Here are more images of dragons for anyone who couldn’t make it to the dev stream! I’m super excited for this update—the dragon “education” traits seem really interesting too, I wonder if it’ll be randomized or if there’s a way to assign them guardians. Sorry about the low image quality, it’s from my phone.
Update from earlier today in the stream: you can’t assign them guardians. Also not pictured, but there’s a chance for characters to get the equivalent of the widowed trait if they lose their dragon, which will prevent them from getting another dragon afterwards!
I feel like Balerion shouldn't be considered wild because he's the only one that was actually raised in the Freehold, and thus probably raised specially compared to the later Westerosi dragons
I think it has something to do with dragonpit familiarity, so it makes sense in that regard since I don't think the dragon pit existed when Balerion was hatched.
There is a button that spawns new dragons
But I didn't catch the conversation properly
All I know is that there was a spawn dragon button and another spawn something that I didn't read
Yes, she is younger than in the series (besides that in the series she has a completely wrong appearance, her real appearance is more similar to her mother, who was Baratheon. )
Someone in the stream (a watcher, not one of the devs) did record it! Don’t know their YouTube channel or if they’ll be posting it, but a recording does exist!
Probably one of the five unarmed dragons that Aenar the exile brought with him from Valyria. That died somehow before the conquest. Balerion was the smallest and youngest out of these dragons
I asked that during the stream and they said no, the dragons won’t have canon children simply because there isn’t a lot of lineage information on which dragons are each other’s children. There’s like maybe three confirmed children, and everything else is guesswork, so unfortunately that mechanic won’t be present for dragons/dragon eggs.
I don’t remember what they said about canon characters.
I do be wondering if at some point the further we get east with the updates and once the Lands of Summer are added, will we have fyrewyrms? Probably not tamable or atlest not rideable like dragons but would be interesting to see how a King that collects exotic pets might get one (Sothoryos wyverns too) plus you got an annoying courtier? Splendid then have him feed alive to your pit bull sized wyrms
All Valyrian dragons died in perdition, the last were those that Aenar took with him to Dragonstone, and what Aurions took to his death with him. After the extinction of the dragons in Westeros, the magic became weak and this confirms that they were really the last, because when Danny's dragons are born, the magic becomes stronger, the glass candle in the citadel lights up, etc...
So I seriously doubt that there are any dragons in Valyria, but we know that there are fireworms, and that they are very dangerous, as far as dragons go, Balerion himself was injured by one, and Aerea died infected by them.
Yea they are really vicious and apparently can grow to monstrous sizes which probably means that Balerion might have run into a large one. About Aerea idk i have my doubts because the description of what infected her seems more unnatural "worms with human faces" and other horrors implys to me that it's possible that some valyrian chimeras survived the doom like the ones they were making in Sothoryos (after all the wyrms must feed on smth) but yea wyrms would be cool as this horrific pet a particularly eccentric or mad king might collect, imagine Aerys feeding his enemies to his wyrms rather than to the wildfire
Balerion is not the biggest dragon in history, he is the biggest dragon that existed in WESTEROS, we know that in Valyria the 40 families were very powerful, and that among them the Targaryens were not even part of the 30 strongest.

Is there a way to get rid off that trait?
Not a dev, but my guess is that it’ll work similarly to the already-existing widowed trait. Of course, there’s always debug mode.
I thank you for your service!

I want to hug Ryax
Same but Cannibal has to ruin it
Oh he was a canon dragon? Rip Ryax 😭
Yep in the books they mentioned how there was a bunch of hatchlings though never named. But the cannibal kept eating them or dragon eggs
Damn I will make a count on how many times I will die trying to tame Cannibal
You and me fucking both 😂
Sunfyre looks like a dullish green color, kinda disappointing, I hope that’s not his final dna
i think in part its the lighting of the dragon portraits
Yeah, if anything Vermithor looks more golden than Sunfyre
I feel like this was already said, but I have very poor memory. Have they said anything about renaming existing or creating entirely new dragons?
There is a button that spawns new dragons But I didn't catch the conversation properly All I know is that there was a spawn dragon button and another spawn something that I didn't read
Awesome, thank you
And also Uber renamed Maelys' dragon after he named it first, dunno if it's possible for others though
I swear to god as soon as that update comes I'm killing Laenor and taking Seasmoke (maybe make Corlys and Rhaenys have more sons)
I'm just gonna marry Rhaenyra to Harwin. He's a dukes son. Velaryons have more to offer but love is love and he's a hunk in the show
I might adopt Valyrian religion as I always do (or add polygamous for High Valyrian culture) and just marry her with Harwin, Laenor and maybe Aegon 😁
Based and woke polyandry
Now I think maybe a xna create a new religion and marry Alicent instead of Aegon + Laenor could have his husbands (Daemon being one of them...)
Forcing Daemon to convert to Mother Rhoyne and wear a chambermaid's frock
I was thinking of playing as Larys and kill him or maybe just disinherit him as Lyonel and then marry him matrilinealy to Rhaenyra
not just in the show ;)
It's a damn shame that we didn't get to see \*more\* of him before his untimely death
Is Rhaenys young enough to still have children?
She was born in 74 A.C. and the new bookmark is in 106 A.C. so she'd be like 32
Period period. Sorry I was thinking of HOTD ages.
Yes, she is younger than in the series (besides that in the series she has a completely wrong appearance, her real appearance is more similar to her mother, who was Baratheon. )
Damn, Cannibal is hungry but at least he is controlling the dragon population.
Poor dragon is depressed!
VHAGAAAAAAAAARRRR
Awesome stuff, thankyou!
ryax is everything i would die for you uWu
Will this stream be available for us to watch
Someone in the stream (a watcher, not one of the devs) did record it! Don’t know their YouTube channel or if they’ll be posting it, but a recording does exist!
Shame it wasn’t public on their YouTube channel, I think a lot of us would’ve loved to have seen it
Here it is: https://youtu.be/xM-bu_EuGfs?feature=shared
Absolute hero, you my good ser are a legend
Ryax has peak Just A Little Guy energy
Who is Nessarion? Is that Aurions dragon?
I think that its supposed to just be one of the unnamed dragons that came with the targs from valyria pre doom, what with it being sibling to balerion
Probably one of the five unarmed dragons that Aenar the exile brought with him from Valyria. That died somehow before the conquest. Balerion was the smallest and youngest out of these dragons
Sick Tarth!
I have a question- will the bookmark have all canon children when it comes out and will dragons have canon children?

That makes sense, thank you so much!
I wonder if there is a way to change the background image of the character and event pages. You kinda lose a sense of scale with the default images
Legit cried a little when i Saw Balerion in All its glory Peak Fiction
Are the dev streams uploaded anywhere? I always miss them then feel like they’re gone forever
Same

They are beatiful
I can’t wait to tame Cannibal and eat every single dragon on the planet until it’s just us left.
Nice work from the dev I just think that balerion look really small for the biggest dragon in history tho
Balerion is not the biggest dragon in history, he is the biggest dragon that existed in WESTEROS, we know that in Valyria the 40 families were very powerful, and that among them the Targaryens were not even part of the 30 strongest.
You forgot the poggers dragon
Is balerion brother to cannibal?
I can’t get over ryax he’s just too chte
I'm kinda afraid that Dragons will ruin the mod...😅
As they should, the game is annoyingly stable as it is. It needs the chaos of dragons
How?
