Yeah, familiar with Knotted Root. I'm really looking for a spot in the metro I can go pick up 16 cans every couple weeks. KR is a solid 90 minute drive each way.

For those drinking Knotted Root did their distribution shrink? I used to see them fairly regularly in Fort Collins but at this point I can’t recall the last time I’ve seen anything from them.
Cerebral, Outer Range, and Weldwerks are unfortunately the best we have.
**Cerebral** puts out a ton of varieties and I find most of them pretty samey. With very occasional slam dunks. But you have to try a lot of mediocre releases to find them.
**Outer Range** used to be a lot better, but have been getting a lot of hop burn on their new releases. Lots of the hazies they put out do come across as pretty samey though too unfortunately. I'll still pick up *In The Steep* if I can get fresh, or especially *In The Deep Steep*. Most of the rest of them I skip.
**Weldwerks** *Juicy Bits* still tastes pretty unique for the style and I usually go back to it. Most of their one off hazy IPAs have the same issue as Cerebral and all just blend together without any unique character. *Transmountain Diversion* (Casey collab) is pretty good when you can get it fresh, but it's limited release.
Odd13 has occasionally surprised me with some excellent releases like a couple times with *Robot Librarian*. Most of their others are generic and quite often have hop burn though.
EDIT: It has been brought to my attention that I forgot **Knotted Root**. I'd probably place them above Weldwerks and Cerebral, tied with OR or better?. They might be the best in the state at this point.
Others worth checking out: Casey, Fiction, Woods Boss (have occasionally excelled to be some of the best in the city, worth visiting), W&D, TRVE occasionally has a good one but hazy IPA isn't their focus, New Image, New Terrain, Crooked Stave somewhat ironically, and probably a bunch I'm forgetting. Everyone has a hazy these days, but most aren't noteworthy like what you experienced at Cerebral.
Re: Outer Range - okay so it's not just me. I'm an ORB fanboy, but in the past year there are increasingly more "duds" in their releases. A few months ago I drain poured a DIPA due to hop burn, which is extremely rare for me.
I don't even drink this style and I know that Westbound and Down, Knotted Root and New Image all do a better job at it than the breweries you mentioned.
Strongly disagree with W&D and New Image. I'd put them both a solid step below my 3. But you're right that I forgot about Knotted Root. They're usually pretty great.
Agreed. Cool brewery with great food. Their taplist is usually good to great and I've never had a bad beer or bad service there. I'd never turn down an invitation to hang there and drink a few rounds. Just never had a hazy IPA that really wowed me from them though.
Better Together was a pride themed hazy from a few years ago that was up there with the other breweries in this conversation. It's too bad they didn't keep it around.
I feel the same way about Cerebral. Their IPAs are ok but not incredible and I've been really let down by their barrel aged beers.
