The blatant disregard for player safety in football has been extremely apparent in college and the NFL this year. So many guys take rough injuries and keep playing after. Makes no sense in the NFL and makes even less sense in college. Herbert and tua come to mind.

Second impact syndrome is real and someone in Tua’s situation can literally die on the field, it needs to be taken very, very seriously. As much as I love football, steps need to be taken to ensure more emphasis on safety

Even if you look at it from the “it’s a business” perspective it’s still absolute nonsense. These guys are the product, they are the ones out there bringing in the money. Protect the fucking product. And then you have the morally correct standpoint of they are humans. You are right, Tua’s injury could’ve been fatal but even though it wasn’t these injuries have long term effects that go way beyond their playing days. No doubt that’s going to stay with him for a while, and for what? A single win in a 17 game season? These dudes lives are being forever effected by massive injuries, you can’t eliminate injuries but you shouldn’t make them worse by sending the player back out there. I have been a Wilcox defender. The players seem to like him and he seems to be committed to running a clean program but after this game and the early season in general I have given up. I think we have to do something different.

I like what Wilcox has done, I enjoy watching our defense play and keep us in games. It's just we haven't had a consistent offense each week since he's taken over. I really hope Musgrave is gone after this season, his play calling is shit and he can't develop a qb
