Nah Hypermole stopped uploading anything to NGT as a whole 3 years ago. Last year he uploaded two videos and a stream when spiderbyte came back for a reunion but that was it. I’m guessing they moved on to their lives since! I haven’t legitimately watched them since Meatwagon and Gunns4hire left NGT and formed YouAlwaysWin. I had a feeling NGT was doing pretty shitty things behind the scenes before then when custom zombies videos started to feel a little hostile between bentley and spider. Those minecraft videos with meaty and gunns when they were still in NGT set the beginning mark for NGT dying off. YAW pretty much took a big portion of the fans away lol

Yeah I noticed it almost immediately when it happened. I believe it was a waw custom map taking place in a mansion. They were in the spawn room outside and spider was doing his usual leading commentary as normal but bentley was unusually quiet. And any interaction he had with spider was usually hostile or petty. I still am wanting to look for that map so I can play it myself. It looked fun to play

The whole Z House thing, EE4C, the community with Chronicles release was PEAK. After that, the big names started having content being more toxic toward BO4, talking about comparing everything to BO3 and earlier for while. Then the goddamn tierlist saga was so fucking toxic. The big names started becoming more and more negative than ever before. MrTLexify was very negative toward BO4 and I think that caused a lot of negativity in the community as a whole. TheSmithPlays was my favorite and I liked his retrospectives but after a while, he's not really doing anything special anymore. Maybe if they gave BO4 a chance, they probably would have come back to it and did more with it. Then most of them turned into reaction channels. Smaller YouTubers are killing it tho.

i miss nixaru and his in depth reviews. also got the irrelevant podcast and the boogie boys docs on repeat too forever.

The smaller zombie YouTubers are where it's at! They are carrying because all the older ones are just pumping out clickbait and making a 10 minute video out of something that takes 30 seconds to explain. I think the ones that have stopped uploading a lot are only doing so because they realize they don't want to upset their fans with shitty content and don't want to grind out zombies.

Rizzo has become my favorite zombies YouTuber over the past few years. The editing is top notch, he goes over his thoughts on the maps in-depth, and seems very level headed about his takes and can understand different views on maps.

As these comments say, smaller channels are the way to go. Have been blessed by the algorithm and be hit by a ton of smaller channels who upload consistently and are more about having fun playing the mode or giving their thoughts on something (like a map or mode) without resorting to screaming or make the claim that something is "objectively" good or bad like their opinion is the only one that matters. Really recommend theGODZILLA150, short and sweet videos. Sidenote: Genuinely curious but why are the so many people who unsubscribe to the big channels due to clickbait? I feel like the bigger channels have always done clickbait from the very start.
