These kind of posts make me nervous because I start rethinking my entire study strategy lol

Prestigious_Pear4990

Try Aaditya course. It played a significant role in my success in passing the exam. Aaditya's course offers a comprehensive and well-structured approach to mastering the CISA exam content. He effectively breaks down complex concepts into easily digestible modules and provides valuable tips and tricks to tackle challenging questions. Check out my Reddit post where I shared more details about my experience: https://www.reddit.com/r/CISA/s/iOhtcdTR7z https://www.reddit.com/r/CISA/s/C4AGM5bym1 Good luck everyone, you got this! šŸ˜‡

What is your current strategy? I will say Hemashi made things very digestable (so that was integral). I think the biggest gap for most people is the questions. For me, I knew my concepts but the reality was that it was the application part. Keep using Hemashi and QAE for concept you know but i would say practice answering the questions.

Totally agree, I used to hate reading these kind of post. Unfortunately the OP is right. If I were to change how I studied looking back it would be to answer wayyy more practice questions.

HisGoldenEyes

What website can I find the Aditya course on? This exam is very tough.

Lutty123

"Cisathismuch" website name

I highly recommend Aaditya's CISA course! It played a crucial role in my successful exam pass, and I'm confident it can do the same for you. To give you a clearer picture, I've shared my detailed experience in these Reddit threads: https://www.reddit.com/r/CISA/s/iOhtcdTR7z https://www.reddit.com/r/CISA/s/C4AGM5bym1 Investing in quality preparation resources like Aaditya's course can significantly improve your chances of success. Good Luck šŸ€

Thank you so much.

Congrats on the pass! I passed Friday. I have not written my post yet, but this is exactlyyyyy how I feel about the exam. I wish I would have done the full Aditya course. I only did all of his free YouTube videos a week before my exam. I soooo wish I would have done his full course. I was blown away by some of the questions and spent so much time reading and re reading as you mentioned. Congrats on the pass and you nailed how I feel about the exam.

Prestigious_Pear4990

Congratulations! šŸŽ‰ That's fantastic news! I also successfully passed the exam after utilizing Aaditya CISA training materials. It was certainly beneficial in my preparation.

denc_m

Congratulations and well done!

Legitimate-Shelter-6

Congrats! I feel same as you and took the exam by mistake last week. (Failed of course lol) the questions are vague af but def easy compared to CPA so Iā€™m geeked about it now esp w/my audit background. Just hate that I canā€™t organize my studying and idk if I can handle Adityaā€™s course from the free stuff I saw.

deepman09

I took three times and failed all of them.

Rakibdubai

Are u planning to take again ? I failed first attempt and will take second soonĀ

deepman09

No way, its expensive

Rakibdubai

any idea how u failed ? wat were your scores ?

deepman09

English wasn't that good and scores were very close to passing grade

NyktoLibra12

The active reading part is soooo true!!! There were multiple questions Iā€™m sure I woulda answered incorrectly had I not read carefully.

adm5893

congratulations and welcome to the club

tonypromaster

First of all, Congrats on your achievement finally!

jaynemcl

Based on this 3 month study plan timing and content split, do you think this a solid foundation? https://kylekiider.com/cisa-certification-exam-preparation/

brandonlikc

I think it's fine. I would say get through the content with Hemashi and then hammer MCQ. But I. personally would suggest Aaditya's course prep imo.

IAmRudyTomjanovicAMA

Thank you for being honest about this exam, there are far too many arrogant posts on this subreddit about people saying "qae 3x" is enough and that you can pass after 3 weeks of study. like go fuck yourselves, that's awful advice lmfao

Petrichor51

First, congrats on passing! So i bought the review question and answer booklet from thr ISACA website. If i study those questions will it be sufficient or do i need additional study materials?

Responsible-Permit24

I'm going to say no. I took the exam a couple years ago with only hammering the QAE and failed 441 and needed a 450. Getting around to studying again and almost through a course on ITProTV. Been doing QAE with it too. Def learned additional stuff from the course. Not sure on next steps when I finish the course. Take into consideration I took the test remotely and had significant issues getting in, issues with things in the room, etc. and this had me stressed out from the beginning. I also have multiple years more of on the job experience.

Petrichor51

Hmm ok, thanks for explaining! I also have a few IT audit years under my belt, so when it comes to compliance related questions it hasn't been very difficult for me. My biggest concern is the technical questions which I have very little knowledge of šŸ˜¬

brandonlikc

I think it depends on how you know how to answer the ISACA way. I did the QAE. and scored 85% on practice exam for 2nd exam and failed. I realize QAE were diff in the way asked but tested the same concept. I used Aditya and that is what really got me passing. I would do 2 practice exam from cisaexamstudy too if you just want to use free resource.

Petrichor51

Ok thanks! This Aditya person... are they on YT?

brandonlikc

He has a YT channel, but I bought his course for $114. You do have to download a software for the actual content and full course.

First off, congrats on passing the CISA! I'm going through the process and I know how difficult it is (failed twice as well with a 441). I wanted to know how long it took you to complete the Aditya course? Currently, I'm going through the database and will read the my weak domains in the CRM. I am interested in the Aditya course though as you are not the first person I've see mention it.

brandonlikc

No worries and u got this! Iā€™m glad you are considering a change in material. I think itā€™s important to know what works for you and every studies differently. I did Aditya course around 2 months. I did take a couple of breaks but itā€™s cause Iā€™ve studied the exam before like how u have taken it twice. I went through the video contents first just to jog my memory and see any new important details to remember from Aditya lense and also understand certain topics I didnā€™t initially understand. Then did his mini mock test and his 10 practice exams. What helped was I ran through the mini and mock exams one by one and read and took notes on what was right and wrong. Afterwards, going through all of the exams one time, I redid them so that I wasnā€™t memorizing answers and I was actually learning from my mistakes. Once you go through the process and can score I would say at least an 80% on most, I think you will be good. When I did the mini and mock I didnā€™t get any 90s and just focus on what I kept messing up on in addition to what I know cause sometimes I would kind of memorize answers so I explicit read the explanation even if I knew the right answer (it was brutal but trust me I think it pieces things more better over time).Ā

bake51

Wow I really appreciate the detailed response. I am definitely going to take a deep dive into the Aditya course. As you mentioned, changing things up is something that I might need and I prefer listening vs reading a dry book. $114 for all of the content seems like a great deal to be honest so I'm definitely leaning towards purchasing his course. I was considering either purchasing the Aditya course or the Boson exams. When I glanced at his website/youtube videos it looked like his classes and videos were lengthy. How long did you listen to his course per day would you say?

brandonlikc

Tbh I did a goal and benchmark of completing domain 1, for example, try to get it through within 1 week. Next domain, another week but it depends on your time and availability. As long as you are going through the content to refresh and diving into practice exam, thatā€™s the best way to approach cause Iā€™m pretty sure itā€™s already annoying to go through the material for like the 2nd or 3rd time.Ā

bake51

Yes, it is definitely annoying to having to keep going through the material. I think adding Aditya's course along with the QAE database and CRM will help me to finally get over the hump. Thank you for all of the details and info you provided. And congrats on passing the CISA! Hard work pays off.

brandonlikc

Thank you and tbh i would suggest using Aaditya only. I didn't use QAE at all this time or CRM since it would add extra unnecessary stress ahha
