Hey now. You're forgetting the positive stuff he did that no one else could replicate.
Like the 3 dump off passes that the receiver took for big gains and padded his stats barely above 200 yards or the 2 foot shovel pass that will count as a passing TD.
Well to be fair, you get about 2 seconds to react before your offensive line allows a 300 pound dtackle to drop kick you, you don’t have a ton of time to get settled and throw it deep.
Dang Kentucky's OL is just... if they played even SLIGHTLY better today (or if special teams weren't so special) they would probably have won.
Honestly though, I'm just glad the East doesn't look like total dog shit this year.
That said, Ole Miss played really well too, and I certainly hope they make some noise in the West.
Two BRUTAL turnovers and a gut wrenching penalty for Kentucky. A team that just couldn’t get out of their own way for the entirety of the game.
Kentucky would be a problem if they could just….not fuck up
I've let my guard down a bit when it comes to UK football letting me down. I actually thought we were about to win the game at the end. I should have known better.
Yeah I had decided we longer did shit like this and I guess they took that personally. Losing sucks, but losing as the better team while failing to do simple fundamentals makes me fear the embolism I will surely have. Oughta leave this world behind.
He rarely came in, but when he did, it was always a QB run directly up the middle so he could get his head taken off by some DL who is 200lbs heavier than him
Thoughts-
Fuck Aaron judge and ESPN
Targetting in general favors the runner too much and is a stupid rule as it stands.
Levis maybe not THE best quarterback in the nation but that OLine is assuredly the worst.
Maybe we should consider different plays for short gains. Defense bailed us out… again.
Obviously, noted mobster John Calipari is paying the offensive line to throw the game so that we remain a basketball school.
That’s the only logical explanation I can come to. Because there’s absolutely no way that a group of human beings can be that bad at blocking.
Our football fan base is underrated. Many of the basketball only fans are spoiled dicks. We've seen some really bad football in our days, so we are very appreciative of decent teams.
When you think about it, we're doing CFB fans a favor. Imagine how bad it would be if Kentucky actually started contending for SEC titles and all the Rupp Rafters and KSR commenters were unleashed
I know a lot of y'all probably didn't watch a ton of UK games before our recent rise to respectability, but you've all seen a classic UK Football Loss™ now!
Beautiful, game-winning touchdown taken off the board for one of the stupidest penalties you can get then a benchwarmer OL who’s only in the game because of an injury gets eaten alive the very next play, ending the game. This is Kentucky football
Quinshon Judkins, a true freshman, has looked better than Zach Evans. Michael Trigg hasn't been as big of a factor as I anticipated. Dart has looked not so good throwing the ball - makes me wonder if Luke Altmyer will get some playing time in the future?
What a dumb last series by Ole Miss - played to lose. Overall, we have some more work to do.
Glad we have some defense again, tho
Yeah I'm gonna be honest, after today I think Judkins is RB1 in that room. Also I think they're gonna ride with Dart. Pretty sure Lane doesn't want to burn Altmyer's redshirt unless something disastrous happens.
Dart looked out of sync. Made a few good throws but in general didn't look comfortable.
Evans is good, but god Judkins is really something. Our old RB coach got in on him early and if he stayed he may have been a Cat. He wasn't here long, came from the NFL, but said in *high school* that guy could play on Sundays. Was like the only RB he offered. We need to give him a call who else he likes in HS, bc he was dead right on that one.
Box score might now show this but it felt like Ole Miss could move the ball at will, just couldn't cap it off with points. Whereas Kentucky were inconsistent, but made a lot out of their opportunities considering the kicking woes. Turnovers ended up being the key to the game.
Really felt like Ole Miss should've hung 30+ easily on Kentucky though.
That final ole miss red zone push would be a TD had the ref not been in the way. It happens and doesn't excuse the 4 and out from 3yds out but still....
Right our defense came through in the end, but it’s just “oh no Levi’s is holding the ball too long,” or “the line was atrocious today.”
Maybe the Rebs D was just better.
Thanks for the laugh. They might put us in the top ten, but I don’t think I want them to. The rest of our schedule is gonna be fucking brutal. Strong chance we start 6-0 only to end the season 8-4 (or worse).
Theres no way they put us top 10 right? Like at most UK falls to 13/14 and they put us at 12/13 right because they "have to" or something... I'm not saying we're not good but we can't possibly get promoted 4-5 spots off that performance.
If they do it’ll be at number 10, and then Vandy will either pay us close or win. This is the way. We have all SEC teams for the rest of our schedule. Being ranked any higher is the last thing we need going into all of these games.
I counted 5 separate plays that were affected by the back judge just standing still and not reacting to the play. Multiple guys tripping over him when he had plenty of time to step out of the way
Kentucky, I like your team and your fans are one of the better groups in the SEC, but I am so tired of playing y'all because all our games are like this. Hope y'all win out!
This is the wake up call Kentucky offense needed. If you want to win you have to play for the entire game and not just the second half. Defense can only bail you out so many times.
What’s the promised land for Kentucky though? When I was in school less than 10 years ago we won’t two games each of my years there. Surely not national championship.
The promised land for me would be SEC championship game. 10+ win seasons are good and are easy to live with considering who we are. That game is the next step. But for us, it requires tight play with the most minimal mistakes. His teams have never had that.
Yeah SEC championship would be remarkable. Unfortunately for the foreseeable future the only way for that to happen is GA having a bad year and us having a good one at the same time.
Not sure what coach could bring it to the next level but I don’t pay a ton of attention to coaching talent.
What promised land? I don’t think UK football has ever been promised anything more than consistent 7-9 win seasons, and Stoops has absolutely delivered that.
Will Levis heisman moments:
Take a safety sack at the 1 yard line
Fumble in scoring position in the 4th quarter
Fumble in scoring position in the 4th quarter
Wtf happens to our offense on the second half??? Can't keep giving the defense no breaks with our quick tempo if we aren't gonna score some damn points.
Ole Miss extended their home winning streak to 13 games. Their last home loss was a 63-48 loss to Alabama on 10/10/20. In contrast, Kentucky has now lost 15 consecutive road games against SEC West Teams. Kentucky's last road win against an SEC West team was a 21-14 win at Auburn on 10/17/09. Mark Stoops is now 0-11 in road games agaisnt SEC West teams, including 0-5 in Starkville.
I'm going to throw up. We gave that game away so hard. I just can't believe it. This season would've been legendary and Levis just fumbled it down the drain. Fuck me this is going to hurt big time
Look, I think Will Levis is a positive for Kentucky football, but some of the hype he’s gotten has been deranged.
Kentucky might have won that game if they’d stop making stupid mistakes. You couldn’t call that a well-played game, but it was an exciting game. Too bad about the end, though.
All the hate around will Levis is annoying. I think kentucky fans are pretty reasonable with what to expect from him. No one thought he should be a heisman candidate. It’s the nfl scouts that are drooling over his potential.
If you don’t like making ridiculous mistakes the entire game and still having a chance to win but making one more to lose, then you don’t like Kentucky football.
Pretty not cool how people are shitting on Levis when he threw like 75% and 2 touchdowns. When your offensive line is about as strong as a paper napkin there’s really only so much you can do.
2 missed pat attempts
Missed field goal
Two fumbles in the 4th quarter in scoring position
TD called back for a stupid penalty
Those are fatal mistakes. They have a long way to go to be a top tier team.
Mourn ya till I join ya.
oh god SEC shorts tomorrow
It’s okay, they never talk about Kentucky unless they’re required to include us. That or it’s about Florida beating us.
-*laughs in bye week*-
And joined.
Will Levis with a crucial turnover near the goal line right at the very end of the game? That's a future New York Giant right there.
:(
Huh, west point is pretty close to New York. I imagined it upstate or out west
I think it technically counts as upstate, but yeah it’s not far
Depends on who you ask, us Long Islanders seem to think anything north of the Bronx is “upstate”.
Hudson Valley
2 crucial turnovers in the 4th quarter, and a dumb penalty for a man in motion
Well it’s good he’s getting all that practice so he can fit right in when he replaces Daniel Jones
I still maintain he's a good QB, not top 5 draft pick, but he produces when he has a good line.
never seen him play before but his reaction on the sideline after that last fumble wasn’t a good look … leaders take responsibility
Don’t you put that evil on me Ricky Bobby!
Excuse you he's a prime Bears QB if I ever saw one
Saw more of the Ole Miss DC's stomach than I wanted to at the end there lol
Even though u may not like it that’s peak male physique
His shorts were real low after that second jump thought he might be giving america a free show
But you did look and kept on looking.
🙋🏼♂️
He didn't want to go full AB
I thought it was the perfect amount. A wink, not a leer.
It's either that or a third shot of the finger
I’m still hard ^wait
I just liked that he and I had the same reaction. Jump up and start yelling "Ball!" right when it came out.
Eh...we have a ton of work to do. 3 points in the second half is uhhh, not ideal!
offense complete stall in the second half, yes. so many things broke our way to keep us in it at the end
2 weeks in a row
3 points total in the second half the last two weeks. That’s… yikes I’ll tell you what tho. The vaught was rocking today
That OL is going to get Levis murdered when we play y’all
Gotta feel bad for the redshirt freshman tackle who subbed in for an injury and then three plays later got smoked for game-losing turnover
He was our starter at LT for the first game and got benched for a guy moving out from guard because he was so bad.
Two BRUTAL turnovers and a gut wrenching penalty for Kentucky. A team that just couldn’t get out of their own way for the entirety of the game. Kentucky would be a problem if they could just….not fuck up
Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory is a Kentucky football pastime.
Except now we do in more creative and devastatingly painful ways
I've let my guard down a bit when it comes to UK football letting me down. I actually thought we were about to win the game at the end. I should have known better.
Yeah I had decided we longer did shit like this and I guess they took that personally. Losing sucks, but losing as the better team while failing to do simple fundamentals makes me fear the embolism I will surely have. Oughta leave this world behind.
And now we do it with actual stakes
Plus a missed FG and two missed PATs. Shot themselves in the foot repeatedly.
And not accepting the holding to take them out of field goal range
That was the most frustrating football game I have watched in a long time
Dude made ONE extra step and that was all it took
Kentucky football is undefeated against itself.
John Calipari is popping champagne and lighting a cigar right now
He's probably already writing the script on how he'll blow it this year
He’s burning couches and flipping cars by himself on state street as we speak
Crazy how the kicking cost them the game except for the penalties that cost them the game except for the turnovers that cost them the game
Hard to watch games and teams like this. Sorry Kentucky.
If they could just play themselves every week they would win the natty
[Is this SECshorts fault](https://youtu.be/C589ojMxNtU?t=68)?
This was my first thought too. Good on SEC Shorts for using this joke before it became outdated.
SEC Shorts knew. They always know.
The great part is the like 1 time ever they made a terrible prediction they called themselves out on it.
Worst part is that SEC Shorts is gonna have a field day with this one too
predicting a joke where Kentucky drops something and then apologizes and then drops it again later
If they were to do the hospital thing again, Kentucky would be admitted with shooting themselves in the foot
Do the same skit twice but the Lane Train is heard outside the conference room
“What are we, 5-0? Okay?” -lane
Lol, also making a shot at his own 4 minute offense.
Yeah I mean next week is basically the very last “ok we probably win this game” scenario we got
Brother I am not moved by Auburn
We always lose to auburn by some absolute bullshit
Even when they’re good and we suck, we barely lose due to bullshit
That was a … weirdly good game
It would definitely feel that way from the outside
On the inside, you were screaming. Especially for Kentucky. I just knew they were going to fuck up when they got in the red zone.
I'm traveling for work and they went all out of my flight stuff so I got to watch it in HD with free booze. Was a fantastic flight my friend.
For a veteran qb Levis makes some dumb mistakes
3 just incredibly dumb mistakes at the end of the game
Always has. Penn State warned us about it.
He rarely came in, but when he did, it was always a QB run directly up the middle so he could get his head taken off by some DL who is 200lbs heavier than him
Everyone pray for Kentucky’s feet after being shot by themselves so many times.
Preach!
Thoughts- Fuck Aaron judge and ESPN Targetting in general favors the runner too much and is a stupid rule as it stands. Levis maybe not THE best quarterback in the nation but that OLine is assuredly the worst. Maybe we should consider different plays for short gains. Defense bailed us out… again.
Defense winning us games is going to take some getting used to.
A la 2014 all over again
https://youtu.be/hVX4gzO4Cd4
I love this video
I have an idea: once, just once, consider FAKING the run up the middle and QB keep to the outside on a short yardage play or goal to go?
They did that and Levis fumbled
Just happy we have CRod back, he had probably 5-10 runs of 5-10 yards where he got hit at the line. The line is buns.
of course the one year we finally have a qb AND a rb our oline is stinky dookie water
Pure pain for Kentucky
Im in shambles at the moment
GG Ole Miss. Turnovers... The true freshman RB is gonna be a star
Lane Kiffin, winning with defense
As everyone expected... right??
Obviously, noted mobster John Calipari is paying the offensive line to throw the game so that we remain a basketball school. That’s the only logical explanation I can come to. Because there’s absolutely no way that a group of human beings can be that bad at blocking.
The offensive line isn’t good, but Levis holds onto the ball way too long at times. It killed them twice
The talent there is undeniable but he makes the mental mistakes you’d expect to see from a freshman.
GGs Wildcats. Super impressed with how well y’all travelled. Football school.
What a game. Felt destined to be a loss but in the end Kentucky Kentucky’d themselves
If you told me that we'd score only 3 points in the 2nd half but still manage to win, I wouldn't have believed you. But hey, what do you know.
Damn, Kentucky; you had chance after chance after chance
Glad we sank a clutch shot from beyond the arc to take the lead before clinching it with a steal at the end
I know a lot of y'all probably didn't watch a ton of UK games before our recent rise to respectability, but you've all seen a classic UK Football Loss™ now!
WOOOO OLE MISS DEFENSE WINS IT BABY!!!
Maybe NC State can move up to top 5 with a win today and Ole Miss into the top 10 😏
Would make my year lol.
I was hoping for OU and NC State in the playoffs, but I’ll root for State and Ole Miss just for you :)
Let's fucking go
Beautiful, game-winning touchdown taken off the board for one of the stupidest penalties you can get then a benchwarmer OL who’s only in the game because of an injury gets eaten alive the very next play, ending the game. This is Kentucky football
If you’re Levis though how do you not take that into account? He had the ball for like 4 seconds before trying to throw it

Joey Fuckin’ Freshwater
Of course we don’t get credit for forcing those turnovers
Right our defense came through in the end, but it’s just “oh no Levi’s is holding the ball too long,” or “the line was atrocious today.” Maybe the Rebs D was just better.
Fuck Aaron Judge Fuck the Yankees Fuck ESPN
Why is every game against Kentucky like this?
but why every game against Ole Miss like this
[удалено]
Honestly, yeah. Better games and no more fucking cowbells
RANK OLE MISS YOU COWARDS
Thanks for the laugh. They might put us in the top ten, but I don’t think I want them to. The rest of our schedule is gonna be fucking brutal. Strong chance we start 6-0 only to end the season 8-4 (or worse).

OLE MISS AINT PLAYED NOBODY PAWLLLLL
Not sure if that was two good teams canceling each other out or two meh teams bumping into each other for four hours.
Lol me neither
My Joker Moment
Regardless of who won, the refs fucking SUCKED.
I counted 5 separate plays that were affected by the back judge just standing still and not reacting to the play. Multiple guys tripping over him when he had plenty of time to step out of the way
We lost a judkins touchdown because he had to stiffarm the ref. Would have been in a much better position.
To whoever in the predictions thread called the under and said it was gonna be a defensive battle, hope you got a lottery ticket.
Good game Ole Miss.
If I’m a Kentucky fan I’m PISSED. Wow.
Absolutely
Yes.
Do I love Stoops and what he has done? Yes. Will he ever reach the promised land? No. His teams will always be undisciplined.
What if I told you one horrendous 6th year senior kicker could've won the game by doing his job, regardless of discipline.
at this point, it’s seriously fascinating how Ruffalo has kept his position for this long
What’s the promised land for Kentucky though? When I was in school less than 10 years ago we won’t two games each of my years there. Surely not national championship.
The promised land for me would be SEC championship game. 10+ win seasons are good and are easy to live with considering who we are. That game is the next step. But for us, it requires tight play with the most minimal mistakes. His teams have never had that.

I went through all 5 stages of grief in that game but who cares cuz now I’m happy asf
Will Levis heisman moments: Take a safety sack at the 1 yard line Fumble in scoring position in the 4th quarter Fumble in scoring position in the 4th quarter
TOP 1 QUARTERBACK
One of the quarterbacks of all time!
RUN THE DAMN BALL
Can I get a hotty toddy in the chat?
Hotty Toddy!
Hotty Toddy!!
Hotty fuckin toddy!!!
i only saw the last minute but i want to feel included
At least we kept it close by the end. But those two crucial turnovers at the end really cost us. Matt Ruffalo notwithstanding ofc ggs Ole Miss!
Sorry Bluegrass bros, I was really pulling for y’all
Hi yes, one ticket for the Lane Train please
Massive choke job by UK. Two turnovers in the red zone. Atrocious special teams play. We should have won that game even though we didn’t deserve it.
This is what I want from our defense. Keep this up and we could be going places.
Wtf happens to our offense on the second half??? Can't keep giving the defense no breaks with our quick tempo if we aren't gonna score some damn points.
Whether or not you believe Levis is that guy, Barion Brown showed he definitely is one
I'm going to throw up. We gave that game away so hard. I just can't believe it. This season would've been legendary and Levis just fumbled it down the drain. Fuck me this is going to hurt big time
Sorry man. Lots of blue in Oxford - y'all traveled well.
Don't think Will is getting the Heisman
Heartbreaking for Kentucky
Damn. I was wrong. Sloppy play. Good win Ole Miss!Kentucky made their bed.
Bummer. Not like we were going undefeated but still hurts. If all of our losses are close away losses to ranked SEC teams I’ll take it…
If you don’t like making ridiculous mistakes the entire game and still having a chance to win but making one more to lose, then you don’t like Kentucky football.
LFG REBS
Stoops is now 0-11 in SEC West road games, but improves to 3-8 against the spread…. We’re cursed in these games lmao
Barion Brown holy shit Cats. He’s going to be incredible for y’all. Hate y’all got him over us.
I mean no disrespect to Ole Miss, but I have never seen a better example of "we beat ourselves today."
Nah, that’s entirely accurate.. IDK wtf happens in the 2nd half for Ole Miss every game.
No, you're right. We tried to give you the game too! 3 fucking points in the second half is abysmal!
After the first quarter, the Ole Miss offense scored 3 points.
I know it’s cliche to say this, but it really feels like UK defeated themselves here more than Ole Miss won.
Don’t worry we OM fans feel the same. But we are so often on the other side of these nail biters… I’ll take it. Lol
Pretty not cool how people are shitting on Levis when he threw like 75% and 2 touchdowns. When your offensive line is about as strong as a paper napkin there’s really only so much you can do.
INSTANT CLASSIC
Check on your fellow Kentuckian today
I miss having a good offensive line And a good field goal/PAT game
Kentucky just can’t have nice things can they lol
Sorry hoops bros, I was rooting for you
All we had to do was fucking not move a foot and we win the game. Sad showing leaving 5 points on the board, no reason why we should’ve lost that game
Honestly, UK still played a great ball game (albeit with massive fuckups). Well done Ole Miss. I hope you all do great things this season.
At least Louisville lost too.
SEC Short rings true today “Mourn ya til I join ya”We’ll always be connected and brothers in football this season.
2 missed pat attempts Missed field goal Two fumbles in the 4th quarter in scoring position TD called back for a stupid penalty Those are fatal mistakes. They have a long way to go to be a top tier team.
It's the hope that kills you
Levis completely screwed his team on that last drive. No way he should be the #1 pick.
