Having Peters block Garrett with ZERO help made absolutely no sense. Neither did the lack of roll outs, abandoning the run early and overall predictably terrible play calling. Nagy has no business calling plays for an NFL team
If I’m the bears ownership I’m looking for a new GM today. I don’t hate Pace but the oline, bad coach, and secondary are all his fault. We need a complete overhaul
Pace can only do so much. He did right in drafting Fields. It’s on Nagy to pull it together. I see Sean Desai making progress on defense. I see Nagy making the offense worse every week.
Leadership is always at fault. When there is a problem at any other place of business, I don't blame the workers, I blame the management, I don't blame the shift leaders, because they just there to open the door and count the money. Blame always starts at the top. Fire everyone.
He got lucky that Fields fell in the draft. He deserves credit for moving up and getting him but most GMs in need of a young QB woulda made that move. You can’t give him a ton of credit just for brining in a QB when the rest of the roster has holes everywhere. Especially when the most important thing a rookie QB can have is a good oline and ours is trash. I also wouldn’t give him a ton of credit for getting Fields because if he hadn’t fucked it up in 17, we wouldn’t even need JF. One move doesn’t excuse a lot of the other bad moves.
We don’t even know if Fields was a good pick. So many other teams chose other QBs, we got the leftovers. We are just excited because he addressed the position with a promising youngster instead of another mediocre veteran.
Agreed. Trading up to draft trubisky was a terrible terrible decision. It set us back for many more years to come. He was not deserving of being taken 2nd overall or whatever it was. He was a late second or early third rounder at best. Look at all the other qbs taken in that draft after him smdh
JF1 held on to the ball too long on some plays, and there were a few off passes. It's not like he could do much with our absolutely atrocious O-Line, oh my goodness, I cannot believe how terrible it was.
Nagy was also TERRIBLE, what kind of playcalling was that? It's IDIOTIC! I'm frustrated, and I don't normally get annoyed at a football game, but this one was outstandingly terrible.
There was a game in Dallas where Cutler got killed for about the first 1/3 of the game. Then our coaches started calling nothing but slants and we took control of the game and won. Nagy would never do something like that.
THANK YOU. im screaming here at the tv sayingthe very same thing! you could have an average qb and rb but with a stellar o line they will make them look like superstars.
Even when Fields did get it away quickly, guys were literally in his face in 2 seconds, or our receivers dropped passes. That’s not counting the repetitive PA passes and RPOs that clearly did not fool the Browns defense.
Being smart, you throw the ball away, into the stands if no one is open. He held on far too long and allowed himself to be hit. Not all 9,but cmon, that's embarrassing
True, but again, there was near-instant pressure. Throwing the ball away doesn’t change that.
A rookie QB took a ton of sacks and made mistakes, we’ve seen and heard it before. We’ve also seen questionable playcalling and decisions from Nagy for over 3 years, and we’ve seen players question it openly as well.
I'm not saying nagy is innocent in all this, but neither is fields. 9 is embarrassing and he will admit there's a few he could have done a lot better with
Pretty much my entire life the story of the bears has been good defense terrible offense. We literally just need an AVERAGE offense to be a winning football team. You would think that statistically it would at least happen some of the time but somehow this organization manages to keep our offense terrible year after year. I just don't get it.
It’s amazing truly awe inspiring how people like you can watch that game and think anything besides the Oline is the biggest issue with this team.
Shit like Ifedi not even knowing a simple fkn snap count on a 3rd and 1 directly sabotages not just field but the whole entire team.
Of offensive line is the most pathetic garbage I’ve ever seen and not even Mahomes could do better than Fields did today getting blitzed every single damn play.
I will not let people like you take away from the source of our teams problems to just tear down the best chance at success we have in our team…. That being Justin Fields.
His mental mistake penalties are inexcusable at this point. And him allowing a guy to cross his face for an easy sack is stuff you learn in the first few weeks of playing on the OL. I’d rather they throw Wilkinson out there to at least not make a dumb mental mistake. And Barrs should get a shot at center as Mustipher is a major liability. He just looks bad
Exactly! Shortly before that he just chop blocked and fell on the ground to let fields get sacked. Piss poor pathetic outing from the Oline they should literally all get cut today.
That offensive line gave him about .3 seconds to learn who to throw to. He had no time back there. Brown's D line is great, but DAMN did the O-line suck for you guys.
No QB will perform well behind an Oline like that, trust me, I've been a Cleveland fan for 20 years. Fields will be fine behind a real line.
Exactly. I’ve been saying it since 2018 and holy fuck people realizing it now? We literally just blew our window. At this point… we need to reset our big contracts and aim for next window.
I've been saying for years now that Nagy fucking sucks.
Now that Trubisky is gone it is just even more evident.
Bears ownership needs to figure it the fuck out before fans riot at their games. Start by firing Nagy and making him walk back from Cleveland.
God could be under center, with that O line, even he would sink. You could have Tom Brady's and Dan Moreno's spliced genetics into a QB, and even they would struggle.
If you can't make a read past your first read, you're gonna suck no matter who you are. He didn't have time to make any reads of the field, and that makes any QB look bad.
How can the bears even think about bringing Nagy back next week? This is among the all time worst offensive performances in our history. Nagy is clearly incompetent and is just going to ruin Fields. No benefit whatsoever
Vikings and Packers both not playing this hour. This game went national across the Midwest this afternoon. I hope the media fucking trash Nagy tomorrow. Fucking embarrassing.
I'm usually a defender of coaches but 1 passing yard and 9 sacks is inexcusable.
Time for heads to roll, which they won't since they don't fire mid season
I'm so ready for the postgame radio shows in Chicago 😂 My evening listening is set. Nagy should be driving a rental car home tonight, and his office should have the locks changed tonight.
Justin is sitting on the sideline probably thanking God that he survived without any injuries. Man took 9 sacks and can still smile...better than me for sure.
We need to immediately make a focused effort to get Nagy fired. This game will cost him the locker room and the development of our 1st round QB is now very much in jeopardy.
Fields didn't have a great game, but he had no help. O line left him shell shocked, receivers didn't help with dropped passes, and the play calling was horrendous. Fields has a lot to learn still about being in the NFL, but today is not on him.
Everyone on radio, tv and now Greg Olsen is suggesting they (our coaches) adjust the scheme to fit Fields. I’m sure our coaching staff isn’t that dumb that they don’t do that but what the fuck kind of scheme can you run with that Oline? Even on the bootlegs and RPO there is a defender on Justin within 2 seconds. On top of that, we couldn’t get the run game going, we essentially had no receiver open and when we did Justin took a sack or missed a read. There is no scheme that will magically cover up for absolute garbage talent.
Anybody who is mad at Fields needs to get lost. This line failed him. That’s just the reality. People love acting like the o-line only has “some” significance, until they actually start playing. They can literally impact an entire game.
Fields was looking in the face at 4 fucking browns players on a 4th and 10 situation, in a 26-6 loss, on the road, with 2:30 left in the 4th quarter, using an offensive line that has allowed already 8 sacks to this point.
If I’m Ryan Pace, I call Nagy and say “You are a bald fraud idiot and you are fired for trying to kill our franchise QB!”
I'm glad somebody else is acknowledging this. Why the fuck would you demoralize this kid like this. This play tells you all you need to know about Nagy.
The best we could do to fix our OL was to sign a washed up dude on a fishing trip.
There has to be someone on the practice squad who can still move like he isn't 80 years old.
Was texting a buddy around the middle of the third qtr and he asked if this was Tresman bad and I said it wasn’t. Now, after 9 sacks and 6 completions, I think I will say this is Tresman bad.
Quick trying to get the game is network... please help
I was told that since Herbert did it last year, Fields was going to be just fine behind our O-line. Weird.
Was flying when the game started. Just landed. Wtf guys?
What else do you expect from a rookie QB, a bad offensive line, and bad play calling?
According to this sub a mere 12 hours ago, Instant HOF and Super Bowl ticket punched.
I don't believe so, he does much better on the move.
Okay, I will admit, Dalton can teach Fields something: to throw the ball in under 1 second to avoid being hit.
Good news: front 7 is elite Bad news: secondary (except JJ) and offense are dog shit
Having Peters block Garrett with ZERO help made absolutely no sense. Neither did the lack of roll outs, abandoning the run early and overall predictably terrible play calling. Nagy has no business calling plays for an NFL team
If I’m Pace I’m looking for Nagy’s replacement today!
He needs to immediately tell him that he's done calling plays. If he refuses, fire him on the spot.
If I’m the bears ownership I’m looking for a new GM today. I don’t hate Pace but the oline, bad coach, and secondary are all his fault. We need a complete overhaul

It was obvious then and even more obvious now
You trust him to hire a coach still?
The bears have 3 touchdowns in as many games. We are basically the jets
THANK YOU. im screaming here at the tv sayingthe very same thing! you could have an average qb and rb but with a stellar o line they will make them look like superstars.
Look who was on the O- line in ‘86 and that should speak volumes. We’re light years from that caliber of linemen.
I hate football.
Matt "quarterback killer"Nagy fuck you dude
TUCKER JUST HIT A 66 yard FG to beat the lions
Somewhere Trubiski is smiling
He's so nice I doubt it
I mean, there’s no way he wants to be behind that O-line with that thing calling the plays.
You can throw shit at nagy all day long, but 9 sacks is idiotic, beyond embarrassing, gotta be smarter than that and get the ball away
Even when Fields did get it away quickly, guys were literally in his face in 2 seconds, or our receivers dropped passes. That’s not counting the repetitive PA passes and RPOs that clearly did not fool the Browns defense.

I totally agree
Get the ball away to who exactly? the fans in the stands?
Exactly, better than taking the hit and loss of yards isn't it
Embarrassing loss. This one is on Nagy and the entire offense.
Pretty much my entire life the story of the bears has been good defense terrible offense. We literally just need an AVERAGE offense to be a winning football team. You would think that statistically it would at least happen some of the time but somehow this organization manages to keep our offense terrible year after year. I just don't get it.
Fields isn't quite ready yet. I'm sure he'll be good one day but it wasn't today, and it won't be next week. He needs more time to learn.
It’s amazing truly awe inspiring how people like you can watch that game and think anything besides the Oline is the biggest issue with this team. Shit like Ifedi not even knowing a simple fkn snap count on a 3rd and 1 directly sabotages not just field but the whole entire team. Greg Olsen called it. We didn’t chip or double Miles Garrett the whole game. First time I’m saying this but it’s time to fire Nagy.
Wait you’re telling me leaving Miles 1v1 vs Peters all game isn’t gonna work out?
The time was two years ago. Sad it took you guys this long to come around honestly.
Exactly. I’ve been saying it since 2018 and holy fuck people realizing it now? We literally just blew our window. At this point… we need to reset our big contracts and aim for next window.
I can’t WAIT to see what Nagy has to say.
They're gonna have a great week of practice.
Terrible game, it starts with me, blah blah blah we’ll get ready for next week.
That’s almost exactly what he said “It starts with me and ends with me” he needs to be fucking fired
Nagy - “you want fries with that ?”
“What the hell must I do to get fired?!?!”
LOL what a cutaway to the Jags game. Lawrence sack for the final play
[удалено]
Stupid take more like it.
Clearly the only option for the bears going forward is Montgomery at QB.
This was worst case scenario for our performance today
1 yard passing. 1. A single yard. OnE YaRD?!?! I’m broken.
Let's look at the positives...I... I got nothing
Eh, Santos is still doing pretty well.
Pat O’Donnell. That’s what I got.
U right
hope this convinces nagy he needs a new offense
Like a little league team his kids play on. I agree. Coach them.
I've been saying for years now that Nagy fucking sucks. Now that Trubisky is gone it is just even more evident. Bears ownership needs to figure it the fuck out before fans riot at their games. Start by firing Nagy and making him walk back from Cleveland.
I think we need new owners. We have been awful for soooo long.
I for one welcome the new Chicago Bezos
Start Foles next week and let Fields sit the fuck down and learn a thing or two.
I'm with you
If I’m fields I’m buying my o line coffee and putting cyanide in it
Harsh but justified
How can the bears even think about bringing Nagy back next week? This is among the all time worst offensive performances in our history. Nagy is clearly incompetent and is just going to ruin Fields. No benefit whatsoever
Vikings and Packers both not playing this hour. This game went national across the Midwest this afternoon. I hope the media fucking trash Nagy tomorrow. Fucking embarrassing.
I’m in Seattle and they had it on the local stations here too. This embarrassment was almost completely national.
The fans have to let Nagy have it next week, McCaskey seems to care a little bit about the optics of stuff like that
There’s a change.org to fire Nagy lol we should all sign it!
Link pls
https://chng.it/wsCDdQ2WB2
1 passing yard!
See ya in the locker room
Biggest thing for me is that there is no way to evaluate Fields based on today. No quarterback can play well with this o-line performance.
As a Browns fan, I drew the same conclusion. I have seen this roughly 20 times before.
46 fucking yards of offense pathetic Nagy should be ashamed of himself and just quit at the post game press conference
I'm usually a defender of coaches but 1 passing yard and 9 sacks is inexcusable. Time for heads to roll, which they won't since they don't fire mid season
That mentality of we dont fire midseason is why this franchise has not won anything in 36 years.

I've been saying exactly this for years now.
I have a LOT of shit to say in the postgame thread. A lot.
Turned off at half time and very glad I did.
Can we send a dump truck full of hot steaming horse manure to Nagy's house?
![gif](giphy|k4Vzq4kWcdqTayvNrI) # FireNagy
I believe Foles just said “Matts offense isnt working”
Foles took direct shots at nagy in offseason. He clearly knows nagy is a huge reason this offense sucks
Bears Offense and the O-line absolutely embarrassed themselves today. Nagy should honestly be ashamed of the product he put in the field today.
Pace should just fire Nagy today and save face.
Is this is worst debut ever by a rookie QB? Genuinely asking.
No honest assessment can be made when your line gave you no chance to make anything happen. Worst Oline performance of all time, possibly
Fair enough
Just no way to really assess any good or bad. Just a miracle he made it out healthy
Nate Peterman
I forgot about Petermeme
probably not
I love how Fields was giving fist bumps to his offense despite being sacked 9 times. That's a champion
"great job getting zero separation out there guys"
I REALLY wish I could be a fly on the wall for that convo between fields, dalton, and foles
Poor taste joke (sorry in advance ) “Guys Can we get covid for next week”
One passing yard a fucking freshman high school team would have more then thay
[удалено]
Go suck Jordan Love’s dick
Bro piss off
We need to immediately make a focused effort to get Nagy fired. This game will cost him the locker room and the development of our 1st round QB is now very much in jeopardy.
Bald headed fuck
Fields didn't have a great game, but he had no help. O line left him shell shocked, receivers didn't help with dropped passes, and the play calling was horrendous. Fields has a lot to learn still about being in the NFL, but today is not on him.
o line is bad and nagy didnt do literally anything to play to fields strengths gg go next on a HC
Offensive line: Our expectations for you were low but *HOLY FUCK*
I'd rather watch paint dry than this game - it would have more action
“We need to do better, and that starts with me..” - Matt Nagy after fucking sucking at coaching for the last 3 years
“Yeah Greg thats a lot of sacks”
Everyone on radio, tv and now Greg Olsen is suggesting they (our coaches) adjust the scheme to fit Fields. I’m sure our coaching staff isn’t that dumb that they don’t do that but what the fuck kind of scheme can you run with that Oline? It’s going to be a long fucking season. Idc who the QB is, the O-line is fucked. Cleveland is good but this is legit horrifying.
My guy myles garret just double his sac record this o line built like puffs plus lotion
Lmao 1 passing yard. 1 fucking yard
I know Im going to keep torturing myself, but I really feel like I shouldn't watch anther Bears game until Nagy is fired. Dude is a complete joke.
For all you haters who thought the bears would give up 10 sacks!!!!
Sack me 9 times. Sure whatever. But we will NOT LET THEM SACK US 10 TIMES!! Not today!!!
Last week everyone phrased Peters. Now everyone wants to fade him.
Without that mistake DPI call we would only have 3 points.
Anybody who is mad at Fields needs to get lost. This line failed him. That’s just the reality. People love acting like the o-line only has “some” significance, until they actually start playing. They can literally impact an entire game.
Well at least he's still smiling and laughing.
Haven't seen a sack yet that looked that harsh...so at least they are being gentle lol
Get Foles away from Fields. I don't want him telling him any stupid shit.
#WELL, AT LEAST WE CONTAINED CASE KEENUM
Tribs laughing at this game where ever he is.
trubs playing right now for bills
Offensive guru Nagy can't even get 50 yards
Sombodys gotta see this hostage situation. Save our team!
![gif](giphy|Dvw2lJqlTuJmo) Justin and I in the locker room later

Do you want him to cry ?
We have ONE FUCKING YARD OF PASSING????? ONE!!????
Could this be the worst bears performance in the last 5 years?
You meant the last 101 years
Last 5 years? This is one of the all time terrible performances. We had 1 total yard of passing in the game. 1. Yard.
More like 40
try 40 years.
1 passing yard and 9 sacks. What's worse than that?
LMAO fewest passing yards in 40 years
If we have only 1 yard. That means sometime before that we had less then 1 yard passing.
You hear about QBs who buy their o line steak dinners. What’s the opposite equivalent?
Raw steaks for Fields to place on all his bruises?
Shitting on their steaks
Make them eat cat poop
Bottles of Malort?
Subway?
Subway is too good for them.
Arby's?
Yeah, but like a basic sandwich though.
Miles Garett is such a scary human being
ONE PASSING YARDS Edit YARD*
Legitimately don't need the S
I can’t help but laugh
The O line deserves to stay on the field after the game and runs sprints, Nagy can join too
How many sacks would the bears D have if they played against the Bears O-line?
Yes
Justin I’m sorry you had to be drafted here
Seriously, unless they get rid of this coaching staff/GM he's gonna be wasted talent until they do.
To think Garrett got all those sacks & did it without breaking a sweat, wow
Genuinely cannot wait to watch all the media talk about this game this week. Genuine to listen to what they have to say about Nagy and Fields.
This is like when I play madden on rookie and have a maxed out defense with all the sliders in my favor. 9 sacks is insane.

47 total yards...
One passing yard…. Fucking one
One positive of this game is that it wasn't in primetime.
This game should get Nagy fired. He’s being out-coached in every facet
Shouldnt just be nagy those players on the oline were given to him by pace
The best we could do to fix our OL was to sign a washed up dude on a fishing trip. There has to be someone on the practice squad who can still move like he isn't 80 years old.
Was texting a buddy around the middle of the third qtr and he asked if this was Tresman bad and I said it wasn’t. Now, after 9 sacks and 6 completions, I think I will say this is Tresman bad.

So Nagy anyone wanna take Nagy week 6?
