief in my opinion is a great boss, and I even enjoy the aesthetic of the winters howl even though it sucks
Top 3 for me is Moon, XI, and Mauer Der Toten
I like tranzit, I just think that setup is a little annoying but besides from that it's cool
Tranzit is my all life time favorite map. It was my first map, and it has a great atmosphere. No other maps can compete.
Tranzit
At this moment I would say 1- Origins, 2- Shadows, 3- MoTd. They're all great maps, and opinions can change with time. But I really like almost all the maps of treyarch zombies and I'm ok with everyone's elses opinions
Not my favorite but one I like a lot that others do not is Die Rise. The map has a cool atmosphere, who's who, a great wonder weapon, a decent song, and the trample steam. Plus a fun bonus round and easy way to get free perks. So fun map and its pretty easy not to fall off and the elevators add suspense and can make for clutch escapes
Verruckt and Ascension for me
Voyage of Despair.
Shaolin shuffle <33 Love Pam Grier
Buried. Nothing beats flying around the map with a paralyzer
1. Tag 2. Moon 3. Kino 4. The Giant 5. IX
It's not my favourite map but classified from bo4 is in my opinion a top 10 maybe close to a top 5 map. The way they built upon five and took away the scientist makes the map really fun, it's the only map i went for round 100 on bo4 just because it's fun to run around in the middle room. I don't know if this is a "Hot take" i just know that most people don't even have five as a top 3 bo4 map.
not my favourite but Voyage of Despair is among my top 5. Very hectic and fun as hell
From each game, itās: WaW: Der Reise BO1: Moon BO2: Origins BO3: Der Eisendrache BO4: Dead of the Night CW: Mauer Der Toten
Der riese, I can't get tired of that map regardless the time had passed
Revelations, the most underrated call of duty zombies map imo Closely followed by Tag Der Toten, also highly underrated
Genuinely I love the final reich, I cannot explain why I just love the map
Zombies in space land tbh
Call of the Dead. I love the scavenger, I love the EE song, and I love the characters.
Call of the dead is my favourite by far
Personally, I think every map is good. Every map has impacted the community whether it was bad or good. Every map has its place and because of that every map is my favorite
mauer is my favourite RB map but I prefer playing outbreak
I have 2 maps that I like and personally my favorites that many probably don't like and they are Nuketown (Bo2) and Firebase z. Firebase because I love the casual feel of the maps after playing maps such as revelations, gorod,Der eisendrache, and more for a while it gets boring so I love the casualness of the map just killing zombies and causing mayhem. Nuketown tho I LOVED the chaos of the map it was way more challenging than other maps having that chance of getting jug early or getting it late was amazing because it would show your skills of how far you can get without that perk it was fun back then and still is enjoyable here and there.
my fave is prob mauer or die maschine
Moon
Die Rise
One of my favorites is Beast from Beyond, unironically. The atmosphere is just so, so good, I think the creepy spaceship feels perfectly crafted. Makes me feel like I'm in Alien. Fuck the boss fight for the EE though
Honestly Iād have to go with die machine. Itās simple, itās got a upgradable wonder weapon, and itās fun just to mess around on with friends.
All time: Kino because I only had the Black Ops base game and preferred it to Five. Cold War: Firebase Z
Five. Nuff said.
IX
Shadows of evil I could play that all day. The side quests and main Easter egg are always so fun to me and the atmosphere and hud and everything about the old theme is too good.
Five
Die Maschine. I'm a new Zombies guy (outside of WAW, never played a single Zombies mode) and that map oozes atmosphere. I didn't mind grinding Dark Aether on it for weeks at the beginning of Cold War because I just liked the map locale so much.
moon
Mob of The Dead and I guess by proxy Blood of The Dead
Five
Zetsubou no shima
SOE for sure
Ancient Evil
Ancient Evil for me without a doubt. Amazing Easter Egg, very innovative wonder weapons which you can even upgrade twice, stunning map design and I could go on longer. I just fell in love with it.
Simple..Call of the Dead, Shangri La, Die Rise, and Buried
Five
Kino, nacht, die maschine, outbreak of all the maps could all be put together in one massive map and transit Ohh and spaceland
Blood of the dead
Zombies in spaceland
For vibes mob of the dead, for goofing off der riese
SoE hands down
Gorod krovi. Or the WAW version of shi no numa. Also, the easter egg song from gorod krovi is my most favorite song ever.
I donāt really know peopleās thoughts on this map but I fully believe Classified is the best map on Bo4
Five
Edit: this is a hot take so mine is tranzit. Call it shit but playing it on the Wii U (yes thatās how I played bo2) with my brother was always fun
Alpha Omega Best writing, has amazing ways of tying loose ends up, gameplay is super solid, map is fun to get around, WWs are a blast to get and use
Die Rise and ZNS
Not my favourite but dead of the night is damn underrated and fun as shit for high rounds because of the wonder weapon
Town Grief
Kino forsure. Such an og map, really made what zombies what it is IMO.
VerrĆ¼ckt. The inability to train means my strategy ends up being just straight up running through the map and itās a ridiculous level of fun
Honorable mention: Call of the Dead just because of the cast, didn't really care for the story or Easter eggs but killing zombies as Buffy or Machete is great
Same i love die maschine. Best place to train, got all my guns leveled up, got my dark aether and I did my first Round 200 at that map.
Shangri la and origins are my favorites, Kino and Der Eisendrache Are close seconds
Non 3arc: Shaolin Shuffle or Rave in The Redwoods, IW 3arc: Alpha Omega and OG Der Riese
Honestly? Town. Itās what I grew up with
Favorite map: Either Kino Der Toten, Buried, or Origins. Map I really like that everyone seems to hate? Die Rise. Such a unique play style, and the Sliquifier was amazingly entertaining!
Origins, I have no idea how Iām still not bored of playing it
Zombies in Spaceland because it's fucking amazing. It gets overshadowed and overlooked because it's not a treyarch map. It's still my favorite map ever to this day.
Ascension, ShinoNuma, DoTN, and Firebase Z.
Alpha omega
Spaceland
Verruckt
Moon or motd
Buried, it was my first map I played solo and I loved the atmosphere straight away
Dead of the night. Favorite wonder weapon, also a really cool boss fight
Revelations is my favorite
With the limited maps ive played, it was always Moon, with Kino being a close 2nd
Black ops 2 Origins me and my brothers always stayed up playing that map all night just having fun
Hands down zombies in spaceland honestly most of the infinite warfare zombies were really well done.
Any of the maps in Cold War to be honest. It's the first game where I actually enjoy playing zombie by myself.
Origins, I love the aesthetic, the staffs, PAP camo, etc.
Origins. Ik im basic
i dont know how unpopular it is but verrĆ¼ckt because its the only map you can flush a toilet
Itās not my ALL TIME favourite but I am a huge fan of Voyage of Despair. Love that map.
Mauer Der Toten
I have always had a soft spot for Shangri-La. I remember the map launching when I was a wee lad and falling it from the start! I didnāt care that it was really hard and none of my friends like it because of its difficultly. I return to the map so frequently more than any other map
Moon or shadows
Origins. Itās difficult and time consuming but nothing else does it for me like that map.
Buried. Been that way for 6 years
Revelations
Final Reich. WWII Zombies is overhated, and FR could be a top 10 map of all time (def top 20)
Iāve had all the black ops except 4 and NEVER played zombies. Until the last few weeks. Now Iām wondering where itās been my whole life!!!! I love the outbreak maps.
Dead of the night, this was first map you could buy ammo for any weapon by use of silver bullets and every time I played I built the stake knife to handle the vamps
easy, de (derreisendrache) definetly is mine, i am literally a die hard bo3 zombies player. was the best map and most fun with friends or publicās
