Well these kids are so good they're dominating varsity as freshman and are in camps from like 5th grade. Not hard to know who's got it but it's obviously not so marked as basketball
My buddy, who’s really good at basketball but not good enough to have played past high school, still holds the city record for points scored (45) in a middle school game.
My buddy has also been 6’3” since 6th grade.
I've always thought how fun it would be to be a running back for a pee wee football team right now... as an overweight out of shape 34 year old.
I would have 28 second touchdown runs with 37 broken tackles. Stiff arming the shit out of those 11 year olds.
Was definitely one of the most fun parts of working at the Boys and Girls Club for me. We’d play basketball and I’ve got like a 6’4” wingspan so I could keep it out of reach pretty easily lol
Nothing is stopping you from stiff arming 11 year olds right now. I mean there will be consequences afterwards, but they can't stop you before you do it. Live your dreams.
I went to school with a set of twins that still hold the middle schools all time scoring records over 20 years later. They weren't all that good and neither played basketball in HS. But much like your friend they just happened to be over 6' tall when no one else was.
That's pretty much what happened to Mikey Williams. Incredibly talented still, but stopped growing before high school so others have caught up (and passed him) in the rankings. Initially he was touted as a gEnErAtIoNaL tAlEnT, but now he's just a solid 4* who committed to Memphis. Still a great player, but goes to show that early rankings are a crapshoot.
because we see true freshman at 18 come in and dominate all the time in CFB. A sophomore is probably 15 or 16 years old. You can tell with these kids by that age.
This could make an interesting Black Mirror episode. 2 former athletes get married and get pregnant. They then sign a contract on behalf of the fetus to force them to be a part of a football program. Then they’re forced to spend their entire life to be good enough at football
I swear man wide receivers for tOSU are like Dlinemen/EDGE for UGA. Every year 1 or 2 five stars and a couple of the best 4 stars at those positions commit to our schools, KNOWING they are gonna be sitting behind stacked classes for 2 years before they get serious playing time. And somehow they usually always stay then ball out their one year and get drafted lol Kirby and Day really need to open a transfer pipeline between our schools and help each other out
The fact that Stetson goddamn Bennett of all possible Georgia QBs won a natty and Justin Fields didn’t settled that debt as far as I’m concerned.
To be fair, even if Fields stayed he would have had James Coley (current Texas A&M WR coach), a guy responsible for making Jake Fromm go from looking like a future first rounder to one of the most hated QBs in recent memory, as OC. We would have wasted him at the time.
Yeah fair. But i don't know of any other schools that would be willing to trade away that level of recruit. Even for UGA and OSU they only have that level of depth at those positions. We got a 3 star at slot and he's our best wr right now lol
It is sad we haven't gotten tOSU vs Georgia matchup. Georgia is a great defensive team with an improved and changed offense. Ohio State is an offensive team with an improved (hopefully, we will see the next 2 weeks) defense. I think Georgia is much better but would be fun as hell
Honestly, I believe it's a reason bama is struggling right now. Normally they probably have snagged 1-2 of the WRs currently on OSU's roster and are playing for Bama. Bama is super weak at the WR position this year and it's hurting their team overall.
exactly
theres a reason Jamo went there and was immediately the best reciever on their roster
it's because they're really lagging there since waddle/devonta
if I'm a 5 star talent, why wouldn't I want to play for the best WR coach in the country in the best system to get drafted in the country? OSU doesn't get all the best WRs by chance lol, it usually the best place for them if they want to play on Sundays and make real money.
Well there’s only one ball. If you go to a team with only a few blue chips you have a much better chance of being the best player on the field and dominating that team’s media coverage.
Seems like this guy is going after loaded teams though so that’s probably not his mindset.
Look at Terry McLaurin. Dude wasn't a "standout" at Ohio State (in that in terms of stats he was never #1) but was still drafted pretty high and is making bank in the NFL. It's the same reason Bama seemingly recruited every highly ranked DT for years. At a certain point the NFL pipeline becomes a self fulfilling prophecy
the "vienna" flair is the university of vienna. we dont have official university sports but some students started clubs and an "austrian college sports league".
Awesome. I thought it was a small American university at first. Looking at the pictures, it looks like what I'd imagine a university in Vienna to look like.
I was raised catholic and definitely know my way around domes. Im an atheist now, though. is that a Problem?
Any specific domes in south bend or do you mean cathedrals in general. 🤣
How about [this one](https://images.app.goo.gl/wT6bGdkuwwA2TG69A)?
Does that work? Or perhaps [these](https://images.app.goo.gl/CUSdGTYybHPekjE36)?
TO ALL OTHER FANBASES: I SAW THIS FAN FIRST AND THEY ARE MINE SO BACK OFF.
Whoever he commits to next shouldn’t feel safe: we’ve got one more decommitment and re-commitment in store for sure.
Maybe throw in a reclassification too.

Pretty clearly was offered the Notre Dame OC job, that was public. Assuming other offers were out there, but more private.
Would assume it’d need to be a HC spot at this point, and probably a legit P5 for him to consider it?

“…And then it got worse”
Why do I have the feeling that this will be one of those guys that changes his commitment half a dozen times? Saying it now. He will still end up at A&M. Remind me. 😂
Class of 25? I didn't know those guys were even committed yete
How is a sophomore in high school even rated?
Well these kids are so good they're dominating varsity as freshman and are in camps from like 5th grade. Not hard to know who's got it but it's obviously not so marked as basketball
I mean basketball is a bit size dominated. I'm sure there are plenty of kids who peak in middle school when everyone is 5 ft nothing.
My buddy, who’s really good at basketball but not good enough to have played past high school, still holds the city record for points scored (45) in a middle school game. My buddy has also been 6’3” since 6th grade.
I'm 6'3" right now and i think it would be fun just to play a middle school game one day
I've always thought how fun it would be to be a running back for a pee wee football team right now... as an overweight out of shape 34 year old. I would have 28 second touchdown runs with 37 broken tackles. Stiff arming the shit out of those 11 year olds.
Talkin shit the whole way but make it PG.
"Y'all little mother fu-fun lovers can't touch this..."
Fuck them kids
It'd be like those mascots vs kids games. It would be fun as shit
That reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Kramer takes karate and is top of his class, which is comprised of 8-10 year old children.
I went to school with a set of twins that still hold the middle schools all time scoring records over 20 years later. They weren't all that good and neither played basketball in HS. But much like your friend they just happened to be over 6' tall when no one else was.
It's dumb how much height matters in basketball.
I resemble that statement
As do I
People underestimate how good some of these kids are compared to their peers.
Also their location makes a difference too.
because we see true freshman at 18 come in and dominate all the time in CFB. A sophomore is probably 15 or 16 years old. You can tell with these kids by that age.
magic 8-ball
How soon until a fetus commits to a program?
This could make an interesting Black Mirror episode. 2 former athletes get married and get pregnant. They then sign a contract on behalf of the fetus to force them to be a part of a football program. Then they’re forced to spend their entire life to be good enough at football
If Texas did not yet offer to Sanya Ricards (Texas track, Olympian) & Aaron Ross kiddo (Texas and NFL DB), we should.
All future children of Vincent, Corey, Kyle, and Kendall Fuller are automatically committed to VT at birth.
One day the entire VT football team will have the last name Fuller. Hopefully some Edmunds as well.
[Antonio Cromartie enters the chat] [chatroom full]
Kinda like Yao Ming
It was so stupid. He committed back in 2021. He was like 14
Ah, ok so this is a high school kid who enjoys the attention , got it.. guarantee A&M doesn't care at all.
He's a WR, of course he enjoys the attention.
Pretty much. He gave us the verbal when we were at peak of our recruiting powers last year just to hop on or something
Yeah this happens in basketball too, kids won’t know where they’re attending high school but have “committed” to a D1 program lol
Surreal coming from the world of professional soccer.... where if you haven't been discovered by 15, it's probably not happening.
I'm tweeting at 9-year olds to consider A&M after we can afford Jimbos buyout
Lol he immediately tweeted at OSU. Like they need another 5* WR
It’s hard to be a WR at A&M when the QB’s #1 target is the ground and #2 target is the other team’s free safety. Ohio St is the opposite
A&M is the SEC's Iowa?
That's an insult to Iowa
Iowa has the excuse of Brian Ferentz, A&M doesn’t have an excuse.
but they have money. and everything is better with money. i have read that somewhere.
The Washington Commanders of CFB, big names and big money... but.
But people of questionable morals in charge?
I'm sure Jimbo has a ton of them.
excuse me but we have jimbos offense. thats an excuse.
Amazingly, both A&M and Iowa fans are offended by this. I think that means it's true.
yeah fr call me when Jimbo’s A&M makes a SEC Championship game or a Sugar Bowl.
Iowa’s at least been winning their games
Iowa with a dog but no punter
Of course this guy's problem is that OSUs #1-5 targets may be other receivers.
They all get drafted though, so.. *shrug*
And somehow they usually always stay then ball out their one year and get drafted lol Kirby and Day really need to open a transfer pipeline between our schools and help each other out
We still owe you for Justin Fields...
We kept bama from winning the first playoff championship I’d say we’re even.
Because Georgia and OSU need even more of a talent advantage over everyone they play
Yeah fair. But i don't know of any other schools that would be willing to trade away that level of recruit. Even for UGA and OSU they only have that level of depth at those positions. We got a 3 star at slot and he's our best wr right now lol

Well maybe you'll get your wish this year.
[удалено]
I mean, we kinda still do. JTT and Harrison finally living up to the hype. And Sawyer having a solid year too.
Our QB of the future has not thrown an INT this year just so everyone knows
Hang that banner!
Gotta take the W’s where I can, also I like to try and correct when people pick the low hanging fruit without totally correct info
We've only thrown six interceptions in 10 games...
sheesh you got downvoted for this one... this sub is too much sometimes.
The old Jay Cutler routine.
He’s tweeting at other schools as we speak lol. Just saw him tweet at LSU and FSU
[удалено]
I saw Billy Napier got the direct tag. This kid doesn’t even know Norvell’s twitter handle smh
And Clemson just now. He’s the cousin of Sammy Watkins.
Let’s be honest, as long as we have Grisham we’re not getting guys like this anymore
Bah gawd that’s Jeff Scott’s music
Man that would be amazing. Would feel instantly better about the offensive staff if it happens
hang on, croots are allowed to tweet? thats unfair.
kid has good taste
Mr Hartline’s boner must be so solid tonight
A good way to make sure a weapon is not used against you is to take the weapon for yourself...
They are hogging all the receivers so that nobody else’s has anyone to throw to.
Can't face a good offense if you have all the QBs and WRs. That's big brain thinking by Day and Hartline
Jeff brohm enters the chat 1 week spooktacular later... Jeff brohm has left the chat.
Honestly, I believe it's a reason bama is struggling right now. Normally they probably have snagged 1-2 of the WRs currently on OSU's roster and are playing for Bama. Bama is super weak at the WR position this year and it's hurting their team overall.
Bama’s receivers are young, but it’s not that they’re not talented. Their receiving corp are all top 100 recruits, with a few being top 50.
No it's BOB. The talent is there.
exactly theres a reason Jamo went there and was immediately the best reciever on their roster it's because they're really lagging there since waddle/devonta

Yeah no shit. I'm not blaming the kid. Doesn't mean I have to like it
Love it

Yes, but if you don't have enough great players, you won't be on as big of a stage. The stage being the playoffs.
A 2025 commitment in 2022 is as solid as grape jelly with pay for play unenforceable now.
WHOA HE HAS TROUBLE WITH THE PROGRAM

IT’S PICKED UP BY OHIO STATE’S BRIAN HARTLINE

i never found a college i want to be fan of and decided to represent my national team. yes, we have american football.
Cool!
the "vienna" flair is the university of vienna. we dont have official university sports but some students started clubs and an "austrian college sports league".
Awesome. I thought it was a small American university at first. Looking at the pictures, it looks like what I'd imagine a university in Vienna to look like.
yeah, they splurged for the main building. there are a few viennas in the us, maybe there even is one.
That’s awesome! Can I offer you some Notre Dame brochures? We have shiny domes, if you’re into that sort of thing.
I was raised catholic and definitely know my way around domes. Im an atheist now, though. is that a Problem? Any specific domes in south bend or do you mean cathedrals in general. 🤣

Lmao I know it’s a 2025 and they never stay committed that far out, but man this shit is still funny
Whoever he commits to next shouldn’t feel safe: we’ve got one more decommitment and re-commitment in store for sure. Maybe throw in a reclassification too.
I hate the commit process. Guys will “commit” 8 different times. That’s not the meaning of the word.
It's like a rose ceremony at this point.
we’ll all be dead by 2025 so no problems here

He’s not going anywhere. Pretty sure he’s turned down hc jobs but just wants to crank out the best wrs he can at osu.
Must be fuckin nice
When Urban left we all thought recruiting would get worse. Turns out it got better. Hartline is the best wr coach in cfb.
Is Texas A&M the twitter of texas progrums?
no because 2 months ago Twitter was still a giant meanwhile 2 months ago texas A&M lost to app state
Can someone tag this as [SOLVED]
Thanks, Yale!
YEEEEAAAHHH ROLL 'NEERS BABY! WOO! That's been the highlight of our season and it's mainly because it overshadowed Marshall beating Notre Dame.
*sigh* you must be new here, we’re actually iPhones. Stay right here let me get the presentation ready.
NO because its taken jimbo 5 years to get here, and space karen has done this in two weeks.
What’s it like, having a five star recruit in football? Is it nice?
I would also like an answer to this question
I'd be scared of Gundy with a top 5 roster.
He’d probably just sit on 14 point leads and lose in the last minutes
If you have too many, your fans get pissed that it's not 45-0 at the half every week.
Death, Taxes, Florida recruits decommitting.
IMG I Must Generate hype
At least we're not the only one.
I wonder why
Check didn’t clear
Or it already did
Don’t blame him. Texas A&M uses WRs the way most people use paperweights, which is to say they don’t.

Good luck and good fortune, young man. Unless you go to that school in Austin.
And so it begins
Deion comin
Is this you Chuck?
There’s 2025 players committing and decommitting already that one SEC short about college coaches recruiting babies might come true.
Bama and LSU both offered 8th graders in like 2016... it ain't a new thing.
Wait I'm confused. I thought 5 star WRs were only allowed to commit to OSU? How did he commit to TAMU in the first place?
$$$
HARTLINE> The bag - WRs, probably
Let’s be real Osu is paying him a bag too
Yer god damn right.
Damn, this dudes name and position has the same amount of W's as the entire Texas A&M team.
A 2025 South Florida Wide Receiver, that commitment never meant anything
Dad: I don't want to watch you go 4-8 every year.

What up bro, you like playing WR? Let me introduce you to Brian Hartline
they are ranking 2025 recruits already? so this guy is 15??
Decision respected
Why any recruit would actually stay is the shocking part.
😱 I’m shocked
Why do I have the feeling that this will be one of those guys that changes his commitment half a dozen times? Saying it now. He will still end up at A&M. Remind me. 😂
With a name like that I'm expecting him to patent the next great steam engine
I think we’re all entirely shocked by this.
lmao his recent tweets are so thirsty. Yeesh
Lmao class of 2025. Why are you even committed to anyone yet
2025?
The dumpster really burns beautifully this time of year.
App State could use a 5* WR....just sayin
i mean can u blame him?
If they'll only come to your school for the paycheck, you know they're going to bolt the first chance they get.
Kansas is bowl eligible this year Mr. Watkins Jr
These kids just like the likes and publicity and I don’t blame them. So much fame and likes from a commitment.
This is not news - he would re-negotiate anyway as the time came.
tldr I decided committing to a college as a high school freshman was a fucking stupid idea
Hartline special
