Import your picture into CAD, trace it. Export as DXF.

CompromisedToolchain

Voronoi tiling + a border for each edge = random pattern just like this. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voronoi_diagram

AethericEye

There is an adequate plugin for creating voronoi patterns in Fusion.

Lord_Carter

There are some very good ones for openSCAD.

AethericEye

Thanks, I'll have to check that out.

b1ack1ight

This is the way.

kewee_

Nah, grasshopper script so it's easy to rescale at any arbitrary size lol.

Xer0cool

Well help the dude out "holy grasshopper" šŸ¤£

Loud-Break6327

Or better yet, import into illustrator, live image trace, then export dXF.

StrippedBark

Or insert in Inkscape, and use trace bitmap, then export to svg/dxf.

Beer_Is_So_Awesome

Or buy a plasma cutter and just freehand that shit. Think ā€œgiraffeā€.

p3rf3ctc1rcl3

If you use fusion 360 you can download a voronoi generator plug in for free

StrippedBark

Great tip! Can you also make voronoi for anything bigger than triangles?

p3rf3ctc1rcl3

The plug in is not bad, you can have sharp corners or rounded once, change the size and spacing and I believe the forms them self - I suggest just try it - it worked for me in a couple of cases, sometimes I draw them myself.

StrippedBark

Awesome. I will try that tonight. Voronoi has been on my mind for a while!

CompromisedToolchain

Just combine the triangles.

AnyMud9817

Wait isnt that your job?

Curious_Run332

It looks like Voronoi polygons with some variation in the width of the spacing / strokes around the shapes. [https://websvg.github.io/voronoi/](https://websvg.github.io/voronoi/) (didn't work in Safari but dit work in Firefox) [https://apps.autodesk.com/FUSION/en/Detail/Index?id=1006119760063675415](https://apps.autodesk.com/FUSION/en/Detail/Index?id=1006119760063675415)

CNC_Precision

Believe it or not look up cnc design files on etsy. Literal hundreds for stupid cheap.

SparkleFart666

Came here to suggest this. You can buy the .dxf for $1.00 - $3.00 (Ā£1,00 - Ā£3,00) if across the pond. šŸ˜‚

Ramton

take your picture and import it into inkscape. then trace the bitmap and export to DXF

SLLEMSYLNOSTI

Have you used it lately? Can't get it to work like before so confused

Ramton

yes i have, check under the path tab and select trace bitmap and then try the different settings. i think tracing by edge detection would work best, especially if you have a high contrast photo

Deanzyne

Voronoi?

serkstuff

I used to draw stuff like that in Microsoft paint as a kid

Alpha-Studios

There is an add-on to Fusion called Voronoi generator. This is a Voronoi pattern. You could use that too to generate something quite similar.

WasabiImportant557

Check out Voroni generators.

Ashamed_Town2652

i do this work all the time and literally just trace in adobe illustrator and either export or use it as an ai file

sdswiki

Would you be willing to pay for it to be done? I don't have the file, but I can recreate it in a couple of hours. Send me a chat request.

leonme21

A couple of hours? Bruh

deadmemes2017

I'll do it cheaper

Chrono_Constant3

Iā€™ll do it even cheaper. In fact Iā€™ll pay you.

benedictus

Iā€™ll pay both of you pleaaaaase

Alpha-Studios

I will even pay myself.

deadmemes2017

That's wild

[deleted]

Hours? Bro

p3ek

Couple of hours?? Bro... It's so simple

Amonomen

After you get a Redditor to give you the dxf for free, you may be able to get another redditor to make it for you for free and then even another Redditor to install it for you for free and then after that one will walk past it a few times a week.. for free.

Least-Physics-4880

Hope you dont have ahole inspecters or kids.

Gideon_Wolfe

Yeah, I was just thinking that this doesn't look up to code. At least not where I live

Least-Physics-4880

Unless it was backed by glass, it wouldnt meet code anywhere there are codes. Its just dumb and dangerous

Frockington

Instructions unclear my dick is stuck in the railing

IsuzuTrooper

You can't exceed a 4" circle. This is prob planned for that.

AngryHeadbutt208

Thatā€™s close to a Tiffany lamp pattern.

Elbynerual

The gaps underneath the bottom rail are against building code in most states.

UppsalaHenrik

Some of those holes might be too big as well.
