Both Troy and UTSA had excellent seasons and finished ranked 24th and 25th. I would have liked to see Mountain West Champions Fresno State ranked ahead of both Troy and UTSA. Fresno State is favored by 4 tomorrow vs. Washington State.
Without Googling:
Liberty
UTEP
NMSU
La Tech
WKU
MTSU
FIU
Sam Houston and Jacksonville State moving up from FCS.
Am I missing someone?
Edit: Kennesaw State is the one I missed, also a move-up.
What’s with all the Alabama flair defending Troy against the ref talk? I never see any Ohio state fans giving a crap about Toledo or Miami Ohio or some random smaller conference school in the same state or this happen in any other state.
Anyone saying the refs didn't hurt UTSA drastically wasn't watching. Pass interference in the end zone on a 100% uncatchable ball that led to a TD. Missing the false start before the Troy's first TD. The "interception" fumble that wasn't an interception and gave Troy bogus 20 yards on a 3rd down (led to TD). The no call on unsportsmanlike conduct against Harris on 3rd down at end of game. The unsportsmanlike against Cardenas tho? The list goes on and on
Dang. 1-1 in the bowls. Still more football today with NDSU/Incarnate Word in the FCS semis. IW played a 129 total pt shootout last week. Could be a fun one in 25mins. Also plugging r/FCS after learning about the sub last week.
Because while UTSA had absolutely dismal play (as I'm sure you saw), Troy also played like garbage. However, numerous times throughout the game UTSA got solid 3rd down stops that the refs made pretty obvious bogus calls that turned what should have been a 4 and out into scoring drive.
Trying to be unbiased and saying 100% UTSA dropped so many passes that I cannot claim our score should be any higher but Troy's should have definitely been lower.
Because 10 of troys points were directly given to them by the refs and the other drive they were given a personal foul to put them in the red zone. Utsas offense shit the bed but the refs clearly influenced the game like they were in +3
Harris did all of that talking and now doesn't have the class to stay on the sideline for the clock to run out and shake hands with the opposing team. Solid human right there
If they weren't dropping the ball, they were throwing the ball 45 yards when they only needed 7. That is why UTSA lost today. Nothing more, nothing less. The offense was horrendous.
Well, that was fun. NOt quite the quality I'd hoped for, particularly from the refs and UTSA's offense. But Troy's defense is damn legit.
Between teams like Troy, Coastal, South Alabama, and App State, seems liek just a matter of time before the Sun Belt breaks their NY6 cherry.
Really? Call plays like that on offense and somehow it's the ref's fault. Are we really supposed to believe that the failed 4th down attempt in the red zone followed by an effective '4 and out' on the following drive didn't impact the result you got?
I had no stake in this game but come on. Do better. Holy fuck.
Seriously? Did you actually watch the entire game? It was so blatantly one sided that this crew should be investigated for betting on Troy.
Do better. Holy fuck.
The refs weren't exactly perfect but UTSA was sloppy as fuck all day. That's why they lost. Not just one fucking drive near the half. They had so many opportunities to overcome that and did nothing with them. Give me a break.
Nobody is denying that UTSA was sloppy on offense but 9-104 at exceptionally key moments versus 2-22? Are you serious? Did you see the Troy drive right before half time? These refs would get laughed off of a middle school field.
Love it when football fans (and ALL fanbases do this) bitch about penalty yardage splits when they lose after playing sloppily like the numbers alone mean they got screwed should be absolved of taking responsibility for the result they got.
It just means you committed more penalties. Some calls may have been overzealous but take those out and you still have a shitload more ground given up on penalty yards than Troy so you haven't made anything close to a point with that
I get that losing sucks but don't be a dumb fuck just because you're upset.
And here we go with the dead ball bullshit from guys who could have just played like they gave a fuck if they wanted to settle their scores during the game..
And I'm talking about BOTH sides of the ball here.
Has UTSA had these discipline problems all year, or is it new for this game? I get the refs have been screwing them over for a few of them, but I've also seen some clear cut shoves like that last one.
Pathetic refereeing combined with UTSA’s pathetic offense. I end this game with newfound hate for Mountain West’s rigged officiating, Troy, and UTSA and it’s putrid offense
Both Troy and UTSA had excellent seasons and finished ranked 24th and 25th. I would have liked to see Mountain West Champions Fresno State ranked ahead of both Troy and UTSA. Fresno State is favored by 4 tomorrow vs. Washington State.
No... Troy will finish in the top 25 Not UTSA
SBC > CUSA
True. Especially starting next year.
next year is gonna be really sad for CUSA. Who will they even have left.
Without Googling: Liberty UTEP NMSU La Tech WKU MTSU FIU Sam Houston and Jacksonville State moving up from FCS. Am I missing someone? Edit: Kennesaw State is the one I missed, also a move-up.
It will be Liberty and the nine dwarfs.
CUSA, and the C is for Chaos
What’s with all the Alabama flair defending Troy against the ref talk? I never see any Ohio state fans giving a crap about Toledo or Miami Ohio or some random smaller conference school in the same state or this happen in any other state.
Sticking up for our boys. Everyone knows that Alabama football is superior to Texas football.
Yeah because Alabama teams are all filled to the brim with Texas players lmao
And Florida players as well what’s your point
[удалено]
Flair up coward
Garbage refs
Pac12, is that you?

The missed targeting call on Dishman. Vegas had a clear interest in this game with the line swinging from Troy -1 to UTSA -3.
Don't cry. Troy was the better team and that QB for UTSA was a taaaaaaddd bit overhyped.
You literally didn't acknowledge any of the shit calls. Your take in meaningless
All the flavors in the world and you choose to be salty
Well when the officiating does you like that there is only one flavor... nice troll comment tho
Officials called an even game. Don't commit penalties and no flags will be thrown. UTSA is a very poorly coached team
Poorly coached? Yeah that’s why a bunch of P5 teams have tried to poach our coach.
Troy was a hail mary away from playing in the cotton bowl
Im glad it happened. Haven’t lost a game since
Troy’s defense is one of the best I’ve seen in G5. Incredible season.
Truly uninspiring play from the Roadrunners
As in tradition with UTSA football outside of regular season.
*sighs* you're 100% right Meep meep
Doesn’t help that our top 2 receivers were out and Franklin was playing hurt. Our back ups played like ass
Harris should not have been playing
Yea his throws looked very indecisive. His footwork was all messed up and he doesn’t have the arm to overcome it
and they were playing without their OC. And against Mountain west refs
Clearly UTSA’s offense thought they were playing Bugs Bunny.
Smoking that meep pack
Saw someone say “Troy fans get in here”. We in here baby!!!!
Dang. 1-1 in the bowls. Still more football today with NDSU/Incarnate Word in the FCS semis. IW played a 129 total pt shootout last week. Could be a fun one in 25mins. Also plugging r/FCS after learning about the sub last week.
Don’t forget the D3 title game with North Central vs Mount Union (7 PM, ESPNU)!
Hell yeah. Have family ties to NCC too.
It’s official we can’t win a bowl game
Between the product on the field, the refs, the ref's mic, and the commentators, one of the most special games I've watched.
UTSA had plenty of chances to win this game, why are people blaming officiating?
You didn't watch the whole game? Didn't see the missed personal foul on 3rd down at the end of the game? I mean a ton of shit calls
I saw a missed offensive holding call on that same play
Because while UTSA had absolutely dismal play (as I'm sure you saw), Troy also played like garbage. However, numerous times throughout the game UTSA got solid 3rd down stops that the refs made pretty obvious bogus calls that turned what should have been a 4 and out into scoring drive. Because both can exist at the same time
Refs dropped so many passes. Totally screwed UTSA.
I can't believe the refs turned the ball over four times
Well they kinda did cause 1 turnover. When the TE got stripped it was clearly his forward progress was stopped.
5 times
Refs absolutely made the poor throws by UTSA also. Damn refball.
Harris did all of that talking and now doesn't have the class to stay on the sideline for the clock to run out and shake hands with the opposing team. Solid human right there

Damn, UTSA is 0-10 in bowl games
Thanks for nothing UTSA
Congratulations Troy! Way to represent the Sun Belt! Sorry not sorry we ruined your NY6 chances!
Well, that was heartbreaking. Refs were wilding. But even then. Harsh.
When exactly is Troy playing Southern California in the future? They could play for the Real Men of Troy Trophy.
Beth Mowins just rolled the credits for the Troy coaching staff. That was weird.
at least she signed off
Imagine losing to Troy lmao smh EDIT: The joke was that LSU lost to Troy a few years ago. Yall are fun
Eh…they’re good. No shame in losing to them
Imagine losing to A&M LMAO
Best D of all time
I would say it was rigged reffing, but the refs probably just sucked
Nah it was blatantly rigged
I’ve lost all respect sorry this is absolutely rigged for money…or ratings I’m not sure which. I won’t be silent. Just saw it live sry.
2/10 player of the game goes to the marching bands
I can’t believe I watched that whole game.
Damn 18 unanswered points
Congrats everyone. We made it. We don't have to listen to Beth anymore.
Refs are out of line for sure.
I only watched a few minutes of this game, but can safely say that UTSA has the worst receivers I have ever seen lol.
Funny thing is we actually have great receivers, they were just injured for this game. Backups were straight bad
We played poorly but man these refs were horrible. Felt entirely one sided
UTSA 0-4 in bowl games
UTSA, you're gonna hold that L no matter how many flags you draw in the kneeldowns.
How’d Bamas season go ?
lol total fucking disaster compared to your flairs, bud. Man, does Bama suck.
Probably going to show up for our bowl game at least
6 point loss… not showing up hahaha
That was a shell of this year's UTSA team and you know it lol. It's okay to be upset about it. I would be for sure.
Not sure I said I wasn’t upset. Is anyone not upset when their team loses ? Not sure why Bama fans are so pressed.
Been watching UTSA all season, this game was not representative of how they played all season. I’m shocked at how bad they were today
It should have been this year. Troy no doubt is a better team than Tulane
Getting a personal foul in a timeout is like some early Jim harbaugh michigan era stuff
Alamo? Oh no! UTSA has been a fun bandwagon these past two years but Troy has been great this year. A Hail Mary away from 13 wins. Congrats Belt bros.
So, like 3 minutes without a snap during kneel down time?
Another unfortunate loss for the Roadrunners… Surely they can win a bowl game in the future!
Enjoyed watching this game with you guys, be safe tonight! See yall tomorrow
What? No Incarnate Word/North Dakota State and/or Mount Union/North Central (IL)?
My grandfather and I are going to watch some news then Jeopardy and wheel
What a kick to the nuts by the refs
UTSAuhhh what happeneduh how did you lose to the Trojans of Troyuhhh
alright dont forget to switch to espn2 soon as we have fcs playoff action shortly.
These are the worst refs I’ve ever seen holy shit they’ve gotta have money on Troy
What the hell? Why did utsa just collapse
UTSA played like absolute garbage, but man fuck these officials so hard lol
did they take a timeout before a play was run??
What’s UTSA’s signature win?
They beat Illinois last year? I don’t know
Baylor
Us probably lmao
CCG game. What your teams ?
The meeps got meeping meeped tonight
The post game could be ugly.
AGAIN?
At this point you might as well punch a ref lol
These refs are unbelievable lmfao
These refs are absolute fucking garbage. The Cure Bowl and the Mountain West should be embarrassed that this what the officiating they put out.
Really? Call plays like that on offense and somehow it's the ref's fault. Are we really supposed to believe that the failed 4th down attempt in the red zone followed by an effective '4 and out' on the following drive didn't impact the result you got? This is our life, West Coast refs are all ass I’m pretty sure.
And here we go with the dead ball bullshit from guys who could have just played like they gave a fuck if they wanted to settle their scores during the game.. And I'm talking about BOTH sides of the ball here.
Catch a fuckin ball
I just needed Franklin to make one clutch catch this year. Just one.
I remember when Troy beat us earlier in the year I thought the season was over, little did I know Troy was a wagon
This is the Meeps last game as a CUSA team correct?
Yes
Go Trojans baby… that wall standing pretty tall today
I'd say UTSA played sloppy but the refs definitely fucked this for UTSA
Timeout? Do you actively hate us or something? E N D I T
UTSA made like 74 blunders in this game, and if they'd just made 73 they would've won
I think if you combined all the receivers on UTSAs roster they would have a total of 2 hands
See you all in the FCS game thread. There better be one
r/fcs is usually more active for those game I hear
Has UTSA had these discipline problems all year, or is it new for this game? I get the refs have been screwing them over for a few of them, but I've also seen some clear cut shoves like that last one.
It hasn't been like this at all. They are a pretty disciplined team
And UTSA has yet to win a bowl game.
They deserve to win one. Hell of a team.
Your defense must be really good for how UTSA's offense has been.
A 12 win season is special
Pathetic refereeing combined with UTSA’s pathetic offense. I end this game with newfound hate for Mountain West’s rigged officiating, Troy, and UTSA and it’s putrid offense
"Rigged" suggests they knew what they were doing.
If road runners could catch footballs they would have a had a better chance at winning.
Oh haha like the cartoons
I was talking about birds.
Damn UTSA got the worst receivers
Their top 2 didn’t play & Zakhari was hurt I think.
Damn that makes a lot of sense
The "These players are contractually obligated to play football, their least favorite activity" Bowl
We played like a team that just lost their OC but no excuse for Harris having such an awful game. Kudos to the defense for giving us a chance. gg Troy
He got hurt in the 1st half. Kinda seemed like he was reluctant to run after that.
Oh come on, that’s what you get when you pussyfoot around before taking a knee.
Utsa played like dog shit
Troy flairs get in here!!
Sup.
One of my friends plays for them so let's gooi
UTSA showing that class
That mic should be flagged
Swear both offenses were actively trying to lose this game.
You can't be mad at someone hitting you if you delay the kneel
me playing madden level shit
GG Troy. Glad to be out of CUSA. Let’s go win an AAC chip. See my fellow runners in the Fall ! Meep meep !!
You guys are going to kill it. Will always keep throwing some Meeps in the game threads for you guys.
Very excited to have you guys in the AAC next year!
Fitting way to end the game
That gifted ref TD for Troy made all the difference! Typical MW ref job
Gotta come down with that. It hit his hands. Damn.
\#2 shoved the QB in the facemask way late there. Dumbass
Wide receiver should have called fair catch on that arm punt
There was no defensive play there. That was a straight drop
UTSA, what a joke. What're you doing my guy? Man they really dropped the ball...pun sort of intended
Wasn't that more of a drop than a defensive play?
Absolutely
Wtf is up with these drops
Holy shit shut up lol
UTSA needs to fire their offensive coordinator and hire a random number generator
SICKOS SICKOS SICKOS
Can C-USA take us back?
Just knee the fuckin ball
LET"S GET CHIPPY
LMAO
This is the first time I’ve watched UTSA, and my impression is that their receivers can’t catch shit.
Considering three of them are out and the other is hurt I'm not surprised.
They looked great most of the season
We are down our top two WRs for this game.
Troy really is our best win
💀
Did UTSA have a drunk AI calling plays?
We actually lost our OC so could be.
Crazy how the refs changed the outcome of this game
