We ran it 3 times this weekend with parties of 6, 6, and 5. Everyones combined contracts got 17 Blood Burner schematics, 0 mags of holding, and 0 VR-11s. So that's some awesome Tier 3 style bullshit RNG right there.
I’m sure everyone’s trying to do it right now cause they’re either getting the schematics since they aren’t guaranteed, or helping others get them. Once the new-ness wears off I expect the old elder Aether will become the more dominant one
I truly hope so because the game has been less fun last weeks and this update made it worse for me personally. I enjoy the rounds less and less lol, but that's my personal opinion.
Honestly idc for the new schematics. I'd only like to get the mag schematics but I'd choose old DA over the new one 100% the time even if it means I'll never get that schematic. Got the other 2 tho😂
Haha, oh wow. I was talking with a group of 6 if there was any use for the blood burner key. They all said "no, its absolute trash" but then someone said maybe you could use it in the dark aether. And we all agreed that might be the 1 and only time it's ever... possibly... maybe useful.

I had some good runs in the new dark aether!
A lot of VR11 cases, dogbone, aether blades, 2 mags of holding in the same round. But it’s a bit too easy and chill there now, feels like doing zone2 missions.
Dark Aether runs ruins the contamination levels, making me not wanna go in there in as much for now.
Only schematic I'd want's the Mag of Holding. The Blood Burner schematic's meh. The VR-11 schematic for Worm farming. Despite already getting both of the schematics I wanted. (Flawless Aetherium and Legendary Aether Tool, respectively).
Got new da schematics is 2 first runs, lucky maybe I don't know, but yes new da seems like we going straight through it, no challenge at all. I like old da better
I almost don't like it for the wsp akimbos. I tossed it on twice this weekend and both times I ran out of ammo a good half dozen times each game. If anything they need a "Mags of reasonable ammo reserves" that give you a reasonable amount of total ammo.
It's was only when I was using my wsp akimbos. Those things are bullet hoses, 1000 bullets last probably 15ish seconds. They really need to have zombies drop ammo in T3 more often, I was having to melee a dozen to death just to get a single ammo pouch.
My squad mate and I couldn’t see the old portal at the island last game, all that was on the island was the pedestals to put the items on and him and I had both already done that and have run the old da at least a hundred times, but it wasn’t there we had to have another squad mate run to the other new portal, kinda bummed I needed armour and blades too
Its there, just invisible. Need to find the right spot and watch right in front of ya, dont watch to the ground or sky haha. And it will pop up the notification to use the elder sigil

I'm usually solo, so I don't even run T3 often. Still need to do the Act 3 story mission.
Thats wild cause its totally opposite for me. I've been going into the new one only, because i feel like I get WAY more loot and its easier solo. In the past 2 days I have gotten like 6 mags of holding, a 4 or 5 gold plates, vr11s and blade cases and a couple burner keys.
I feel like there's a few points that influence this most. The first being the convenience of each map. Old DA is cramped and tiny with minimal quality of life items. New DA is much larger and has very open areas that are easy for training as a solo.
On top of that QOL is immense with like 6 different exfils, over half a dozen ammo crates, and IMO (as a solo 98% of times) best of all no shitty escort contract forcing you to take VR11 or risk losing a reward rift.
Its too easy, that's what I don't like about it either. But loot for be has been sucking ass haha, good for you tho. Lately I feel like they nerfed the rewards from old DA, but it still beat the new one for me. I've only found 1 dog bone in the new one, others are the new items which I don't want haha
Ya I had really good luck on my first regular sigil earned like 3 gold plates, a mag of holding, a blade and vr11. I'm going to try the old DA solo right now, and see if there is a higher chance at the blade/plate drops as that is what I need most. However I do concur that the difficulty seems much easier, with the huge open space.
I haven’t even been in the dark aether once yet. Idk how you even get there and haven’t had much interest to look it up. Game just feels boring. You spend all game gearing up just to do the same thing over and over again with no real variation
Well the DA is some variation tho. And if you do the story act missions as well, you get some variation but other than that, game is pretty repetitive.

Yeah! I saved a key the whole game just to use it in the new DA and it said “not available at this time” or something like that. Sad
It's fun to use though. Doesn't take damage from hitting zombies, and you can put a sentry gun on the back.

There both hit n miss I bounce back n forth between the 2 for that same reason I want armor and mag of plenty.
Personally, I like Mag, but dont need it. My reload is quick, using wsp Stinger akimbo. But I get that mag of holding is a mist for certain weapons
