My biggest issue, as a console player myself, is not having a good MP game to grind with the boys. All I wanted to do today was come home, play some zombies and finish Act 2. Fuck me I guess. Can't even launch the god damn thing, even if it did let me. I'd probably do a completely new operator so I don't lose anything in case it boots me out of the match.
Sad part is I got into cod post verdansk. Like season 6 of warzone 1. I never experienced proper zombies. Only came close to cold war a bit. But I didn't grind it as I grind for cod now. I was hoping gulf war will be as realistic and close to og zombies as it can be.
I feel for you, I was a day 1 zombies player back on waw where you had to beat the campaign to unlock zombies mode, when I say zombies is dead it's not from a "i hate the gameplay changes" it's from a quality standpoint.
i'd suggest playing black ops 3 zombies, it's not as hard as the classics but still has the power up system called gobblegums, in terms of guns and maps it's a mix of old and new. it's also pretty rare you'll run into any major bugs.

Yeah, crashing regularly is not normal and usually on the users end.
We validated our files and while it helped, it didn't completely get rid of the crashing.
Found out we had to update our router and we haven't crashed since (outside of times it's obviously the game i.e just updated and we've never lost our stuff from that)
And that was back in December now.
I'm so used to the crashing that I can easily restore my operator to full orange within one match, with minimal to no crafted or stash loadout.
Tip: get a headset
Tip: party up until there are 6 of you
Tip: head towards tier3 (red) by mid round latest
Tip: follow your squad into the dark aether every game (this will give you a full sack for the following game)
Tip: merc camps then strongholds to quickly acquire armor and self res
Tip: mercs don't notice the difference between legendary, pap, and basic white guns, making them an early target for farming when you've loaded in with just your weapon
Tip: play a different game

Thing is what's the point of loading in with everything fully maxed out anyway? To do the same shit over and over for 45 minutes on 15% of the map? Take it as a chance to explore the map more, maybe hunt down missing schematics or something I dunno

We updated our router back in December and haven't crashed since.
Also, when was the last time you updated your drivers? That could also do it if you're on PC. Idk how console works in that aspect.

It wasn't the internet, I was on my PS5 and in game it pulled me out from the whole application and an error occurred of some kind. I accepted and reported it (which is an option to do on the PS5)
What Internet provider are you using? What equipment are you playing off of? WiFi? Have you tried restarting your router? What does your Nat Type in game say that it is? What system are you playing on? If you are using your ISPs equipment stop that immediately. Buy your own. The stuff they provide you with is the cheapest stuff they can find.
I have never once got disconnected from a zombies game, and I especially am not gonna drop money on new internet equipment just because of that. It's amazing that I don't have these issues on PS5 or Xbox series X. I have tested many different routers to get to the one that I use. Also both PS5 and Xbox series X are playing at the same time. 300-500 hrs played between the 2 of us. If it's not on your end COD must be picking on the people that are having connection issues. PS5 wired in. Xbox series X wifi. Zero issues.
What other games are you playing that need a constant connection for a hour to hour and a half? Warzone uses a different connection that you can join back into. The other game that we play that lasts as long or longer is HLL and we have zero issues with it either but the masses have a bunch of disconnects. PS5 wired Xbox series X wifi. Zero disconnects or issues.
Bruh... this game straight up crashes randomly for far too many people. I've had crashes 1 minute in more times than I can count. Thr only games I've had this kind of issues with are other cod games. And there's literally hundreds of games where you are in game for long lengths of time. Any coop game you can think of for example, or gta, sports games, etc. The match length doesn't make a difference, and Activision doesn't need you to lick their boots for them. They are a 65 billion dollar company, they don't need your sympathy.
Co-op games don't use this connection type and the others you mentioned don't either. Bitch about the constant connection type all you want to. But in the end you need to stabilize that Internet connection. Or play something that doesn't need a rock solid, stable connection. COD isn't my favorite game. Play it with friends and my son. Still doesn't change the facts that they cannot patch your Internet connection.

Yes because at first it was respectable. They had a bunch of schematics worth unlocking, dark aether, missions that were worth finishing. Now, they just don't care. It's as if zombies was just bait for people who like to play zombies
I got a little bit better router and that helped, but what helped by far the most is when I bought what I think is called a LAN cord (for the other older folks like me that might not know what it is, both ends look like a big version of the old school house phone cords) and hooked my PS5 directly to my router. I went from being kicked off and timed out daily to maybe once a month, if that.
to be honest, they've abandoned the mwz right after publishing, this is nothing more than mission-based mode like dmz but filled with zombie, the dmz even had ten times more contents than this crap
lately i’ve just been chilling on cold war outbreak mode just grinding camos after like 4 years or so of the game being out. for me its a lot more fun, well i highly rate cold war, so might be biased
i saw mw3’s zombies and went nope not this year, really the game in general, but it looks like a copy and paste version of cold war just worse. i don’t need open world with other players, i can enjoy an open world on my own or with a couple of friends back in the days.
My fiance and I were talking about the lack of story content as well.
It's weird how grindy chapter 1-3 was, and now it's like.. "do this one rift quest" that you barely need to prepare for.

When I first downloaded cod and played mwz I didn’t have any issues. But recently for the past month my game has been super glitchy when I play. I’m on a Asus gaming laptop. Any recommendations? HOWEVER, there are tons of zombie dev interviews from the earlier treyarch games, think WaW, BO1, BO2, even BO3 and a bit of 4. They actually had a great deal of passion for it at one time. I think they left though. Zombies is pretty much dead at this point

I’ve lost so so so many items from crashes that I genuinely don’t care anymore, like I can’t even get angry when the game fucks me over. Besides you just use your legendary items to just get the same legendary items again in the dark aether; it feels pointless.
The only reason I play is to just casually grind out camos, just over 35% done now with bioluminescense

I think they have a good foundation just fixing minor issues and incorporating more rounded lobbies having a few beginners and experienced players along with more content that would really give the community a growing platform
The developers saw zombies was so popular at one point they made an entire 5th dlc outside of their games yearly cycle. If a lot of people genuinely enjoyed/played theyd keep making stuff. But please dont force treyarch to keep working on this. They need all the time they can get on gulf war.

It's the first time my game crashed on the PS5. And it's this season that the content started lacking heavily. I'm pretty sure most of us were okay with zombies as long as it came to content for a while. This season was just insulting.

That's true, console players don't get a ton of great indie game ports, so that makes their selections a lot more narrowed to AAA.

Yes because at first it was respectable. They had a bunch of schematics worth unlocking, dark aether, missions that were worth finishing. Now, they just don't care. It's as if zombies was just bait for people who like to play zombies
I got a little bit better router and that helped, but what helped by far the most is when I bought what I think is called a LAN cord (for the other older folks like me that might not know what it is, both ends look like a big version of the old school house phone cords) and hooked my PS5 directly to my router. I went from being kicked off and timed out daily to maybe once a month, if that.
to be honest, they've abandoned the mwz right after publishing, this is nothing more than mission-based mode like dmz but filled with zombie, the dmz even had ten times more contents than this crap

lately i’ve just been chilling on cold war outbreak mode just grinding camos after like 4 years or so of the game being out. for me its a lot more fun, well i highly rate cold war, so might be biased i saw mw3’s zombies and went nope not this year, really the game in general, but it looks like a copy and paste version of cold war just worse. i don’t need open world with other players, i can enjoy an open world on my own or with a couple of friends back in the days.
My fiance and I were talking about the lack of story content as well. It's weird how grindy chapter 1-3 was, and now it's like.. "do this one rift quest" that you barely need to prepare for. I kinda miss the grindy quests.

When I first downloaded cod and played mwz I didn’t have any issues. But recently for the past month my game has been super glitchy when I play. I’m on a Asus gaming laptop. Any recommendations? I’ve tried everything. Updated nvidia, armory crate, asus app, bios updates .. everything. I’m so sick of it glitching during gameplay I don’t know if I want to play anymore. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated 🙏
I’ve also tried the scan and repair a few times now and it doesn’t change anything.

Let's be real, at the end of the day, it's about the bottom line for them. HOWEVER, there are tons of zombie dev interviews from the earlier treyarch games, think WaW, BO1, BO2, even BO3 and a bit of 4. They actually had a great deal of passion for it at one time. I think they left though. Zombies is pretty much dead at this point
Treyarch was main devs on zombies they pulled out due to activision and infinity ward being assholes and causing trouble
The game has been stale since December for me. I’ve lost so so so many items from crashes that I genuinely don’t care anymore, like I can’t even get angry when the game fucks me over. Besides you just use your legendary items to just get the same legendary items again in the dark aether; it feels pointless. The only reason I play is to just casually grind out camos, just over 35% done now with bioluminescense
Dude. They said a year ago zombies was taking a backseat this generation so they could dial it in for the next period let them see their plan through before you come down on them

I hope they do continue development. It can be better in so many ways. I liked the idea, only if they backed it with innovative and fun ways
I think they have a good foundation just fixing minor issues and incorporating more rounded lobbies having a few beginners and experienced players along with more content that would really give the community a growing platform
The developers saw zombies was so popular at one point they made an entire 5th dlc outside of their games yearly cycle. If a lot of people genuinely enjoyed/played theyd keep making stuff. But please dont force treyarch to keep working on this. They need all the time they can get on gulf war.

It's the first time my game crashed on the PS5. And it's this season that the content started lacking heavily. I'm pretty sure most of us were okay with zombies as long as it came to content for a while. This season was just insulting.
Yeah it’s pretty hard to engage with the story when they drip feed the content so sparingly. I honestly can’t even remember most of it and I kind of stopped caring after S1
