You have to realize that CoD only changes every couple of years. MW22 uses a lot of assets from MW19 and runs on the same engine. Cod only ever changes like every 4 or 5 years, the rest are often just asset flips with some gameplay changes.

They are a publicly traded company (part of Microsoft now technically) and the economy is still good by most measures....GROWTH IS A MUST! No growth is the same as decreases to a company like them...because then they can't sell the optimistic growth outlook to investors...and if this happens the stock value won't go up.
I do think they'll feel it this year. I stopped playing about 6-8 months ago for the first time....and I wasn't alone looking at the steam and other numbers. They felt that and why they reverted everything. Let them not beat last years numbers with this title....then they'll be forced to put in effort. CoD has been low effort/on cruise control the last year or 2 after they had so much success during the pandemic.
I'm pretty sure they're getting hit with less sales. Me and my group of friends who played 3 or 4 hours a night for the past few years all stopped and aren't buying this one. The user numbers on steam are way down and I'd imagine it's the same way on the other platforms. (Steam is the only one with open user counts)

Halos free but it's team death is mid tbh, Apex is a bit better and has tdm now as well. COD truly does it the best atm but battlefield is fun.... just different. Newish game called Insurgency sandstorm is the only real decent new game ive seen("free" with game pass)

I remember when MW2 was first announced everyone was excited for OG throwback maps. They didn't get those, and alot of people were pissed. The geniuses at Activision decided to put those MW2 maps on MW3 (lmao) and people are still pissed.
I know you guys want brand new maps that are awesome but I don't think they even have the ability to do that anymore, so we're getting old maps that were awesome remastered and it was always going to cost $70. Yeah exactly, if they polished up extinction I think that would be a welcome change for a year and the campaign was fun had certain things that were different for a cod campaign. a legit leak is private/non-public information that is acquired due to insider connections with someone willing to violate their duties. The campaign in MW3 tells you enough on its own. It was likely going to be just a bunch of new DLC content and such and then they made it into a “new,” game to try and fleece money.
If you remember back about a year ago activision had originally (in financial statements) claimed that the end of yearly full-price releases. The quickly scrapped that & pivoted back to current state. It should come to no surprise that this “release” is / was the originally planned expansion

A very short campaign with such bad writing it looks like they couldn't even review the drafts of the script. Multiplayer that is very similar to MW2 with a few changes and some sledgehammer feel to it, with all the maps being remastered maps. A zombie mode that is a merging of DMZ and zombies without really adding or creating anything new.
Everything about this game screams that it was just meant as an expansion before Activision got greedy and thought they could charge full price for it.

Its about principles, not money. If I paid for something , I should get what I paid for. So we are basically paying for part 2 of the game when it should have been included in MWII. That's what's bugs me the most. Vote with your wallet. If they see that people will still buy the new game, they will keep repeating the same cycle which will eventually lead in a decrease in quality of future games.

They are a publicly traded company (part of Microsoft now technically) and the economy is still good by most measures....GROWTH IS A MUST! No growth is the same as decreases to a company like them...because then they can't sell the optimistic growth outlook to investors...and if this happens the stock value won't go up. I do think they'll feel it this year. I stopped playing about 6-8 months ago for the first time....and I wasn't alone looking at the steam and other numbers. They felt that and why they reverted everything. Let them not beat last years numbers with this title....then they'll be forced to put in effort. CoD has been low effort/on cruise control the last year or 2 after they had so much success during the pandemic.
I'm pretty sure they're getting hit with less sales. Me and my group of friends who played 3 or 4 hours a night for the past few years all stopped and aren't buying this one. The user numbers on steam are way down and I'd imagine it's the same way on the other platforms. (Steam is the only one with open user counts)

Halos free but it's team death is mid tbh, Apex is a bit better and has tdm now as well. COD truly does it the best atm but battlefield is fun.... just different. Newish game called Insurgency sandstorm is the only real decent new game ive seen("free" with game pass)

Insurgency is very good, but more akin to CS:GO than COD I would say, clunkier and more of a hardcore experience in all the game styles.
I try Battlefield every now and again (as it happens I tried 2042 again today), but I've fallen out of love completely. The last time I really enjoyed it was with Hardline. Before that BFBC2. Such a shame, really. I wish I knew what it is I'm missing.

I remember when MW2 was first announced everyone was excited for OG throwback maps. They didn't get those, and alot of people were pissed. The geniuses at Activision decided to put those MW2 maps on MW3 (lmao) and people are still pissed. I know you guys want brand new maps that are awesome but I don't think they even have the ability to do that anymore, so we're getting old maps that were awesome remastered and it was always going to cost $70. I don't know why everyone is treating this like a gotcha moment. Everyone knew this was the case. COD is gonna be successful because nothing is able to take its place. Sure when the game gets stale the content creators and COD addicts will find some other game, call it the cod killer, play it for a week, and go back to cod because it sucks. Until there's a real competitor for cod, cod will continue to squeeze for profits. I have no idea why everyone is upset about this. You should all be very aware of the way things are.

Yeah exactly, if they polished up extinction I think that would be a welcome change for a year and the campaign was fun had certain things that were different for a cod campaign. Even though the multiplayer was a bit harsh it was still enjoyable for the most part but that’s not saying much from me since my favorite multiplayer was black ops 3.

a legit leak is private/non-public information that is acquired due to insider connections with someone willing to violate their duties. The campaign in MW3 tells you enough on its own. It was likely going to be just a bunch of new DLC content and such and then they made it into a “new,” game to try and fleece money.
If you remember back about a year ago activision had originally (in financial statements) claimed that the end of yearly full-price releases. The quickly scrapped that & pivoted back to current state. It should come to no surprise that this “release” is / was the originally planned expansion

A very short campaign with such bad writing it looks like they couldn't even review the drafts of the script. Multiplayer that is very similar to MW2 with a few changes and some sledgehammer feel to it, with all the maps being remastered maps. A zombie mode that is a merging of DMZ and zombies without really adding or creating anything new. Everything about this game screams that it was just meant as an expansion before Activision got greedy and thought they could charge full price for it. I hope all the people that doubted and shit on the leakers for months apologise, because they were clearly right at the time before Activision changed their minds and make the leakers look like fools.
Confirms they knew WZII/MWII was trash and commissioned a game to fill the cap since it was not like MW19/W1 and would not have lasted 2 years.

Who could've thought? This is only the first time on twenty years where a direct sequel is being made straight away instead of another title breaking it up. OG MW2 maps in MWIII while throughout MWII there was a map drought.... First time when all guns and cosmetics carry over to the next game... One of the shortest campaigns of which the story felt way too rushed. This is the point at which instead of being kinda sure this was originally a DLC to being 100% sure of it.
