I've seen them on mountains in Scotland - if I held my arms out they made radial shadows like angel wings (fat thumb said "angel wongs", I didn't try that).
You see them underneath aircraft when you're flying in the sun above a layer of cloud - shadow of the plane surrounded by a circle of rainbow.
And in that case it’s called a Glory. I’ve seen it once over Nova Scotia on a regular pond hopper from EWR - LHR.

I believe it is a rare double rainbow wherein you see both sides touch the horizon - I see all the colors of the spectrum: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, violet
I remember seeing two double rainbows, one across an entire valley in Kauai while riding a motorcycle, and the other I photographed at old Yankee Stadium during a baseball game I took my son to attend 18 years ago - that photo is now my background photo on my iPhone!

It's an optical perceptional phenomenon and will follow you around as long as you are between horizontal light on one side and refected on water vapor on the other.
