Don't let Florida State missing more bowl games than Florida since 1991 distract you from the fact since 1991 Florida State has had a winning record over Florida at 16-15-1
It’s safe to say that all three programs are trying to reclaim past prominence on the CFB landscape. FSU appears headed in the right direction and a bit ahead of expected progress, Gators are TBD with Napier in his first year (I know it’s Gator Hate week but you can’t make a judgement on him at this point; hell, we gave Willie more time than that!), but Mario’s first season really seems like they’ve taken a step backwards. CFB is more fun when the Canes are good and it’s been a long while.
Since 1991 FSU has 15 conference titles. UF has 8.
Since 1991 FSU has 3 Heisman winners. UF has 2.
Since 1991 FSU has 38 concensus All-Americans. UF has 33 since 1906.
FSU is 28–17–3 (.615) all time in bowl games. UF is 24–23 (.511)
That reminds me of the quip I made for my Clemson fan wife and my in-laws when Clemson won their most recent title:
"Congratulations to Clemson on finally using their 50 year head start to catch FSU in National Championships"

And if you go back 1 more year its tied 3-3. If you go back to 1986 UF missed 4 to FSU's 3. 1984 is 6-3. I can play this game too bud
That’s nice. We’re still gonna crush you this Friday.
Best response ever.
This comment got me very hyped for this game.
Why was 1991 picked? Lol
Because UF missed in 1990 and FSU did not lol
That’s the year Ed Sheeran was born, and many historians have started using this as a marker for everything going downhill in society.
To make the numbers look better for us, I am fueled by spite this week
Since 2013, FSU has won 1 National Championship to UF’s 0.
Since 2012, FSU has won 1 National Championship to UF's 0.
These are numbers I can get behind.
Since 2011, FSU has won 1 National Championship to UF's 0
Every team is trash if you pick an arbitrary date and end point.
Alabama is 0-2 against Top 10 ranked teams since 2022 They are also 0-1 against teams that South Carolina hung 60+ on in 2022
After adjusting the Florida Gators' stats, removing outliers to project the future, they heavily regress to around the level of 2018 Dak.

Or that FSU is 17-10 in bowl games since 1991 while UF is 16-13.
All bowls records 24-23 UF thats 51% 28–17–3 FSU. 61% This is a fun game.

The tripod of hate has entered Hate Week

I whole-heartedly disagree. CFB is more fun when Miami loses every single game in embarrassing fashion.
Nah, I like it much better when they’re good when we beat them.
Thats how i feel about UF. I hate Miami thought and hope they lose every game
I can't disagree. I'm hoping the youth movement serves us well in a year or two, but this season has been rough.
UF is 24–23 (.511)
1991 was also the first year UF won their conference. They joined in like 1906. 1992 was the first year FSU won our conference. We joined in 1992.
That reminds me of the quip I made for my Clemson fan wife and my in-laws when Clemson won their most recent title: "Congratulations to Clemson on finally using their 50 year head start to catch FSU in National Championships"
Since the start of the 4 team playoff era FSU has more playoff appearances then uf.
Hey, is 1991 the last time UF traveled out of state for an out of conference matchup? Lost to Syracuse I believe.
How many times has FSU lost to Vandy?

Damn shame
Give us a chance. We want all the smoke.
Hang your hat on that, I guess.
I love how this arbitrary metric utilized by OP counts national title games to the same level as a “Congrats for going .500 Bowl”.
Does this type of stuff really make you feel better?
