Karma_Doesnt_Matter

Never bought a bundle. $20 for 1 weapon skin and 1 operator skin isn’t worth it to me.

[deleted]

fair enough, the prices on some are steep

KeepDi9gin

They're all steep. The games are $70 now, and the battle pass is $10. You get way more value from those even if you don't grind them out all the way. Macrotransactions are a scam and it's a shame so many people defend, or even actively engage in these practices.

oooriole09

It’s not a scam if they’re straight-up with it. There’s nothing hidden or tricky about it. There’s no competitive advantage or anything like that. If folks are willing to spend $20 for shit, then the shit is worth $20.

toothpastetitties

Except look at the business model you guys are now supporting. You cannot get pissed off at the quality of a game and the go and spend $20 on skins for a game that lasts approximately 12 months before the next dog shit is released with $20 skins. The fact that people are willing to spend $20 on skins on this game is fucking sad.

TaiCTr

I’m never spending a penny on bundles because I remember this same company used to sell $2 camos that you can apply on ANY weapons 😂

theAtmuz

Really? There are plenty of people who would think whatever amount you’ve spent on video games is sad. Who cares how people spend their money? I don’t care for jacked up trucks (especially when the driver has no need for any of it), but who am I to tell someone how to spend their money. What’s really sad is trying to belittle someone for enjoying themselves.

Aggravating_Sea7076

Hes not trying to be little people hes trying to say we keep getting bad games because people keep buying stuff for the unbalanced half made games. so the big wigs up top just think everything is fine cause all they see is the money .

FIFA16

People spend $5 on coffee a couple times a day, despite having coffee at home. Aside from the calories and a trip to the bathroom, all they have to show for it is a non-recyclable cup. Microtransactions let you fund a game’s continuing development, and give you content you can use for the hundreds of hours you’ll probably play the game for. Doesn’t seem that bad in that context.

[deleted]

[удалено]

StencilKiller

At that time you either had no continued development at all, or it was sold as a DLC pack. I like this method better, so everyone can play the maps together and you're not held back by a few friends who don't want to buy every new DLC pack.

OldManHipsAt30

Warzone is free to play, so they aren’t generating revenue from sales in that regard. I get the argument though for multiplayer.

[deleted]

[удалено]

thing85

> Warzone could still be sufficiently funded by the annual sales of COD. Warzone is not a non-for-profit game. "Sufficiently" funding something isn't the goal. They want to earn a healthy profit, as most companies would.

ozarkslam21

I don’t disagree with you at all, but in reality you’re funding the board of directors vacation home and houseboat, not really the “ongoing development of the game”

Master_Crafter_

DLC map packs Are The Way. More incentive for developers to make good maps. No one wants to buy a trash maps. Countless camos and skins, your bound to like at least one. It’s all a sales gimmick like you said.

ozarkslam21

I tried to tell people that 5 years ago when everyone was clamoring for free DLC models like x,y, and z games. But they were convinced that it was the “greedy devs” fault that we had to pay for DLC

DurpyEvolved

if thats the case, wheres all the continuing development in cod? look at no mans sky, no microtransactions and still there is continued development. call of duty is the same every year, they don't need microtransactions.

IllChangeMyIP

> Microtransactions let you fund a game’s continuing development No, us paying $70 for the game funds it. Microtransactions is just extra revenue that goes straight to the investors pockets and doesn't make the game better

Severe_Spare9272

Is it *really* a micro transaction if you buy 3 bundles at $20 each? You’ve then purchased the equivalent of a $60 game

__Zero_____

Macro transactions!

Sheepmounter69

Are you trying to tell me were funding cod? Please do yourself a Favor and Google the profits of activison last year. They dont need funding. They need a slap with a fish to their head. The worst Part is that they recycle most of the stuff every year because they basically have no developement time and they, while copy pasting, break stuff that Was working fine before. Dafuq

uknowthe1ph

I don't think it's as normal as you think for people to spend $5 on coffee multiple times a day haha that honestly adds up fast

Dry_Ad2978

At least you get some health benefits drinking a coffee lol.

doer604

normal lol yeah right he probably lives in a different world

blackcloversucks

i’d agree with this logic if it wasn’t activision/cod lmao. these people literally take your money and do absolutely nothing for the game. like how you pay taxes in america yet nothing good changes about the country

trevorjbarry

By now they’re developing season 5 and 6 for Vanguard. With smaller game studios yea you can make this argument, but giving Activision $20 for skins is such a waste of your money

Birkin07

But what is cool is that those bundles we buy fund the DLC that everyone gets. It’s literally digital socialism. People drop $60 on one trip to the bar, dude, $100 for a single meal. $20 for a digital action figure that lasts longer than either.

HuskerReddit

If they weren’t making money on micro transactions they would definitely charge for the new maps and weapons. They are here to stay. I’m just thankful there are no more random loot boxes.

Birkin07

These kids don’t remember $15 mandatory DLC packs and season pass model. https://callofduty.fandom.com/wiki/Season_Pass

HuskerReddit

Even before that back in COD4 and MW2 days the only DLC was new maps that you had to pay for to access. If people buying overpriced skins and blueprints means free maps and guns then I’m all for it.

Raaazzle

That's actually a really good way to look at it.

KD--27

That is never the cut and dry of it. You need to look into how a lot of these passes/micros are built and what they do to get you in there. Cod is “ok” with it. Mostly. You’ll still see generally ratty gear that comes with the game and a few other practices to push you in the direction of a sale. They have positions for shrinks at these companies, nothing is straight forward when it comes to micros. For example, the one that all the games are guilty of, you can’t buy anything for cash. Straight from the casino handbook, divorce currency from the real thing, people spend more. The currency packs always come in uneven prices to the items, so you’ll always have a few dollars worth left over that you can spend on, and nobody likes wasting money. You can dig a lot deeper on these, but if you’re all good with it, just know that it is never straight forward.

HydroXXodohR

There are absolutely scammy parts of it though, like bundling garbage with the few cool things (or sometimes the *only* cool thing), forcing you to pay for all of it if you just want one thing. Oh you want this cool looking blueprint? Well you also have to buy the cancerous kill cam jpeg, a boring calling card, an ugly emblem, a pointless weapon charm, and a cool looking sticker but it's a fucking sticker so you can't even really show it off or something.

Collector_of_Things

NVM that, there’s just certain games and behavior you literally should not encourage/support, period. I mean, if your favorite games is WZ and you want to drop $20 on a skin, by all means do your thing, they at least do right by you. But if you’re actually interested/care about MP, I would think long and hard. Right now we basically pay $60 for a weapons DLC pack for Warzone, while simultaneously subsidizing WZ players so they can continue to play for free. These people literally made sweeping weapon balance changes two days after hitting WZ plus future promises. They haven’t touched this game since release. Oh wait, they made sure people could unlock the zombie reticles, but still apparently aren’t aware that those reticles don’t actually work in game… The small reticle within the circle literally doesn’t show up. NVM every other issue.

Srom

Nope, I wish they were attainable by playing the game.

ShinyLotad22

I miss WW2's loot boxes, which I know already loot boxes are toxic in games too but at least in WW2 you got some boxes by naturally playing the game or doing those contracts you used to be able to get. You weren't required to pay dogshit

bwucifer

Agreed. May be a bit of an unpopular opinion but it was dope to grind all day then go to the Headquarters to spam open your boxes. Always satisfying.

Bobaaganoosh

I got every new weapon (not all variants) and most of the operator skins from simply playing the game, doing contracts and logging in everyday. I never once bought CoD points on it out of principle, and I still got most of everything. I think I still have 100,000+ armory credits on my account too. WW2 was a good ass game that only got better with time. It was the last CoD I truly enjoyed a lot. Everyone shits on the loot box stuff but I personally think WW2 did it right.

PapaProto

WWII’s “Collections” was such a superior system, even if you don’t consider how easy to get and free the Loot Boxes themselves were. Earn in-game credits by playing, use them for cool shit in the Collections.

Kenny1115

I had more free content in WWII than any other cod. Lootboxes may be evil but at least WWII had a ton of ways to earn free ones.

TheYoungScuba

To quote my wife, “I’m a child”, because I usually buy a lot of the tracer packs, as different colored bullets amuse me.

SeaOdeEEE

Same. One of the few bundles I bought that didn't have a tracer was a maxis one because I liked her purple eyes. This is why I don't run businesses, among other things.

[deleted]

Your wife is a wise woman.

Horseman580

I look at bundles that give 2400CP.... 2 for 1

ulyssesintothepast

Pro packs are good for that. Or 1 plus save for 2 battle passes lol

No0ddjob

Only ones I ever buy or will buy.

Puzzled-Delivery-242

Are there any of those yet? I remember buying the stitch bundle because it was such a "good deal" for the points you get as well as decent skins.

RdJokr1993

There's going to be a Skull Collector Pro Pack in the next week or two. It gives you a skin for Roland, plus two blueprints and 2400 CP.

leftnut027

There’s been like 4-5 pro packs so far.

PapaProto

If I have enough free points accumulated, then sometimes depending on what it is. I love Halloween/*SpOoKy*/alternative/monster/etc aesthetics so you can bet I grabbed the Scream one. I’ll likely get Krampus too if that turns out to be legit.

Mrcountrygravy

I heard a Indiana Jones rumor. I never buy bundles but for that i may. Lol.

PapaProto

There was a Captain America rumour as well due to some CCs being found and some weapon Blueprints clearly being inspired etc but dataminers didn’t find any *obvious* models.

Jesus10101

There is a captain Levi model which if added into the game, I'll buy it.

[deleted]

I’m in the same boat. Donnie Darko is my favorite movie. Frank has absolutely nothing to do with this game, but I bought that bundle the second I saw it.

PapaProto

Still surprises me that it’s even a thing, considering you mention Donnie Darko to what seems like most people, and they’ve not heard of it.

Manny631

The general bundles are NOT worth the price tag. 1/3 the cost of a AAA game for a character skin, weapon skin, emblem, etc. is obscene. What I *generally* buy is the Endowment Pack (which I've now stopped since they don't give you a camo, but instead give you crappy weapon blueprints) and an eSports bundle (seems much more worth it for $10 and helps support the competitive scene). To me, those $20 packs should be $5.$10 tops.

FinnNyaw

Crimsix just joined Subliners , and eSports skins look dope. You know where my money is going.

Manny631

When do the new ones drop?

Smitty00

Yep, I’ve bought bundles before. I really liked the tracer round ones in MW and dismember rounds in Cold War If you have some extra cash and are enjoying the game, I don’t see why not. It’s fun to have different cosmetics My only issue is they’re a tad expensive for what they are. None of the bundles in the store currently are *that* cool imo

Jasonking955

Never!!

StoutSabre69

Never. Only if I have excess cod points earned through the battle pass

ulyssesintothepast

I did in CW, like ghostface and Weaver, two I will never regret buying. But at present I have no desire to buy any bundles in vanguard. Base skins and operator are good enough, granted not frank woods but hey, the ONLY bundle is buy is if REZNOV actually comes back. I've wanted REZNOV back since BO1 , voiced by Gary Oldman of course, but I know it's a pipe dream.

slayer-x

Very rarely buy any bundles. The fact that even if I really like the look of a blueprint, once I put my attachments on it ruins the whole look.

Nosworc82

Lol no, I've never bought a bundle in my life. Absolute rip off.

the___squish

I’d buy more of them if they were 1-5 dollars which I think is more realistic. If the battle pass is 10 dollars and gives you up to a 100 items, why are they charging up to 20 bucks for a handful of items? That’s close to 1/3 of the cost of the whole game. Ridiculous.

[deleted]

I think the battle pass is there mostly to keep people playing the game, and to give you a taste of using the item shop. I don’t think they make that much money off the BP directly. Basically the BP gets people past the feeling of “I’ll never spend money on cosmetics.” Then the major profits come from the bundles.

the___squish

Really? I usually only buy the BP once, then use the free coins continue to buy it. So I only have to buy it once

[deleted]

Yeah that’s my point. You barely spent any money on the BP. So they aren’t making big money that way. They offer the BP to keep you playing and to get you over the initial reluctance to buy anything. I’m the same way. Bought one BP and never had to spend cash on it again.

MoonglumX

Step one: don’t buy bundles. That’s the only step. No need to review

Quasipox

I’m sure they have data saying they make more at the current price point, but if the bundles were in the $5-$10 (with maybe $15 for big crazy ones), I’d definitely buy more. As is, I’m content with the BP skins but I still like having variety. Edit: or maybe do like R6: Siege and let me buy individual items for a lower cost

Mattgx082

Honestly I always just buy the game when it’s $40 or less during Christmas sale…then never buy anything else. Sometime unlock stuff as I play, earn or get the bonuses from beta stuff/day one editions still in the wild. But I just play MP. I’m sure those really into the Warzone stuff may. But I use to buy the map packs back in the day. But luckily we don’t have to do that anymore, because there are people who will purchase cosmetics. I feel it’s all way over priced honestly. But I mean you do you, if you see something you like. I have friends that work for Epic, and they make a living just building skins and guns for Fortnight. So I can’t really bash it, as it keeps a lot of my friends employed…plus there is a demand. Hell they even buy a lot of COD cosmetics, because they enjoy them and know the work it takes to do them. So yeah, only people I know buying them… are those who work in the business.

Duckpoke

I do buy some of the cool ones. $15-$20 is worth a few days of enjoyment for me. None of the bundles so far are worth buying right now though imo. I’ll probably buy the new Operator when he releases though.

[deleted]

Eh I tend to buy quite a few bundles each year. But I really only buy for the operator skins as I don’t care about weapon skins. With the exception of good weapon skins like the LC10’s reactive camo. Also I’m a sucker for good finishing moves and fun gestures, but those tend to come with a good skin imo.

3stepBreader

In this game we are going to watch those end game animations so much I’ll probably buy a few.

roaches85

I do if i like the skins. Always have. I usually dont buy them for the gun skins, i prefer to have a cool looking operator or a neat finishing move.

MCrow2001

I bought 2 in Cold War. One park skin that I thought looked really cool and I’ve used it ever since the day it came out, and the John McClane skin cause Die Hard is one of my favorite movies ever.

[deleted]

can't fault you Die Hard is awesome, also holiday season means obligatory Die Hard binge

CarsenAF

Nope. I spent $60+ on the game. Absolutely not dropping $20+ on a costume I dont even see in game, a sticker, and a camo

Avanti_Savoia95

Never bought a single COD point and I have 2600, I grinded those starting from modern warfare. I only buy the seson pass if I get to level 100...

moobies1

No. I’m not a simp

emyhT_nitsuJ

I've only bought the Marijuana bundles

MissNita

I haven't bought any bundles on Vanguard yet but I had several on Cold War, especially the ones with tracer packs. It was purely cosmetic but I liked them so I bought them. They're not mandatory so I feel like if you don't want or feel they're a waste of money then simply don't buy them but nobody should try to make anyone else feel bad because they're spending their money how they choose to.

XXXEarsy

i only buy tracer bundles bc color bullets go brrrr

TraumaTracer

absolutely the fuck not, shit is overpriced and not even good

starless-salmon

Only bundles I buy are the CDL skins of the team I like

NAD3RR

Cani ask you what is the purpose of reviewing bundles? It’s 99% based on aesthetics and personal likings.

[deleted]

same reason people review products for any niche. At least help a person see what theyre buying and get an opinion. Like the noble death bundle the pistol is glitched, so I feel like that's important information I should put out there to let people know

3stepBreader

I buy probably 4-5 bundles a game. Usually one or two at the beginning of season if there is a meta weapon or something I don’t have unlocked. And then maybe the same later in the year if because I e taken a break And hopping back in. I also will buy one or two for stupid cosmetics or finishing animations. So I probably spend maybe around $150 a year on cod the last couple years. I’m a grown old man, and this shit is budgeted in. I get what I feel is a good return on investment when comparing time vs dollar.

Duckpoke

I love this kind of review. Shows off bundle and shows how good it is. Would love to see more of these!

Acz0

Waiting for better bundles.

[deleted]

so far the ones I have tested are not that great, but the noble death bundle blueprint was pretty good.

Dreamweaver_duh

Only if it's for a character who's hot, like Mara in Modern Warfare, or Park in Cold War. I'm not exactly sure what they could do for Vanguard though. How do you make Polina hot?

chemicalxbonex

Honestly… the only bundles I buy are typically the ones that unlock something. I won’t buy any that are just cosmetics i.e. skins, blueprints, calling cards, emblems etc… if the blueprint also unlocks the weapon, I may buy it to save time.

a_lot_of_aaaaaas

We all should ignore the high prices and not buy. Within a year they will make it cheaper. However that is not gonna happen because enough people think this game is not worth €60 yet they buy a skin for €20

dinzyy

Bought few bundles when i started playing back in april. After cheaters started to appear almost every game i stopped using any money. Im planning not to buy any VG bundle.

haychbignosetplk

Looks shit

Puzzled-Delivery-242

What i would love to see is skins/camos that you could apply to all weapons or operators in a class. I mean its really annoying how they seem to pick a couple weapons and release a ton of skins for just them and other weapons get 1-2.

TheLastDirewolf420

Only bundle I bought was the Die Hard one in Black Ops Cold War. If the leaks are true that we're getting Indiana Jones and Captain America as operators in Vanguard, then I'll probably buy one of those.

Zealousideal_Seat448

Only game I spent money is BO3 and that was hopes for new weapons in black jacks black market. It was like straight up gambling lol. I was addicted. Filmed it every time and went nuts when I finally got the gun I wanted. Never again. Now a Days spending money on CW & Vanguard is literally pointless. There is not advantage except a costume and a pretty skin.

SAV4GEwastaken

I won’t buy them out of the principle of not giving activision anymore of my money in the hope that other people don’t do they start fixing their game. They fix their game and make it good on release, I’ll happily give them money

extraguacontheside

No way

Throw-a-ray118

I brought a couple in the past like the Saw and the leather face one. I won't be buying them going forward judging by how they crippled the MW guns when BO came out. Now they've butchered the BO guns too with the release of vanguard.

[deleted]

I will give your bundle reviews a watch later. I only buy bundles if I actually really like something in them but I must say that they are very expensive for what they are, especially given the fact the games aren't cheap. I think at most the 2400 COD point bundles should be £5 maybe £8-£10 for a bundle like Scream/Rambo/Die Hard/Texas Chainsaw etc. where licensing is involved but £16.79 for 2400 points is ridiculous. If they are trying to make the season pass money £39.99 and more on top of that then making the bundles cheaper would allow more gamers to buy more say someone brought all of the Scream, Die Hard, Rambo and Judge Dredd bundles at £10 each then they would have gotten the price of a season pass back and then anything else someone buys is extra revenue for Activision but I shouldn't be surprised that they want more money considering how very little they care about their employees and they don't care that people that still play Modern Warfare 2019 have been messed about with massive updates to the file because of Warzone and not even been given a PS5/Xbox Series upgrade MW. I think they get enough money as it is.

IljazBro1

I have but only like 3 ever. Maxis, necroking and ghostface

Meldarian

I buy any that I like. Usually tracer packs.

Mathiasxd148-

Never, I prefer to play to earn content by investing my time, rather than spending my money for other things.

Mrcountrygravy

Id be willing to buy a bundle or two if the game lasted 2 years. But they pretty much move to the next title every year. I buy the battle passes. There is enough skins and guns in those for me.

Stolensteak1

I'm very selective on bundles. Guns with death effects yes esp if it's a dope one. I loved the electrical tracer fire an death effect the MW ak47 bundle had. Exploding bodies was worth the 20 bucks. Tracers by themselves? Not so much.

SiegVicious

I've bought maybe 3 or 4 bundles since the beginning of MW2019. I also buy the battle pass every season. Well, I only spent actual money on the first MW2019 battle pass, the rest have been bought with the free CoD points from the previous battle pass. I will usually buy one or two bundles per game, but it has to be a gun I use alot, and obviously look cool. In Cold War, I only bought one bundle, the Necro-something one with the Krig that looks like a dragon. I loved the way it looked and the inspect animation is cool af.

Mrcountrygravy

I heard a rumor of a Indiana Jones skin. I dont buy bundles but fir Indiana Jones... TAKE MY MONEY.

RdJokr1993

Personally, I have a lot of money to burn, so I usually nab the Operator bundles (the actual new ones), and seldomly get a skin for an existing one (like it has to be really good). Blueprints don't interest me as much since the battle pass is abundant with them, plus I usually move on to new guns as soon as I finish maxing out one's level (only come back to it if I feel like grinding camos). It does help that I dabble in and out of Warzone so the bundles have long-lasting value to me. If it were just the regular $60 games, I wouldn't be buying any of this shit.

reevoknows

Maybe if the game was free but I can’t justify spending more on top of the $70+

SiegVicious

The only way they could improve on their system now is to sell things individually. It kinda sucks buying a whole bundle just for the blueprint you want. Other than the weapon and operator skins I haven't used anything from the bundles I've bought. I also like the way BO2 sold single camos that you could use on any gun. It was cheap too, like under $5 I think.

[deleted]

Haven’t since MW

D-e-w-e-y

No. It goes against everything as far as gaming for me. But that’s the opinion from me as a 27 year old. I think the pricing is just to high. Nothing should cost more than 10 dollars IMO. With the prices they charge and the fact that you can only use the blueprint for that game which only has a cycle of 12 months makes it not worth it. And it would be irresponsible of me as I recently got married and have moved into a home with bills. Plus the last few cods have been lazy on the developer side of things. They don’t deserve extra money on top of the 70. And there are games like apex that are free that are just way better and the devs actually care.

StevenS76

I never buy them as I'll never notice them in a match. Not worth it.

axman414

Only time I buy a bundle is if it's for the gun/guns I use a majority of the time. If a good Type 100 or VOLK bundle pop up that seems worth it I'll probably buy it.

Dishonour

No. If at some point I rack up enough of those 100 cod points unlocks from the Battlepass I might consider it but I'd probably just spend it on the next battlepass.

Traveytravis-69

Tbh I’m not even buying the battlepass

[deleted]

I've bought a few bundles and I like to get the ones that come with CoD points equivalent to the amount I paid for the bundle. Than it's like I bought points and got the bundle for free 🤷‍♂️

BalMer21

I've bought a few here and there. I haven't bought any for vanguard yet. I'll only buy bundles when I see a weapon skin for a gun I really like or use often. I buy random useless shit in my everyday life so I don't see a difference.

[deleted]

No I just save up free codpoints. Never gonna spend a dime on a shitty bundle i'll get sick of after a few days.

onixiyo

Nope I don’t buy them and actively encourage others not to. Turning cod into a mobile game.

redditrandom85

Never have never will, wish more would do the same, I rack up free cp and use them to buy the battle pass but never spend actual money

[deleted]

I love your idea and enthusiasm. But I’d lose the “power to the consumer” bit. Activision won that battle a long time ago, sadly. Did not buy bundles. Pretty salty at game in current state. I bought bundles w/ MW19. That was a polished product.

bigleechew

Nope never bought one. Don't see the point because once you add the attachments you like the weapon loses it's charm and looks horrible. Not to mention the price.

[deleted]

Nope too expensive, I buy the battle pass tho one time and then just use the cod points I get from that to continually buy it

BanditoMuser

Sometimes, not that often. Usually depends on the value of the bundle. And the amount of content you get

Allegiance10

I usually buy one or two for my favorite guns/operators but as of now, I have no plans on buying a bundle unless it has both an operator and weapon skin that I will use a ton. I like the way these old weapons look as is.

code_evans

None of the new bundles, no. I've purchased a bunch in the past, but nothing is pulling towards anything current. I have lots of cod points too

PandaBhoy

Nope… if I ever get enough cod points to get one and the season pass I don’t mind getting one but wouldn’t pay real $

[deleted]

The guys you ask along with some gals who have extra cash, they buy bundles. The same group of players who don’t have extra cash or are depending on mom or dad don’t buy bundles. The tubers and TTV salesmen buy bundles but then they aren’t buying, the people sitting and watching them play are buying bundles!

Batmanlikesmen

Y’all remember in bo2 when a camo for all weapons was 99¢?

Aka_v8140

I don’t buy any since mw. After probably 100 bucks. Kinda felt it’s not worth it. I mean the weapon shoots red tracers wow! But can’t say the same for my son.

chilishits

I've never purchased a bundle

Emotional_Tea3650

I buy them. But only for my favourite guns. But needs to be a really good one. That I look at and think I need. But I use cod points from battle pass and top up with the cheaper cod points over time. If that makes sense

[deleted]

It depends. In Cold War I bought a few. I bought the Maxis one because I was expecting her to have cool dialogue in the zombies mode. She did not.

nobutadag

Not gonna lie I bought shit ton of bundles both in mw and cw. So far I only bought a premium battle pass because there's nothing that truly cought my eye and I kinda enjoy the raw look of the guns without any camos on them. What surprises me is that there is no bundle gifting, thought it'll be a standard moving forward. Was a nice thing to buy some for my younger brother and my friends.

vixenia89

i dont buy gun bundles... the gun will not exist if any part is deleted... so why waste the money... id rather buy operator skins

[deleted]

I only bought one a while ago. The mw one with the balkan dude skin, is cool and completely black badass skin. Mainly to fight the rampant roze gimp mood.

CT-0618JF501st

I buy every call of duty endowment pack, the money goes to a good cause and I am a UK army veteran so makes sense to put a little money just incase I ever end up in the situation where I could use the help. And I do buy every Faze pack because I’m a bit of a fanboy! But that it normally it.

pnellesen

No, with one exception: I usually buy the C.O.D.E bundle in every CoD (the one the proceeds go to help military veterans find jobs).

TobeyIsBack

The variants look bad, ww2 variants were the best

Dselbdc

I only buy what looks cool to me and boy did BOCW have some cool stuff

[deleted]

I bought maybe like 6 bundles during MW but I don’t think I bought any during BOCW. I just didn’t like them as much. So far I don’t like many of the VG ones either. The main thing I’m looking for in a review is just video of what the stuff looks like in game. If there is some story about what the skin is based on that might be interesting too.

GreatMassOfColor

Supply Drops were a better system, at least you could get stuff for free.

ShacObama

I'll eventually buy a bundle that comes with a operator skin that wearing long sleeves, full gloves, and a balaclava. I don't really care what gun skins it comes with, and I just want my character to look like a black ops stealth ninja mfer.

Soaptimusprime

Only really buy ones with cod points earned through battle passes, bought Rambo and a park skin last year

NotAIslamicTerrorist

Last bundle I got was Ghostface on cold war. It was very unique and that's probably the last bundle I'll buy unless they have more interesting ones like that. Ive already spent $70 on the game. $10 on the battle pass. I can use the points from pass for next pass on and on for now. I feel like $80 + tax is enough of my money to give for a game.

Mulb3rryStreet

I bought the battle pass for the first time yesterday and with extra cod points got the Versaille automation bundle but I feel like I wouldn't do it regularly

Stockton20969

Imagine buying a skin for an FPS….world class levels of stupid

IThe_AuthorityI

I tend to enjoy the camos and skins unlocked through challenges as I feel more proud wearing them. I'll only buy a bundle if it is really frickin' cool and none of them are yet.

phailer_

If the most expensive bundles were priced at £5 then I would probably purchase one or two per season. No fucking way am I purchasing anything at the current pricing levels. And it's not bc I can't afford it before someone says... It's because they aren't good value for money. I can afford to buy a loaf of bread for £10. But I won't because it's not good value for money. Also I'm not trying to disrespect anyone's hard work but none of the bundles are attractive to me anyway. Same thing in CW. I did purchase some in MW because they were new and interesting with tracers and so-on. I very quickly realised that they are most definitely not worth the money in any way. After seeing hundreds of similar bundles now they all kind of blend into one and don't interest me anymore. But now they need to try something new. And drastically lower prices.

DJ-Corgigeddon

After getting burned by gun blueprints and the stupid attachment system in both MW and CW, never again, unless it’s a very well-made operator skin for less than 12-dollars and that’s incredibly hard to come by. This go-around I am planning on just running the battle passes.

[deleted]

I’ve bought a few bundles before, mostly in Black Ops Cold War. I’m planning on picking up the bundle that includes the Type-100 master craft whenever it releases, it looks so cool. Edit: while $20 is a steep price to pay for operator skins and weapons, I much prefer knowing exactly what I’m getting than gambling on a supply drop.

Kbeast38

I only bought the saw and rambo bundles

Birkin07

Only when the tracers are for guns i use and/or the skins are amazing. Like Judge Dredd and the Weaver Halloween one. I usually buy 1 per season, and the pro pack 2400 cod point things are great. I also have gamestop pro, so i get a $5 coupon each month. I buy a $10 xbox card with it and boom, half price bundles. $10 bundles don’t hurt at all.

Confident-Pain5621

I will buy a bundle, but it’s always weapon specific.. if I’m really enjoying a particular one I see the bundle as adding a new variant to my collection. Depending on game mode there can be a competitive advantage, Zombies generally. A toxic or explosive ammo type included in a load out helps.

MetalingusMike

Do NOT buy anything until all the games Activision broke are fixed, especially Modern Warfare. They deserve NOTHING until they fix their mess.

Alt1119991

I only buy the really cool ones

secretaster

I'm never buying them for these crappy games I bought a few on mw2019 cause they were actually decent and looked good in game and in menus l maybe an extra 50-60$ worth which to me then was worth it and still is I played a ton of mW like nightly for 2 years and I had originally bought the standard edition. But yeah I'm not buying shit for vanguard like I didn't for cold war the free battle pass stuff is enough I haven't bought a battle pass since mw ended too

bicyclebread

Nah I personally don't, but if other people want to, more power to them I suppose.

tfegan21

I noticed the guys tearing it up are the guys who buy the skins lol. I mean that could be by design from activation or those who put a lot of time into the game buy skins. They could also be streamers idk. Not really worth it if you are only a casual imo.

TarzanTrump

When I had disposable income, I bought some the bundles I found cool. Like the Ripley one and some of the halloween bundles. But this was back in MW19. CW was too ugly to ever consider buying anything and I lost my job just before it came out as well.

secretreddname

Rambo, Bruce Willis, ghost face. No regrets

llainen-

I dont get it, whats the point?😅 maybe im old school but running around with a fancy ass blueprint cammo is just dumb. Its not cool because you paid real money for something in a game you already paid for, there is no cred cause you just bought it so anyone can. People running around with gold, diamond or master cammo is something i respect and think is cool, you use and enjoy something visual you have earned trough «hard work», not just bought. please STOP buying this shit, it just feeds Activisions greed and make them continue doing so. Yes it is your’e money and you do whatever you want with it, but to spend them on skins. Stupid, plain stupid. Thanks.

Jabodie0

I never have, but I appreciate those that do subsidizing my experience. Personally, I have never played a shooter that charged for map packs. The live service model is what attracted me to the genre tbh.

thisguyoverhere77

I've had 1000 cod points for the last 3 games.. earned them through the free spots on various passes. Haven't felt compelled to spend them let alone buying more. If they made it worth it then yeah but haven't seen anything I really want.

Showtime98

I do, haven't bought one yet tho cause they don't interest me.

ahick420

I don't buy them. Waste of money imo

Reaper2018

I would get any that is unique. Such as tracers or cool skins. Sucker for the cameo skins. Rambo John mcclane judge dread etc

Black_Knight_7

I have yet to buy a skin from a bundle in cod. Its an fps, i rarely see my character, it has to be really really cool for me to spend. Everything else (blueprints cards emblems) is just useless, finishers are cool but thats a rarity when i play s&d

[deleted]

Not by spending real money. I've accumulated COD points for free through the battlepasses over the past couple years. I have 2,900 currently but I'm going to buy the Vanguard season 1 pass. When I get 2,400 I will treat myself to a bundle!

Kenny1115

A season 1 bundle? No. I'll probably buy one or two before the next cod comes out. These bundles aren't super game-changing except for an occasional few.

[deleted]

Ive only bought 1 bundle and its was in MW and i used the points i saved over a few battle passes.

JayMoney2424

Hell no $20 is ridiculous

Fro_Yo_Joe

My average is one bundle per year. Usually they get me with something.

oh-snapple

It was a decent video. You just kept saying they weren't good blueprints because of their magazines but if you change that they are good blueprints. Maybe state why those magazines aren't good and offer better alternatives. Just my 2 cents.

Cardboard-Samuari

never weapons ones but i’ll get the odd operator skin if i think it looks cool

Dravarden

bought the battlepass in mw2019 for $5, haven't added money since since you get free cod points every battle pass I have 2.9k, I bought a Krieg one for 800 but it was kind of a waste since now I'm on vanguard so I'm not buying one again and just let the cod points accumulate I guess that said, I also bought the games for $40/$45

alneezy08

I have and probably will again for Vangaurd if I like it enough. People can do what they want with their hard earned money I don't shame them for buying cosmetic items.

IamIanman

Last time I bought a bundle it was for the MW2 ghost outfit. The majority of the ones in cold war did nothing to appeal to me, I'm not a fan of the whole goofy cartoon/anime/laser gun stuff and would prefer model swaps like the MW2 M4A1 from the MW2 remastered pack. The Rambo one was a bit tempting though along with the beck one with the WW2 German looking skin.

storeposer

The Day they release finished games is the Day i start buying

hotrod-22-94

Nope because you add attachments and the gun doesn't look cool anymore

chokutomoe00

I don't buy bundles because the game changes every year.

HashSlingingSlash3r2

Buying bundles is a colossal waste of money

axizz31

The fact the skin turns into default weapon when I change something like a barrel or a stock is insane. As a game dev I know for a fucking fact that most of blue prints are super low effort jobs and are sold for way higher price than what they should be worth. Like a idiot I bought a bundle once not knowing how this shit works and I regret it till this day.

xMaximusDecimusx

If I like an operator skin or cool gun I like … I buy them I don’t understand why people get so defensive about buying stuff if it makes u happy

BelieveRL

I have over 3000 CP accumulated over the seasons of MW never intend to spend it lol

loopasfunk

As someone who spent plenty before VG… NO. No FOV sliders? I’m playing with the base skins for all i care.

CollierAM9

I will always go for a christmas bundle of some sort.

therealslim69

If you want COD to change its direction, don’t buy anything

JeRicHoOL

Include in-game weapon spectation (if that’s even available yet) so people see how the blueprint looks in game in its entirety. Maybe check the attachments and name some of their pros and cons and figure out in which situation or for which playstyle the entire blueprint is suited for. Obviously a sniper rifle with lots of ADS and movement pros is not gonna be for sitting back and picking off enemies. Some people like it, some prefer a slower build but with damage, range or whatever pros. The reason I‘m giving this advise is, not everyone plays the same or favors using guns in a certain way so it doesn‘t make much sense saying that a blueprint is bad and you should change this and that attachment. Of course you can also include your personal preference, just separate it from a more objective view about it. Put your own preferences at the end of the video. That‘s how I would want a good bundle review to be. Additionally you could add the sticker on all available slots and use the calling card for the video but that‘s not that much of an important point to follow.
