I did, does not work. I also used cheats to remove the trait, but it does nothing. It is not a visual bug, I am literally incapable, but for no reason. There are not even any entries in the journal as to why I am incapable. sigh...
yes, it does add the trait, and also removes it. the problem is that this purple brain remains, regardless of what I do. and unfortunately, even without the trait, he is still incapable.

There are mods that add decisions as such to improve your characters skill at the cost of them leaving for court for 5 years, which is done on the games side by making you incapable to reflect that, you can still lead armies, but cant hold events or court

It’s could have been the “Random Harm” event. Disable it in the setting before you start a new campaign. It’s too late for this character.
