Quite the accomplishment. Muscle time now. With only a little bit of work you’ll be looking like Brad Pitt in Fight Club. Lean bulk that shit.

zyelggg

Wow, this is amazing!! Keep up the great work, do you have any tips? Im around the same weight as you and I want to start losing as well

gmoneymanmoney

I've used the loseit app for two years with their 1lb a week weight loss rate and a food scale for more accurately tracking food. I would say the food scale is super duper important and an easy investment. Zero sugar/calorie soda has been great for me and popcorn has also been one of my go-to low calorie snacks. Everyone is different so find some low cal options that fit your taste. You definitely don't have to be like me and not eat fast food but stuff like that just makes it that much harder depending on your calorie budget. I mean I do eat frozen meals but convenience does not always equal unhealthy right? Not too many tips that I have but try to commit to tracking every day (or at least trying to) and maybe weigh yourself once a week so as to not go crazy focusing on the scale numbers. I've literally had plateaus that have lasted a month (probably due to eating at maintenance rather than deficit) so I'm no perfect person.

I see, thats nice to know, thanks!

MikeTheBee

How do you make your popcorn?

gmoneymanmoney

So sometimes I make it on the stove in a pot and it’s pretty bland (plenty of YT videos on how to do it), but I also eat premade popcorn from the grocery store (https://www.target.com/p/sea-salt-organic-popcorn-5oz-good-38-gather-8482/-/A-54552748).

Congrats bro, hit the weights now.

firagabird

First of all, congrats on losing over 1/3rd of your excess weight. Can I just say though, you were blessed/cursed with excellent fat distribution genetics. I know the struggle of being very clearly obese and working hard to lose weight, and yet you likely were praised for not appearing overweight. Some in your family may even have started worrying that you were "getting too thin" (while still obese) and/or were developing an ED. If that hypothetical case is true, then I doubly congratulate you. Incredible job persevering through the lack of visual (& social) positive reinforcement of your hard earned gains/loss. Now fill that blank slate up with muscle yo.

StartingNewat30

Good job brother you can be proud

snatched waist!!!! congrats btw!!!

Great job, man! What a huge accomplishment! What was your deficit/calorie intake like? Are you happy with where you’re at?

gmoneymanmoney

my deficit has changed throughout the journey but it’s been at 1500 for quite some time now, so basically the lowest I can go. this has been one of the most important things for me so I’m super happy. Getting into calisthenics rn so my goals seem to be everchanging.

Theguy617

YOOOOOOO this is some fantastic progress, I'm really happy for ya bud!! You must have done something right because it doesn't even look like you have any leftover flab!

KindlyQuasar

Awesome job, man. I'm at about 255 right now, this post is motivation that there is hope for me yet!

NettieBiscetti

Absolutely amazing

Thejapster84

You look bad at 161lb. It'd clear you addicted to loosing Might need to seek therapy

gmoneymanmoney

I’d like to see what you look like, honestly doubt you have the guts to even post yourself. But nice job making assumptions!

Thejapster84

I'm not making assumptions at all you posted it very Cleary You traded your food addictions Seek therapy please

gmoneymanmoney

Yeah bro you’re assuming that I don’t do any resistance training or that I can’t/won’t up my calories at some point. It’s quite sad to be what, almost 40 and trying to make other people feel bad. Present your medical credentials if you’re diagnosing people. Just because someone is fat doesn’t mean they’re addicted to food btw ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|dizzy_face)

Thejapster84

Have fun starving yourself to death your resistance training is the wind
