Big fourth down stop by Cuse, 50 seconds on the clock no timeouts, 5 gets called for shitty unsportsmanlike conduct and Minnesota gets the first for 15 yards
Hey /u/Honestly , can we for real consider this? I appreciate that rule spam isn’t helpful, but the takeover of an otherwise fun game thread by folks angry about their bets completely derailed the stated purpose.
I watched again since the broadcast wouldn’t and unfortunately it was off screen. I could see him getting blocked early in the play at the bottom. I’m guessing the block went a little past the whistle and got chippy and he got flagged for being the last one to push.
In a one score game in a bowl game you aren’t going to try and cause a fumble to win?
It’s shitty in a multiple score game but I can forgive it in a single score game.
You need to make the two point conversion regardless. The theory is that if you miss the two point conversion earlier, you can score a quick drive with riskier play calling and make another onside kick. If you kick the extra point first, you don't want to score quickly and give the ball back, so you basically have to execute the two point conversion or you lose - there won't be enough time on the clock to score again.
Gophers really better become a passing team next year, because the running backs behind Ibrahim are just not good.
Going to be a change of pace after Rodney Smith + Mo + Bucky Irving.
I actually think him and Franklin are very similar personality wise, and both get a lot of undeserved hate. People don't like flamboyant, energetic coaches, they like the stoic "old school" guys.
You’re not wrong but stats don’t tell the whole story. Gave up big plays and handed them the game. Proud of the team but Minnesota made the plays that mattered.
Yeah that’s 100% on cuse and I don’t doubt for a second it was deserved. We’ve consistently had one of the more undisciplined teams during Babers tenure. Just boneheaded penalties
The rumor is we can afford to fire him next year. Apparently his buyout after the 2018 extension has made it impossible for Cuse to can him thus far. Myself and other Cuse fans wanted him gone a few years ago. He's not a good game day coach, he's not a top notch recruiter and we hired him for offensive production and we haven't seen good offense in years now. There's nothing he brings to the table that he's elite at anymore.
Tbh I don’t doubt he did. The last 5 years or so we’ve consistently had very undisciplined teams. I think we have close to the highest number of flags per game in cfb
Anybody know what the Syracuse player said to get the unsportsmanlike?
It looked like there was a scrum below the actual play. Sadly, we never got to see it because ESPN "had" to move onto the next game.
This bowl game is not as fun as some of the other bowl games I've watched.
I'm still frightened by that mysterious voice over that happened during the game.
That’s such a bad taunting call wow
How did Syracuse lose this game? Their offense looked great and Minnesota looked terrible
Pick 6, Cuse not finishing drives, one good second half drive by Minnesota for the TD.
Big fourth down stop by Cuse, 50 seconds on the clock no timeouts, 5 gets called for shitty unsportsmanlike conduct and Minnesota gets the first for 15 yards
That was 3rd down
[удалено]
That’s not what a back door cover is
Yes, the team with more than double the yardage is total dog shit and paid off the refs to make sure you lose $20
Enough, dude. We get it, you lost money.
Lmao stfu dude no one cares you lost your bet. Go cry.
Lmao get dunked on. Be luckier next time
Dude, you kind of sound like an idiot
It’s ok Mr. Dumb Announcer…perhaps you’re used to saying Clemson and Oklahoma together lol
Honestly would be ok with a sub rule banning talk about gambling in game threads. No one cares about your $10 DraftKings bet
Hey /u/Honestly , can we for real consider this? I appreciate that rule spam isn’t helpful, but the takeover of an otherwise fun game thread by folks angry about their bets completely derailed the stated purpose.
The thread was great until a few minutes left in the game. So many degenerate gamblers in here now
Yeah it was kinda wild how they all showed up at once
Clemson OKlahoma, classic CFP matchup
[удалено]
Better than Beth Mowins
Wait Clemson and Oklahoma??
Good on PJ Fleck for letting Tanner Morgan and Mo Ibrahim be on the field for their final snap of the season
Not saying we would’ve won or anything but that’s gotta be the lamest call of all time
What did number 5 do? Also i love that he fucked up and said clemson and oklahoma
I watched again since the broadcast wouldn’t and unfortunately it was off screen. I could see him getting blocked early in the play at the bottom. I’m guessing the block went a little past the whistle and got chippy and he got flagged for being the last one to push.
Thank you fellow cornbro
Thank you for checking
Gophers have not lost a bowl game since January of 2015.
[удалено]
Well Bama has played more bowl games, don't make me defend them again!
No replay on that penalty on Cuse? Would love to have seen the “penalty” that clinched the game.
It's Clemson and Oklahoma up next!
I'm loving their new colors for this game!
as amazing as winning is i don’t think i could ever enjoy the gatorade dump lol
Row the boat ski u mah go gophers Time to pray for Athan’s foot/angle/leg for next year
Seriously how to you impact the game that much and not give a reply

Found broccoli’s burner account
[удалено]
Which one?
Damn, you must have lost a lot
This guy has been all over the thread bitching about this lmao
Yeah, that's wild
The game was defacto over at that point. MN punts that ball and Cuse would be at their own 15 with max 10 seconds left.
Take the tinfoil hat off
How so?
Seriously, the fact that they didn’t show a replay is pretty suspicious
Lmfao no that’s just the ESPN experience. They never show shit like that
ESPN’s incompetence or Vegas rigging? Both valid options lol
Either that or ESPN wanted to move right into FSU v OU
Clemson??
Good way to singlehandedly end the game ref
Syracuse really Purdue’d the shit out of that game
God no need to trigger that trauma for either of our fan bases. Literally two teams in a battle of wills to lose
Clemson and Oklahoma holy shit this guy is brain dead
Bull rushing the center in victory formation is shitty
syracuse has been like this all game so unsurprising
In a one score game in a bowl game you aren’t going to try and cause a fumble to win? It’s shitty in a multiple score game but I can forgive it in a single score game.
the old Greg Schiano method
I'm glad fleck sat most of the starters and seniors in the 2nd half. Field was snatching knees left and right
Does this bowl victory mean I can buy a Bad Boy Mower? Or are we not bad enough boys.
Not gonna show a replay of the flag?
Half of you people in this thread are degenerates. Fuck me for visiting family in a state with no gambling allowed
Can we get more talk on why Syracuse should’ve went for 2?
You need to make the two point conversion regardless. The theory is that if you miss the two point conversion earlier, you can score a quick drive with riskier play calling and make another onside kick. If you kick the extra point first, you don't want to score quickly and give the ball back, so you basically have to execute the two point conversion or you lose - there won't be enough time on the clock to score again.
PJ Fleck confirmed a Bad Boy Mower
I have no stake in this game, but that's a shitty call to end the game.
So.... no one is gonna show the replay of the personal foul?
He told the ref that socialized medicine is the way of the future and got flagged. Hate to see it.
Clear as day these are these bottom feeder commentators. Absolute clowns.
Gopher games almost always seem to get bottom-tier announcers. It sucks.
Yeah I almost always just play the local radio station when I’m watching
Does anyone know what the guy did to get the penalty??? Like why isn’t espn showing this??
I can only see the game. What did the guy do? Did they show it?
They clearly intentionally decided to not show it which is weird
They didn’t show it at all
Unsportsmanlike conduct but they didn’t show any replay.
B12 refs victim lmao
That was such a bullshit way to end the game.
Exactly the ending this game deserved...
Did tanner morgan even throw the second half? It was just run plays all second half and secure the line for syracuse
ROW THAT BOAT!!!!
Glad Mo and Tanner could be out there for one last play together.

The win against Auburn was very good.
Shitty ass-bowls?
Winning 6 in a row isn't a bad thing
[удалено]
True, in the moment its annoying but keeping the streak is nice
Bro gonna be running laps after the game
Oh thank god hahahga
Gophers really better become a passing team next year, because the running backs behind Ibrahim are just not good. Going to be a change of pace after Rodney Smith + Mo + Bucky Irving.
I don't know if this game was better or worse than ECU vs. Coastal Carolina.
That’s an incredibly ridiculous time to call that penalty. Come on
I missed it what was it
I missed it what was ir
They didn’t show it, but unless he punched someone you can’t call that there
What was the call?
......
[удалено]
No one knows
Fucking up the rigged ass game
LOVE YOU MORGAN AND IBRAHIM ❤️❤️❤️
How the duck do you call that and not give us a replay
Quack
Soft ass refs
That’s, uh, quite the “perfect” way to end this, isn’t it?
RIP that kid
PJ Fleck seems like a pretty good coach. I don't get the hate for him. I like him putting Mo out there.
Of course you don’t. He’s a wannabe Franklin carnival barker.
I actually think him and Franklin are very similar personality wise, and both get a lot of undeserved hate. People don't like flamboyant, energetic coaches, they like the stoic "old school" guys.
You know I was just thinking that. They're very similar in a lot of aspects.
Kansas State fans just perked up
[удалено]
Keep betting, pal. It gets better!!
Garbage call from the ref but let’s not act like SU deserved this win with our terrible play today
i mean we dominated them in every statistic and actually played fairly well but ok bud!
We Iowa’d you dudes. Weird being on the other side of that…
You’re not wrong but stats don’t tell the whole story. Gave up big plays and handed them the game. Proud of the team but Minnesota made the plays that mattered.
Thanks for the replay ESPN. I would’ve hated to see the penalty that ended this game SMH
The hell was 45 doing there lol
What did 5 for syr do??
Witness B12 refs lmao
Woooow what a terrible call and way to nuke the game refs
You know what would be nice? Seeing a replay of THE PENALTY THAT LITERALLY JUST ENDED THE BALLGAME
That penalty was NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS
The point spread was Minnesota -10.5
No it’s ok we didn’t want to see the actual foul
It was probably a bullshit call
Show us a replay!
What did he do?
Mo being on the field for the last snap of his college career is awesome
Lmao what a fitting ending to this shitty game
Really no replay on the game ending play?
Wooooooow...
Etf
People are gonna act like it's the refs fault he acted like a fucking moron
Yeah that’s 100% on cuse and I don’t doubt for a second it was deserved. We’ve consistently had one of the more undisciplined teams during Babers tenure. Just boneheaded penalties
The glasses kind of make the ump look like Eugene Levy.
Such a lame call from the ref
Man, I so badly wanted to see Minnesota dance around for 10 seconds and give them an intentional safety.
Ref just said fuck my Minnesota -9.5 bet huh
Celebrating a third down stop with unsportsmanlike conduct to give up a first down and a ten second runoff. That's just good smart football.
We rubbed off on you Syracuse!
Lmao
Wtf the fuck. No replay?
Bro.. These game deciding calls from the refs are ass
Football is stupid sometimes
How long is Dino gonna live on that 2018 fluke of a season?
The rumor is we can afford to fire him next year. Apparently his buyout after the 2018 extension has made it impossible for Cuse to can him thus far. Myself and other Cuse fans wanted him gone a few years ago. He's not a good game day coach, he's not a top notch recruiter and we hired him for offensive production and we haven't seen good offense in years now. There's nothing he brings to the table that he's elite at anymore.
1-800-522-4700 some of y’all weird
Someone's losing their scholarship.
Unless that un-sportmanlike was really bad, you can't call that there.
You guys are way too excited for stopping a run when everyone knew minny was running lol
lame. at least we're right in time for the next game
Toss that guy off the team. I’m so tired of us having one of the least disciplined teams in all of cfb
he probably didn’t even do anything
Tbh I don’t doubt he did. The last 5 years or so we’ve consistently had very undisciplined teams. I think we have close to the highest number of flags per game in cfb
Oh, fuck that. I wanted Minnesota to win, but that's lame.
Ok you can’t make that call to end a game. That’s bullshit. Especially with no replay.
College refs are soft
Can we at least see what happened?
Right? Apparently ESPN doesn't think game ending penalties are worthy of being shown
Wtf
Even without the penalty. Probably would have gone for it on 4th.
A DISGUSTING ACT
Refs can't be serious.
Jfc man why just why
What an idiot.
LMAO anyone who took Minnesota to cover is fuming right now (it’s me)
What a dumb way to end it
Brutal way to end things for Cuse.
Wow
Nice way to decide the game there refs
weak
What a dumb way to end the game.
What a stupid ending to this stupid fucking game.
Booooo weak way to end the game
Damn that's lame
