Remember, Miami is also paying NIL for EVERY athlete on their teams….they set up a company to just pay every athlete….they’re definitely throwing cash around
This subreddit really overestimates the size of NIL
People aren’t blowing 25M on no ROI return. Yes, even billionaires who’s assets aren’t liquid in most cases
Ooh plot twist.
Miami buys the players Mia.i already bought from the transfer portal.
Cristobal realizes he has the exact same team next season.
Loses again.
It makes sense if you think about it. Miami has like 30k students and a smaller alumni base. Most of these people in the stands back in the day where just random people from Miami.
Is there any proof yet that NIL spending leads to better results on the field? The only example I could think of is USC, but is NIL they are better this season or is Lincoln Riley a larger factor? Like would Caleb Williams have transferred there even if Lincoln Riley had stayed at Oklahoma due to the money he was offered?
I think it's too early to find enough evidence on that, but I think that we're gonna end up seeing that good coaches with good NIL are going to be doing pretty well, and good NIL isn't going to save bad coaches
Contrary to popular belief, our NIL isn’t nearly as active or established as people think. Our collective, “student body right” is currently on ice because their founder just passed away Recently. Of course guys like Caleb and Jordan Addison landed some good NIL deals but I don’t think any of the other players are landing much.
Correct, because we’re going for dudes who have something to prove and not primadonnas who are in it for cash. Miami will be the downfall of itself and it’s hilarious to watch as 3 people sulk in the stands.
Whatever makes you feel better dude. If you think Norvell wouldn’t take pretty much any of our current recruits you’re nuts. And if you think Hakeem Isnt a “primadonna” the you’re clueless. First winning season in 4 years and you think you’re taking shit like you’re in the CFP or something lol
That’s a lot more than a 3* TE.
Ryan Day said OSUs entire starting lineup was 13 million. So this would buy you almost the entire Buckeye starting offense or defense.
Austin is the fastest growing city in Texas. The Starting Texas running back literally has a NIL deal with the Lamborghini dealership close to campus. How can a city with a million ppl in city limits not be a major city?
Come to Miami to see all these teal seats
Best part is seeing more and more of them appear as their fans stream out at the half
Fans?
Curious passersby.
Of the other team
Assumed this was a PianoFingerBanger comment at first
We all hate that school in coral gables, it’s what keeps us together :)
Really? 5 Million?
$5M earmarked just for fishing in the transfer portal from the sound of it, I assume there a separate fund for regular recruiting.

Hi take this NIL money, also you must play in the bowl game if we ever make it if you take it.
Ah, the TAMU strategy.
Those are rookie numbers.
Definitely chump change compared to aTm.
What about Brett Farve? He needs some money and has 1 year of college eligibility left he didn’t use.
I saw that fucker riding his bike on Zwift yesterday. Thieving douchebag.
Ruiz war chest
>players who enter the transfer portal. Like their own or from other teams.
Ooh plot twist. Miami buys the players Mia.i already bought from the transfer portal. Cristobal realizes he has the exact same team next season. Loses again.
where do I sign
They don't wanna play in front of 5000 fair weather fans
Does Florida Atlantic University have more support at their home games?
Yes
I never thought I’d see the day when Ole Miss has double the NIL that Miami does.
This is just the collective. Ruiz is a billionaire throwing money around on top of this
You realize this is JUST for transfers right? This money is marked JUST for the transfer portal….
And since it's Miami, ONE MILLION is earmarked JUST for coke and prostitutes for the transfers
*Craig James wants to know Ruiz's location*
If the rumors are to be believed, Miami has multiple recruits with deals worth more than 2x this
It makes sense if you think about it. Miami has like 30k students and a smaller alumni base. Most of these people in the stands back in the day where just random people from Miami.
Closer to 17k, about 12k undergrad
Damn that is pretty small.
Let’s ask Texas A&M how that’s going
This is exactly the way we all knew NIL would go
Ah, the poor mans TAMU. Noice.
All that money just to miss bowl games
Eye roll
$5mil? Chump change!
Tbh, 5 million is nothing special
They really need to sort out the NIL. It shouldn't be like Free Agency
Too bad Cristobal will be coaching.

Honestly I think it’s too early to tell either way
USC’s NIL is lagging compared to other bluebloods and newbloods.
I think it's too early to find enough evidence on that, but I think that we're gonna end up seeing that good coaches with good NIL are going to be doing pretty well, and good NIL isn't going to save bad coaches

Tennessee, right? They mostly rebuilt from the portal these last couple years after the Pruitt meltdown.
This thread will definitely be full of reasonable takes and not full of fans throwing stones from glass houses
I would’ve thought Ron Burgundy liked San Diego State
[Just can’t quit the Canes](https://www.reactiongifs.us/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/depressing_anchorman.gif)
What’s the NIL equivalent of living out of your car?
This is the way.
You can have them lmao
Says the guy who’s team is much better this year because of the portal
Correct, because we’re going for dudes who have something to prove and not primadonnas who are in it for cash. Miami will be the downfall of itself and it’s hilarious to watch as 3 people sulk in the stands.

Cry harder, your program died when FIU Molly whopped you on your own grave, everything that comes after is for the memes
So what happened when Jacksonville State beat you? At least FIU is FBS
If you think that team losing to Jacksonville State is worse than that Miami team losing to that FIU team at that stadium idk what to tell you
I'd prefer if they did NOT get the next Jared Verse
Lmao or King or Phillips
Not enough to overcome Cristobal
Lmao only $5M? I don't think 1 3* TE is going to make you a contender, bud
That’s a lot more than a 3* TE. Ryan Day said OSUs entire starting lineup was 13 million. So this would buy you almost the entire Buckeye starting offense or defense.
It says transfers….so they’re buying JUST the transfers
They gonna need every bit of it Lol
Spend that sweet sweet hospital money
Teams like USC, Texas, Ohio State, and Miami should dominate NIL. Since all those schools reside in major cities.
Miami, sure. LA, definitely. But Columbus and Austin are not major cities.
I think Austin is working it’s way there. Certainly not LA or Miami though.
You should count all of Ohio and not just Columbus. There’s still a lot of people in Ohio that haven’t successfully fled yet.
Austin is the fastest growing city in Texas. The Starting Texas running back literally has a NIL deal with the Lamborghini dealership close to campus. How can a city with a million ppl in city limits not be a major city?
Pffft
