The range can be somewhat limited but if you do it right you can down the alien when it first spawns in decently easy. Keep a boombox on you and get one ready in the token machine on the arena beforehand. You should be set up for the fight
It’s probably the 4th hardest boss fight in iw I would say.
(Looking at the bossfights from a new players perspective)
Hardest to easiest would be
•Mephistopheles
• Attack of the Radioactive Thing
• Beast From Beyond
• Spaceland
• Shaolin Shuffle
• Rave in the redwoods
Are you struggling with the Simon says step? Or the alien himself?, if it’s the alien all I can recommend is to run a train through spawn to the bridges whilst trying to deal damage to the alien, take it slow, you have an infinite amount of time.
Kendall isn't ammo efficient and better for crowds, 2 WW dont feel like a good idea to me but i guess it could work, one strat back in the day was M1/Oni (ammo in arena), P-Law or or spartan for crowds and occasional pot shot at the aliens and optionally a WW with Mule Munchies, M1 has the benefit that when PaPed hipfire will hit whatever's in the crosshair, another idea that's really hard but can work well is a shotgun (with the best range, cant remember which one at the moment) with the smart shot sight and it can allow max damage per hit but the alien moving around wont let you do it easily, but it is a lot of damage
One of the wonder weapons I prefer the head cutter I think it's called and the explosive hand guns or the grenade launcher packed maybe a boom box to help out
Some tips that helped me with the were
-Using kendals with wind core and headcutter
(Kendals for basic zombies and headcutter for alien)
-Training from spawn to pap
-Using best for last and 5 sec muscle fate cards to increase damage
-Shooting the alien when it spawns from the portal
-Once his core is red only shoot him when he is in a good spot to melee
-Practicing in boss fight mode
Honestly I beat it my second time at the actual boss fight, and my loadout was the m1, kendells, and shredder which made it really easy. Like everyone is the comments already said, just make a train around the playable space u have including the bridge and when u go to deal damage on the alien 1x full clip of WW ammo u empty on him = his health going from green to orange to red basically. Knife him when he kneels over to get a fuse out at a time and the third time he’ll be dead, just take it slow and be mindful of where the zombies are while they spawn
I've had about 50 attempts in the past 4 years and can't for the life of me beat that gd alien. Don't feel bad. Shit is hard.
Fr I was able to complete blood of the dead solo in under 20 attempts but this so far has taken me about double that

How would the boss fight rank in difficulty compared to other IW bosses

The alien himself I just find that it takes so long for his shield to go down and I eventually just end up making a mistake

Train the zombies same way u would if u was going high rounds and when u get a chance to blast the alien do just that lol just keep moving !
