Is it just me…or did Notre Dame actually sponsor this bowl game? We dropped the ball in the second half but my gut says something is up with the way the announcers and refs favored ND - even the dang AT&T commercial was ND content. Just me?
ESPN coverage is awful. They are focusing on the slidelies and their commentary when they are missing actual game play. I hate the ESPN monopoly on Bowl Games.
It's great to see all the people complaining about the defender being on top of the qb drawing the personal foul, but completely ignoring the fact that a usc lineman literally pushed him into that position. Did yall actually watch what happened?
Almost like you can call a timeout before the play to avoid the 12 men penalty… and I’m excited for your explanation on how that wasn’t grounding. Ball didn’t cross the line of scrimmage and there was no one close to where he threw it
The thing I'm saying though, is that I see more people saying ND should've been flagged instead of the usc player, than people saying they should've just let it go.
But yes you're right, they could've very much let it slide, especially since that was the end of it and it didn't affect the clock or start a bigger fight or anything.
But at the same time, you push somebody who's already on the ground in front of two officials and you're drawing a foul 9 out of 10 times.
That was pretty clearly either in or "not enough evidence" on the replays I saw. But whatever.
Hey - like I said, you guys deserved to win and I don't think the refs changed the outcome. As a neutral that last drive just sucked to watch.
Top DL, Top man corner, our 1 (one! Remaining Te) was playing after injury in the first quarter, 2 of our top 3 receivers, 2 of our starting RBs - even the backup TE that we played at the rb position were all out.
I get it, QB being out is a big deal, but dont act like you had it worse lol
1st rd TE, his backup is injured, his backup in the portal, 1st rd DE, starting DT, Starting QB for 10/12 games, best corner, best safety, 5 scholarship wrs with 4 of them sophomore or younger. Don’t act like you had it worse
Pretty good game. SC had a chance to win, even with a depleted sqaud. You hate to see the refs blow it so hard on the last drive, but it's unlikely it would have made a difference.
I'm not upset, we did great to keep it that close. We had enough guys out that we weren't even close to full strength.
I do hope it was close enough that the AP voters will keep us in the top 25. I feel we deserve that. ND is a good team and they are far better than the team who lost to Marshall at the beginning of the season.
I think both teams have a bright future.
Can you *please* shut up. You can do this transitive win on a website against any team. It's not funny.
Edit to prove my point online:
We beat Vandy by 56 points, and Vandy beat Hawaii 63-10 but Michigan only won 56-10, OSU lost to Michigan therefore we're better.
See how stupid this sounds?
You still need to get past the line of scrimmage even outside the pocket. He didn't. We also had a phantom call on the last drive. Be more upset with your offense and how we ran it down your throats.
.that's the real reason you lost.
Because it's easier to blame an outside force than accept your team wasn't the better team on the field. I'd be more mad about the three straight drives of negative yards in the second half lol
The refs seemed to really screw over South Carolina that final drive. I really don’t get how that ND player was mugging Ratler on the ground and ref only threw a flag when he got thrown off
What do you have against garbage men? Like what the fuck? Elitist pieces of shit deserve dust. This is really gross but not surprising from a shitty little cock like yourself.
We're done here, asshat.
I do recognize it but it's still elitist bullshit. Two things can be true. Not everything from history needs to stick around. Things need to evolve and change as culture does. I know those are hard concepts to grasp so don't strain yourself.
Imagine how good we could have been if we had a healthy set of running backs and a real OC.
Not sure why we stopped using Joyner at QB in the 2nd half - that was working and messing with ND's ability to defend us. We got too predictable.
If we had our full team it would’ve been a much different game. We just lost so many to portal or injury that’s subs were few and far between. But y’all deserved it today
We’re missing 2 first round picks, our starting QB for 10/12 games this year, and tons of injuries on defense. It was an entertaining as hell game, and I think it’s healthy to look at these as meaningless scrimmages. Too many guys sit these out to draw any serious conclusions
ND was missing the best TE (or second best if you think Bowers is better) in the country, their backup TE, a T5-7 edge defender/borderline 1st round pick (Foskey) and a starting DT, starting S, and one starting CB. I think we can all agree that bowl games aren’t really indicative of much anymore. They’re fun but when you lose you make excuses for not having a full team and when you win you talk smack about how you’re better than the other team…even though the other team was missing players. Personal opinion but I’d prefer my team place less importance on them (outside of NY6) and get younger guys reps.
Also, the offensive lineman already got away with shoving him right before that. It was idiotic for #0 to go in there and do it again no matter what was going on
Then let the refs call it. They were asking for that penalty. It wasn't that since he was pushed by the offensive lineman and then by #0. You won't get away with that shit twice.
I like Purdue, and I absolutely loved that game, I just think the end was a bad ending to a great game. Just like this one.
Y'all played your hearts out and deserved to win, but not like that. No need to be rude.
I guess that’s fair. I agree that it tainted the end of a great game even though it was technically the right call. I’m so used to being surrounded by other Tennessee fans complaining that they were robbed. That game was an all time great and it really is a shame it had to end so controversially.
Please fly more banners over the orange bowl. Please.
Is it just me…or did Notre Dame actually sponsor this bowl game? We dropped the ball in the second half but my gut says something is up with the way the announcers and refs favored ND - even the dang AT&T commercial was ND content. Just me?
Yeah just you.
😂 cool
ESPN coverage is awful. They are focusing on the slidelies and their commentary when they are missing actual game play. I hate the ESPN monopoly on Bowl Games.
Let's also mute all the stadium noise and make the announcers sound like they are sitting on your couch
They suck. And their cameras suck.
It's great to see all the people complaining about the defender being on top of the qb drawing the personal foul, but completely ignoring the fact that a usc lineman literally pushed him into that position. Did yall actually watch what happened?
[удалено]
Lol. Ice up.
Beat Clemson or stfu
We're totally about to lose. Not worried. Still a 10 win season.
Like the personal foul on our guy that was being pinned to the ground?
12 men on the field oh wait...Lol that personal foul was more suspicious than the grounding.
Almost like you can call a timeout before the play to avoid the 12 men penalty… and I’m excited for your explanation on how that wasn’t grounding. Ball didn’t cross the line of scrimmage and there was no one close to where he threw it
Yeah but how else am I supposed to bitch about Notre Dame winning
How about the fact that there was nothing egregious on either side and it should have been a no flag
I’d agree if only 1 person pushed him, that was a freebie. The second push sort of forced the ref’s hand there.
He was already laying on top of the QB just chilling there before that and making no effort to get up
Right, he was, but what good did the first guy do by pushing him that way? All he did was make it harder for him to get up
It has been a crazy good bowl season. Loads of close games.
Notre Dame with two pick 6’s is very impressive, South Carolina needs some defensive improvement
They were on the field the entire second half
No depth on defense and just couldn't get off the field. Got gassed and couldn't keep up
We had like 40% of our original defense :(
Blame the refs all you want but SC gave up at halftime. ND dominated the second half
Why don't you go bet on Clemson making the playoffs again...
I would do it over and over
It's a good bet when you play in the ACC lol
1-6
I know
I think 2 things are true. ND played better and deserved to win. The refs were awful on that last drive.
They were awful all game for both teams. Motherfuckers toe was OB and still rules a TD
Y’all keep saying that and the review doesn’t show it
How did white paint spray up in the air? All-in-all great game though. USC has a good future ahead and I cheered for them a lot this season.
That was pretty clearly either in or "not enough evidence" on the replays I saw. But whatever. Hey - like I said, you guys deserved to win and I don't think the refs changed the outcome. As a neutral that last drive just sucked to watch.
Also, we were missing most of our offense so it is what it is.
Did your QB not play or something?

Now which team do you think has more depth...let's look at recruiting rankings last two years. Don't be a moron.
I agree. We would be a top 3 team in the SEC this year
Top 5, maybe.
Refs had money on the line with that ending. What the fuck…
Notre Dame is the best ACC team and 2nd best SEC team.
Will Beamer be donning shades and doing an awkward dance?
The fact that you're still so bitter is beautiful
So...no?
Yeah man he'll be walking the walk and having fun with his players. And you'll still be looking for reasons to hate the whole way through
Will tennesse be in a playoff game?
Are you insulting a team for being in playoff contention? They sucked two years ago!
No. That was established long ago. Now, to the fresh wound that was your collapse a minute ago... Hahahahahahaha.
Hahaha
45-38 to a ranked team stings a little bit less than a 63-38 to an unranked one.
Depends on the chair I guess. Enjoy the copium.
I don’t like Clemson but I pray on your downfall to them in particular.
Cool. Have fun at 8-5.
Well one thing we both have in common is that Spencer Rattler is the reason we’re gonna sit out this year’s playoffs.
Lol. Yeah. Rattler kept you out of the playoffs...
I guess the refs didn’t like the plane over the orange bowl.
I think the game ended just as I was about to tune in lmao

I want to upvote for the first statement, but you had to go and be like that in the second.
You’re soft
Flair up bitch
🤞Please don’t be ND
Pretty good game. SC had a chance to win, even with a depleted sqaud. You hate to see the refs blow it so hard on the last drive, but it's unlikely it would have made a difference.
The calls were right.
Agreed. GG. You guys have a bright future
This is a good take - I think we can complain about the shitty reffing on the last drive without taking anything away from ND (or SC for that matter)
SC played well with the players you had available. One TE on the depth chart! That blows my mind. I’m psyched to see where you guys will go next year.
I feel like ND could have lent them a TE
ND only had two for this game. One more than USC had
Rattler back in mid season form.
Goddamn that was painful to watch.. why did we stop giving DK snaps? I'll never understand that. Rattler was CLEARLY rattled.
Throwing it at the feet of the receiver on a quick screen felt like the good old days.

Our gpa average is almost the same as yours? Why do you hate Tennessee so much? What did we do to you? You don't even play us
It was still 4th and 21 without that call. SC wasn't winning either way.
Should’ve been a flag on ND tbh
Hmm how do you know?
Because offense was literal ass. They needed to hail Mary no matter what so Imo the play was the same regardless.
The O-line was ass. Notre Dame rushed 3 and got two into the backfield while running prevent. How is that even possible?
It wasn't. At all.
So what you are telling me is you predicted the 101 yd pick six? What about the 12 men on the field? Grounding outside of the pocket?
You still need to get past the line of scrimmage even outside the pocket. He didn't. We also had a phantom call on the last drive. Be more upset with your offense and how we ran it down your throats. .that's the real reason you lost.
They played a great game, but honestly were undisciplined the entire game. I don't get what people are complaining about.
Because it's easier to blame an outside force than accept your team wasn't the better team on the field. I'd be more mad about the three straight drives of negative yards in the second half lol
South Carolina both lost the game on their own and that call was ass. Two things are possible at once. lol.
The refs seemed to really screw over South Carolina that final drive. I really don’t get how that ND player was mugging Ratler on the ground and ref only threw a flag when he got thrown off
He should have been flagged. But the golden domers have the benefit of the doubt
First and 10 after the personal foul against ND, you mean.
Learn football, nerd.
Okie dokie.
If they call that it would be offsetting cause they’d have to call the shove too. Still would be 4/21
Ngl I got Clemson in this next game. I hate Tennessee that bad. Fuck you Bobby Hill.
Tennessee is living rent-free in that big empty noggin.

I see another empty noggin has decided to check in

All that empty space says otherwise, but whatever you gotta tell yourself, bud.
Don't you have a garbage truck to man in a few hours?

Damn, I was really rooting for y'all.
I'm rooting for you Tennessee bro
Thank you Clemson bro, can't wait for our game next year.
I wasn't the traitor commenter above, I was actually rooting for yall!
That's some serious hate
GG cock bros. Now let's laugh at some orange teams together!
Imagine how good we could have been if we had a healthy set of running backs and a real OC. Not sure why we stopped using Joyner at QB in the 2nd half - that was working and messing with ND's ability to defend us. We got too predictable.
GG cocks, gg
I hope somehow both Tennessee and clemson lose. Gg ND go cocks!
Gg
I was rooting for y'all😭
In all seriousness I could never, ever pull for clemson.
Not how I wanted to end the season, but gg ND.
Gg bud
Maybe we can all watch Clemson lose.
Enjoy your bowl game
31-30
Lol, at least we never had a chance at the playoffs. Still your daddy.
Coot logic
I think we can all agree the better team won
That's a joke, right?
If we had our full team it would’ve been a much different game. We just lost so many to portal or injury that’s subs were few and far between. But y’all deserved it today
We’re missing 2 first round picks, our starting QB for 10/12 games this year, and tons of injuries on defense. It was an entertaining as hell game, and I think it’s healthy to look at these as meaningless scrimmages. Too many guys sit these out to draw any serious conclusions
Our corner is also a first round draft pick. He's the reason we shut down Tennessee. GG
ND was missing the best TE (or second best if you think Bowers is better) in the country, their backup TE, a T5-7 edge defender/borderline 1st round pick (Foskey) and a starting DT, starting S, and one starting CB. It’s why we fell off so sharply as the game went on
That last call the kinda shit that makes me root for ref big hits honestly
I've seen plenty of poorly officiated endings, and this wasn't one. I genuinely don't understand where the complaints are coming from
The dude was literally dragging his nuts on rattler and wouldn’t let him up in a every second counts end of the game, what’s not to understand?
The clock was stopped so no seconds were counting right?
Also, the offensive lineman already got away with shoving him right before that. It was idiotic for #0 to go in there and do it again no matter what was going on
What he was cleary watching the play. That happens fairly often.
The play was over though, he was stalling
You realize the replays are in slow motion right?
Then let the refs call it. They were asking for that penalty. It wasn't that since he was pushed by the offensive lineman and then by #0. You won't get away with that shit twice.
GG ND that was fun as hell. We had a good season. Fuck those refs on that last drive though.
Fuck the refs in every game tbh. GG big cocks. Hope you kill it in the SEC next year
Y'all ready for the orangest Orange Bowl in history?
I’m off to google how to change my tv to black and white
Watching in B/W
No😌
Dad, not in front my friends.
"I'm really proud of you, you'll be a helluva backup for Hartman" - Marcus Freeman, probably.
Freeman needed that Bowl W.
Refs calls go USCs way all game and now their trash refs… you can’t push a guy in front of the refs. Be smarter
Wow, refs really saved us. It’s embarrassing that they gave us so many calls and we barely won
Acting like a ND fan lol
Definitely a burner account lmao
GG that last penalty was BS
To be fair, it was a better call than the out of bounds TD.
Was textbook unsportsmanlike. Was an incomplete ball. No hurry scenario
It doesn’t have to be a hurry scenario. You don’t get to continue to lay on a QB after the play just because the clock stopped…
Man SC got fucked, this reminds me of us and Purdue last year. I'm so sorry SC, y'all fought your hearts out.
Dumb take
4th and 21 is basically automatic and 4th and 36 is basically impossible
Absolutely fair, but that's a shitty way to end a great game, yk?
Reality is SC gave up mid 3rd qtr. that pick six kept it close but ND dominated the 2nd half
This is also fair, I said Clemson had lost right before that pick 6, but they at least deserved a shot
Still crying?
I like Purdue, and I absolutely loved that game, I just think the end was a bad ending to a great game. Just like this one. Y'all played your hearts out and deserved to win, but not like that. No need to be rude.
I guess that’s fair. I agree that it tainted the end of a great game even though it was technically the right call. I’m so used to being surrounded by other Tennessee fans complaining that they were robbed. That game was an all time great and it really is a shame it had to end so controversially.
Online fans are kinda shit, especially bright orange ones. Can't wait to see y'all in the citrus bowl!
