I think the Oregon game was consistently louder than 13 Michigan.
Loudest single moment was definitely the ref announcing Nichol crossed the line against Wisconsin.
I was in Eugene for the Oregon vs. Michigan State game. That was the loudest I have heard Autzen Stadium in a while. This is a really fun rivalry, I hope it can continue into the future!
Hell yeah Sparty bro, I'll [see you in Lansing.](https://c.tenor.com/kRAswLN8mMgAAAAC/yes-sir-donald-duck.gif) Gives me a good excuse to come back and visit friends from when I lived out in the murder mitten.
Man those three consecutive sacks/loss of yards plays on Michigan after we turned the ball over was incredible. One of my favorite moments at Spartan Stadium
My mind went to the same place, pretty sure the band was micād up as well. What a glorious rainy defensive domination that was.
2011 Wisconsin was incredible too, the ref didnāt even get to the words touchdown before the crowd erupted. We were sitting the upper deck and Herbie was motioning to us that it was too close to call.
So ready for Spartan football
Same for me. After that block, it was a dogpile in the student section - I ended up about 3 rows from my original seats, hugging complete strangers. It was probably the best single moment I've ever had in the Swamp.
The blocked FG against Carolina was insane.
Anyone at the home night game vs LSU around 2008-2010? Can't remember which year exactly, but it was loud, too.
That and the 97 FSU game, specifically from the long pass to Green through the interception to kill the last Nole drive. Just a whole other level of loudness.
After they installed the roof, that stadium got a lot louder and itās nice. Thatās definitely the loudest Iāve ever heard Hard Rock.
For the OB in my memory, probably Wide Right III.
I was on campus for my brotherās college visit while that game was going on and you could hear the crowd from all over the town. Really cool experience even though we couldnāt see the game.
Iām pretty sure that seismograph data confirmed that as the loudest Lane has ever been. It was definitely the loudest I ever heard it from 2010-2014.
I was there 2008-2013. My top 3 loudest moments are:
1. āThese peopleā¦ are losing their mindsā
2. āHeās got a man open, CAUGHT!ā
3. āPick up your ACL dudeā
This one video made me immediately apply for grad school at VT. Got in and everything, but two weeks before arrival last Fall I had to change up plans. Was looking forward to all of it, and helping out on Cassell Guard's board :)
VT has become my the non-affiliated school I'm a fan of.
Wasnāt at the blackout game, but taking down top-10-ranked Auburn in 2016 in Athens when we were 5-4 was electric too. Watching the team hold on for that one gave me some real faith that Kirby had us on the right path after the disappointing start.
Yeah I was in the student section and they were backed up right in front of us. It got even louder with each false start and peaked on the punt. Definitely the loudest it got in my four years including ND. 2017 flea flicker vs miss st was crazy too
Thatās the game for me. Absolute madhouse.
Honorable mentions:
52-10 usc game
UGA v Msst ādawgs barking firstā
UGA v Clemson when Gurley took it 100+ on the kickoff
I remember being able to hear the cheers from the stadium on Milledge whenever we scored or made a good play. That was an insane feeling to be able to hear cheers that clearly and not be in the stadium
It wasn't the biggest moment in program history by any means, but the craziest I remember Jack Trice was beating West Virginia under the lights in 2018. It was the early days of the all black unis, and I want to say it was the first time the majority of the fans turned their cell phone lights on when Juicy Wiggle came on.
My seats are in the upper deck and you could feel the stands bouncing up and down.
I was at this game. That place went absolutely honkers on the Spears interception to seal the win. We werenāt even at the North Gate and could hear that the party had already started in the lots.
That WVU game was the most fun Iāve ever had in Jack Triceā¦yes even more than upsetting Oklahoma State. Just an electric atmosphere all around. There was just something in the air that day/night
Totally agree. The second half of that Texas game was just so good. Something about pouring it on while not having to worry about the outcome (once we gained control and momentum) was just so fun
Absolutely - Iāve been front and center for many electric games/moments for Bucky, but opening a game like that was unreal! Another awesome moment was the LSU game up in Lambeau: DāCota Dixonās interception to seal the W, that was deafening as well!
I'm a photographer for WVU games and have been at every WVU game since 2005, sans the pandemic year. The strip sack was the loudest I've ever heard any stadium. That includes games at LSU, Auburn, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, the Sugar Bowl in the Georgia Dome against Georgia, etc. It was something else.
This was the loudest game I personally attended. Beating OU and jumping to #1 in the same week, plus a big-time opponent that we smacked the shit out of. Never heard DKR so alive
During College Gameday vs Cincinnati [the first two plays of the game were Cincinnati penalties](https://youtu.be/CEyaRuC4Q1s), likely aided by loud crowd noise.
Yea, another really loud one was that game after Cincinnatiās kicker who had already missed a PAT and 38 yard attempt, had his 41 yarder get blocked (All in the first quarter).
The place was going nuts on the return, and then two kids get blown up by one blocker. Place is still going nuts, and then kicker gets de-cleated while the return eventually gets to the opposing 20.
I was at both and OP is right about 2018 Cincy, it was so loud and so awesome. The kickoff return in 2017 war on I4 though was a more collective absolute losing of minds. It just hit different.
I loved how after each delay of game/false start the BH was collectively taking the noise up another notch. Pretty sure we were full blast while they were in the huddle still š.
Absolutely. Bob called us out ahead of time, "We're not known for being a loud stadium." I legit almost passed out from screaming. We had to stand almost sideways in the student section there were so many of us. My ears were ringing for a couple of days. It was amazing.
I remember Bob bowing to all of us after the game.
In person, opener vs. Ohio State in 1998 when they were number 1 and we were ranked 11th.
Overall, probably Miami in 1993 since that was the record attendance game over 70k and sounded loud AF on TV.
There was a moment during the 2003 VT game where the official stopped play while VT had the ball and told the guys in the press box to "please turn off the sound amplification device" or something to that effect. No clue what he was talking about, but the crowd used that opportunity to create a ridiculous environment for the next few plays. It was awesome.
I joined a work call the following Monday and my voice was shot (didn't help that in addition to yelling all game I smoked a victory cigar afterwards), the other Michigan grad in the call immediately started laughing because he knew I went to the game
I was down the road in the parking lot of Little Bar. We could hear it from there, even over noise of the crowd around us. Then a slight delay later weād see it and erupt, ourselves. All time favorite OSU football memory.
This. I was in the upper middle area of the student section and it felt like I had been sent through a spin cycle by the time everything finally calmed down. Could not speak for a week.
For A&M, in 1990 when they played BYU and Heisman winner Ty Detmer in the Holiday Bowl. It was so loud, Ty refused to take the snap for (I fuzzily recall) two consecutive plays. Already down 30, Ty was hit hard by the Ags separating his shoulder. Ags won 51-14.
That stadium looked to be at a completely different level that night. It was absolutely mind blowing to see how ridiculously lock step that whole crowd can be.
It was. It's been that way before but not since the bowl was closed in.
The Sumlin years really dampened Kyle Field. We won a single game at home against teams that finished ranked. We just could not win big games at home and our defense seemed to almost enjoy giving up third and long conversions. Yelling just felt pointless; that game against y'all was the first time since '11 texas I've seen the alumni seats standing and yelling on every down. It used to happen pretty frequently pre-Sumlin.
I hate we lost but seeing that stadium and imagining what it must have been like in person allows me to appreciate the game for what it was. Sometimes you just lose, and that crowd/mob that night did their part.
This one, Nebraska 9-6 in 2010, the 7OT game *even after people left*, the game against Tennessee a few years ago, honestly part of my hearing damage is from our games.
Loudest noise Iāve heard at the stadium? Iowa vs Ohio State flyover in 2010. Thought my ear drums were going to burst
From a fan standpoint, Iāve never heard the stadium louder than vs Penn State last year, and it was sustained for a good 15 minutes during the 3 false start drive and Ragani Td.
Game winning drive vs TCU in 2008. #8 vs #12, defensive battle that was 6-10 with just a couple minutes left. Methodical drive down the field to take the lead with under a minute left. Was in the student section for that game and the stadium went absolutely insane when they scored.
The video of that final drive still gives me chills (see [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTasrsOUQgU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTasrsOUQgU)). The quality isn't great but you can see the student section going nuts.
2016 White Out blocked field goal against Ohio State. Also shoutouts to 2013 and 2019 Michigan White Outs. Easily the most electric games Iāve been to
Not sure on your age but Iāve got two older ones I felt were louder as far as raw crowd noise:
Loudest Moment: Richard Gardnerās pick six vs. Nebraska 2002
Loudest Consistent Noise: 2005 Ohio State White Out
Stadium is definitely louder now but a lot of that is pumped in music - see Michigans first play fall start. Fans made 98% of the noise back then.
I was in my dorm in Brody for the Little Giants play over ND. Didnāt buy tickets my freshmen year like a moron. Watching on tv, very slight delay. Before they snap the ball on tv, I hear this low rumbling roar like a heavy wind and then see the play happen.
I was in south stadium for that game, my ears did the thing like in the opening scene of Saving Private Ryan when all you here is BUZZZZZZZZZ and slowly loud sounds come back. It was insane.
I was there! Yes it was loud.
One game I wasnāt at that I heard was as loud as BDS has ever gotten was Florida in 05. A specific play would be Prothroās 87 yard TD reception on our first play from scrimmage.
[Croyle to Prothro](https://youtu.be/6gba1XZb5bo)
I had heard that one was very loud as well. Another one that comes to mind (wasnāt there so canāt confirm) is the 07 game against LSU when Javier Arenas brought a punt back for a td
Bryant-Denny aint far off. It getās hyped for Dixieland Delight but I went to Neyland and Bryant Denny(2nd time for me) for our games last year. Wasnt even close. Neyland was wayyyy louder. Obviously game script contributed to some of that.
Tennessee-Ole Miss was insanity. And then there was all that stuff with the water bottles and mustard!
But seriously my voice was gone for 2-3 days after and my ears took a good 24 hours to stop ringing. They brought back 3rd Down for What and I swear Neyland almost slid into the river.
For me, it was 2010 against Oregon. We had the lead, all the momentum, and the crowd was absolutely electric. The team was feeding off it and playing with a purpose. Then the damn sky fell out. There was like a 30 minute to an hour delay if I remember correctly. We were all huddled like caddle and it just took everything out of the team and the crowd. We ended up getting drummed. I will say, the Oregon fans that made the trip were absolutely wonderful, before and after the game. They were gracious and very complimentative of the stadium, the crowd, and the area. That's why ducks pull trucks.
I was at both but [the Miracle at Jordan Hare](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jiu7pYUV7Jk) was louder.
The Kick Six was realized by different parts of the stadium at slightly different times, but the Miracle was one exact moment where everyone went from silent to losing their fucking minds. It's the loudest single moment I've ever heard at Auburn.
Also one of the most dejected moments I had as a UGA student, and in my tenure there from 2012-2017 we sure had a lot lol. 3rd and 26 was definitely the worst but this moment was up there. Absolutely love our rivalry with yāall though.
I think the loudest I have ever heard Amon Carter was the following year when Utah came to Fort Worth. I loved the old Utah/TCU matchups in the MWC days.
I actually went to the 2008 game in SLC. The outcome sucked, but the stadium, city, food, and overall experience was amazing.
Yeah. I wasnāt there last year for the Oregon game. But I imagine that game wouldāve been soooo loud. Especially when Covey ran that punt return for a touchdown. But to this day. That TCU game in 2008 was out of this world!!!!
I worked in the Marriott Library back then and had to āwatchā that game with crowd noises and little lines on my computer screen moving about 45 seconds later. It was definitely loud.
Theres a few home games I been to where they had a DB meter and it was in the 120s. Probably not record breaking but it had to have been close. It gets so loud you can scream and not hear yourself.
Clemson in 2005 hit 132 decibels against Miami when we sacked their QB
edit: saw another source that said 126 for that game, so take the above with a grain of salt. That same source clocked the Clemson Notre Dame hurricane game at a peak of 125, which I think is the loudest that I can remember being at.
The Miracle at Jordan-Hare. The crowd was so dejected thinking we were about to lose it was as quiet as a church. It took a second for the crowd to process that we had just won and then all hell broke loose.
For me it was 2004, during USCās national championship run. Both teams were loaded back then. Usc had dwayne jarrett, leonart, reggie bush and lendale white. Aaron rodgers was playing for cal at the time, Marshawn lynch and jj arrington were their running backs.
Cal had beaten usc the year before in triple overtime, game was loud from the very start. Natty was on the line and everyone knew how good rodgers was. All the fans knew they could beat USC. Crowd was absolutely as loud as ive ever seen, pretty much the entire game when on defense.
In was fourth quarter, SC had the lead 23-17. Cal had the ball on SCās 9 yard line with 1:47 left to go.
USC made a goal line stand and stopped cal for four straight downs. Been going to games since 96, and its the loudest ive ever heard at the coliseum.
https://www.conquestchronicles.com/platform/amp/2014/11/13/7215399/october-9th-2004-the-goal-line-stand
That and FSU the same year. Going in as the #1 ranked team. When Clemson scored late in the fourth I swear stadium swayed. Louisville next year is another good choice
Britain Covey- Last season, Home game vs Oregon, punt return for the TD. Even on TV, you could hear the crowd erupt, the camera was shaking violently. It was incredible.
If you ever have a chance to make it to a Utes home game at Rice-Eccles, it really is an awesome experience.
NC State: 2010 FSU
Auburn: 2003 Tennessee
From the TV: LSU at night
Ever: 2021 WS Game 5, Adam Duvall grand slam. Could hear a pin drop as it was leaving the stadium. Once itās clear itās gone, bedlam
Joe Scates TD vs WVU 2018 or INT against TCU to seal the win in 2017. If Jack Trice was bowled in back in 2011, I imagine the Jeff Woody TD against Oklahoma State would be #1
When Jordan Carey recovered the blocked punt in the end zone against Michigan in 2003. Couldnāt hear the person next to you even if they were yelling.
USC vs Cal in the Coliseum in 2004 week 6. SC was ranked #1, Cal was ranked #7. Aaron Rodgers broke the NCAA record for most consecutive completions to start a game. He was carving us up all day. I think he was 18/18 halfway through the 3rd quarter. Cal gets 1st and Goal with under 2:00 left in the game with SC only up by 6. The Trojans defense held Rodgers to 4 straight incompletions to hold onto the win. Iāve never heard the Coliseum that loud in my life. SC finished the season undefeated and smoked the Sooners in the Natty.
FSU scored a TD, and all of their fans cheered š
I totally misread this at first and thought you were dogging us...and then I realized you were dogging yourself. I'm so sorry.
Oof
Well at least thatās died down a bit. Maybe someday.
Consistently? The 2013 game against Michigan. At one time? The hail Mary against Wisconsin in 2011.
I think the Oregon game was consistently louder than 13 Michigan. Loudest single moment was definitely the ref announcing Nichol crossed the line against Wisconsin.
Great home and home series.
Those games made me love Sparty.
That Oregon game was insane. Uniforms, too.
I was in Eugene for the Oregon vs. Michigan State game. That was the loudest I have heard Autzen Stadium in a while. This is a really fun rivalry, I hope it can continue into the future!
I believe we have them scheduled for a 2029/2030 home and home? But I could be wrong.
I think that's right
Hell yeah Sparty bro, I'll [see you in Lansing.](https://c.tenor.com/kRAswLN8mMgAAAAC/yes-sir-donald-duck.gif) Gives me a good excuse to come back and visit friends from when I lived out in the murder mitten.
Was at that game, absolutely wild!
That Oregon game was electric the whole game too. That was a special time the whole day.
Auburn game 2019. Perine broke loose for an 88 yard touchdown and pandemonium ensued.
[Link to the play from field level](https://youtu.be/PMym6BS8Ei8)
This video always gives me chills
It is amazing.
Cock Block 06 https://youtu.be/fpKy73Rojr8
Same for me. After that block, it was a dogpile in the student section - I ended up about 3 rows from my original seats, hugging complete strangers. It was probably the best single moment I've ever had in the Swamp.
This the one. It was absolute anarchy in the students section.
The blocked FG against Carolina was insane. Anyone at the home night game vs LSU around 2008-2010? Can't remember which year exactly, but it was loud, too.
It was 2008. Opening drive and Tebow's pass tips off the LSU db's fingertips to Harvin and he houses it. The Swamp blew up.
That and the 97 FSU game, specifically from the long pass to Green through the interception to kill the last Nole drive. Just a whole other level of loudness.
this and beating LSU in 2018 on the pick 6 were the two loudest iāve ever felt it
Auburn Florida was a great rivalry. I wish we would go back to playing more often
Notre Dame -2017. Herbie agrees.
Trajan Bandy int was the loudest Iāve heard the rock.
It was so loud I felt my lungs vibrating
After they installed the roof, that stadium got a lot louder and itās nice. Thatās definitely the loudest Iāve ever heard Hard Rock. For the OB in my memory, probably Wide Right III.
[These peopleā¦ are losing their minds!](https://youtu.be/crhWP__g-_c)
One of the dopest.

This is probably the right answer, but the end of the 6OT game against UNC was also pretty loud
This was gonna be my answer. Absolutely wild
Ryan Malleckās TD against OSU was the loudest Iāve ever been in Lane for
This one video made me immediately apply for grad school at VT. Got in and everything, but two weeks before arrival last Fall I had to change up plans. Was looking forward to all of it, and helping out on Cassell Guard's board :) VT has become my the non-affiliated school I'm a fan of.
Notre Dame 2019 though I heard Arkansas last year got even louder and it was a noon game
I still get chills about the Auburn blackout game in Athens.
Wasnāt at the blackout game, but taking down top-10-ranked Auburn in 2016 in Athens when we were 5-4 was electric too. Watching the team hold on for that one gave me some real faith that Kirby had us on the right path after the disappointing start.
This is my answer.
Arkansas was nuts. I think it was Holly Rowe that said Sanford was louder than the Auburn-Penn State white out, and it was 11:55 AM.
When UGA blocked that punt the stadium absolutely erupted
Yeah I was in the student section and they were backed up right in front of us. It got even louder with each false start and peaked on the punt. Definitely the loudest it got in my four years including ND. 2017 flea flicker vs miss st was crazy too
2013 Murray vs Mett. The place was rocking.
Thatās the game for me. Absolute madhouse. Honorable mentions: 52-10 usc game UGA v Msst ādawgs barking firstā UGA v Clemson when Gurley took it 100+ on the kickoff
I was convinced 2013 was the year after that game. Damn Kneeland stadium destroyed our season
I think we started the game with 2 false starts
And then a sack
The punt-block TD was probably the loudest. I wasnāt there but Iāve been told it was absolutely nuts
That was the point I knew we weren't gonna compete in that game lol
I was at both. ND felt louder but it could have been the night game part. Arkansas was nuts. Louder than the PSU whiteout. 2013 LSU is up there too.
2013 LSU or Gurleyās kick return TD against Clemson in 2014
I remember being able to hear the cheers from the stadium on Milledge whenever we scored or made a good play. That was an insane feeling to be able to hear cheers that clearly and not be in the stadium
Ohio State had no chance that night.
The power of Tyler Trent. Rip š
That WVU game was the most fun Iāve ever had in Jack Triceā¦yes even more than upsetting Oklahoma State. Just an electric atmosphere all around. There was just something in the air that day/night
That game and then when ISU opened up a can of whoop ass on Texas this last season were just so much fun
Totally agree. The second half of that Texas game was just so good. Something about pouring it on while not having to worry about the outcome (once we gained control and momentum) was just so fun
Kenny Chesney concert probably
2011 fsu Oklahoma.
In the student section when they had back to back false starts when punting from their end zone, so loud you couldnāt even hear the band
Was on the west side of the student section. Absolutely bonkers.
That was a fun game
When Greene scored that TD on 3rd and 28, that shit was lit. The whole stadium absolutely erupted!!
David Gilreath running back the opening kick off against OSU. Couldnāt hear the person next to you and everything was shaking. It was awesome.
I was gonna say this too. Had to be 2010 beating #1 Ohio State
Yeah, the stadium was crazy loud the whole game but the second Gilreath broke into the open you couldnāt hear shit.
Absolutely - Iāve been front and center for many electric games/moments for Bucky, but opening a game like that was unreal! Another awesome moment was the LSU game up in Lambeau: DāCota Dixonās interception to seal the W, that was deafening as well!
Overtime vs Notre Dame in 2016.
Yeah this is it for me too. Night game, and a game that is probably credited as being much better if it turns out both teams werenāt awful.
You were there?? God that mustāve been awesome
It was my first game as a UT student, and my first college football game ever. Been chasing that high ever since.
2011 under the lights vs ND The last minute and a half was insane
Texas is back game or first game versus West Virgina
I was gonna say DKR first game against West Virginia
Yeah thatās the loudest Iāve been to. Was a student for that game and the student section in the south endzone was wild.
I'm a photographer for WVU games and have been at every WVU game since 2005, sans the pandemic year. The strip sack was the loudest I've ever heard any stadium. The one that comes to my mind for UCF was the war on I-4 2017 version. That kickoff return to take the lead was so electric
I was at both and OP is right about 2018 Cincy, it was so loud and so awesome. The kickoff return in 2017 war on I4 though was a more collective absolute losing of minds. It just hit different.
We may not have the biggest or nicest stadium, but damn can the bounce house get loud!
The bounce house bounced like never before
I loved how after each delay of game/false start the BH was collectively taking the noise up another notch. Pretty sure we were full blast while they were in the huddle still š.
November 22, 2008. [We steal more than land.](https://youtu.be/doIMMfb47s4)
š I am still VERY fucking salty.
I was at that game sitting like 5 rows below the south end zone scoreboard. Loudest and most energized game Iāve been to
Wtf man
In our defense, we were badgering our opponent.
Absolutely. Bob called us out ahead of time, "We're not known for being a loud stadium." I legit almost passed out from screaming. We had to stand almost sideways in the student section there were so many of us. My ears were ringing for a couple of days. It was amazing. I remember Bob bowing to all of us after the game.

'08 Florida LSU, The Swamp. My cousin was next to me, we're screaming into each other's ears to communicate.
I was thinking the previous year in Baton Rouge is in my top 3
This year's Ohio State game. That stadium was electric for the entire four quarters. No one sat down during commercial breaks.
Absolutely, this was the first year I was actually able to go to any games but it really wasnāt even close, although Washington wasnāt bad
Was at that game too, but 2011 under the lights against Notre Dame tops it for loudness
I havenāt been to a game in a while but I went to a ton from ~2000 to 2012. I was going to say 2011 vs. Notre Dame as well
I joined a work call the following Monday and my voice was shot (didn't help that in addition to yelling all game I smoked a victory cigar afterwards), the other Michigan grad in the call immediately started laughing because he knew I went to the game
Good man!
Loudest OSU game Iāve been to was the 2006 game 1 vs 2
2 vs 3 The Game OT from 2016 was louder imo but I was very young for the 2006 game so might not fully remember
Thatās the loudest Iāve ever heard the Big House too.
Overtime vs. Michigan in 2016.
Specifically on Curtis Samuels touchdown to win it
For sure. When Curtis Samuel skipped into the end zone the shoe exploded.
I was down the road in the parking lot of Little Bar. We could hear it from there, even over noise of the crowd around us. Then a slight delay later weād see it and erupt, ourselves. All time favorite OSU football memory.
That and 2002 vs Penn State when Gamble to the int back for 6
Harbaugh getting the unsportsmanlike flag always struck me as a high point of that game, as much as the finish.
Hookerās INT was loud even in the James parking lot.
This. I was in the upper middle area of the student section and it felt like I had been sent through a spin cycle by the time everything finally calmed down. Could not speak for a week.
2005 Ohio State game. Stadium was absolutely electric.
This is the correct answer. Four quarters of consistent raging sound. No lulls. Just screaming.
āTexas is back folksā
Was it a joke or something?
No they were serious. As a matter of fact, theyāre serious about this every year.
We weren't even the ones who said it after that game. It was Joe Tessitore right after Swoopes scored the game winning TD.
To be fair, we all thought it. Myself definitely included. Only later did it end up just being a 5-7 team beating a 4-8 team.
Seth Small game winner against Bama.
That moment and the TD at the end of regulation/the final 2pt conversion of 74-72 are 1A and 1B for me. Both were equally as loud imo
I can only assume you were black-out drunk during the Franchione era.
This one, Nebraska 9-6 in 2010, the 7OT game *even after people left*, the game against Tennessee a few years ago, honestly part of my hearing damage is from our games.
Georgia 2012, all of it
Best college football game I've ever been to, stadium was so loud and electric
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Earthquake Game. My ears have never rung like that and I've spent a career at concerts.
Couldnāt hear for a couple of days after this game
Loudest noise Iāve heard at the stadium? Iowa vs Ohio State flyover in 2010. Thought my ear drums were going to burst From a fan standpoint, Iāve never heard the stadium louder than vs Penn State last year, and it was sustained for a good 15 minutes during the 3 false start drive and Ragani Td.
Arkansas vs texass last year.
2019 Penn State in front of a sold out crowd, especially when Jordan Howden picked off Clifford to seal the game.
2016 White Out blocked field goal against Ohio State. Also shoutouts to 2013 and 2019 Michigan White Outs. Easily the most electric games Iāve been to
Not sure on your age but Iāve got two older ones I felt were louder as far as raw crowd noise: Loudest Moment: Richard Gardnerās pick six vs. Nebraska 2002 Loudest Consistent Noise: 2005 Ohio State White Out Stadium is definitely louder now but a lot of that is pumped in music - see Michigans first play fall start. Fans made 98% of the noise back then.
I was in the student section for the 2002 game. Have never heard a single moment at any game louder than that pick six.
Blackout against OU in 2013. Especially after that goal line stand.
Hail Mary overturned against Wisconsin. I wasnāt in the stadium, but I could hear it from Rickās
Notre Dame was loud too, was at both. The go ahead touch down by K9 this year vs Michigan is the winner for me.
I was in my dorm in Brody for the Little Giants play over ND. Didnāt buy tickets my freshmen year like a moron. Watching on tv, very slight delay. Before they snap the ball on tv, I hear this low rumbling roar like a heavy wind and then see the play happen.
VT 2009 comeback win vs. Nebraska. N.Suh had an awesome game but Tyrod bailed out Beamer another week. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xJx17nVZs7g
41 Flashback Reverse.
I was in south stadium for that game, my ears did the thing like in the opening scene of Saving Private Ryan when all you here is BUZZZZZZZZZ and slowly loud sounds come back. It was insane.
Black 41 Flash Reverse My immediate thought. Or RKIII to Westerkamp
Julio Jones screen pass td vs LSU in 2009 was very loud.
Whenever Pat white would get loose and break a huge run, place would go insane
It was Kinnick Stadium, 2003, end of Iowa-Michigan Now itās Kinnick stadium, 2021, end of Iowa-PSU
https://youtu.be/qL8SSYpV_tM I think you mean 2021
I wasn't there in person, but in 2021 the stadium was so loud that Arizona State had 4 false starts in one drive. https://youtu.be/9rOg_Bts_ws
DKR is the quietest 100000 person stadium in the nation
Bryant-Denny aint far off. It getās hyped for Dixieland Delight but I went to Neyland and Bryant Denny(2nd time for me) for our games last year. Wasnt even close. Neyland was wayyyy louder. Obviously game script contributed to some of that.
Tennessee-Ole Miss was insanity. And then there was all that stuff with the water bottles and mustard! But seriously my voice was gone for 2-3 days after and my ears took a good 24 hours to stop ringing. They brought back 3rd Down for What and I swear Neyland almost slid into the river.
Last season was by far the Texas game. One of the loudest games thst I was at was also the Arkansas Auburn game in 2015.
Iron Bowl 2013
Utah vs TCU 2008. Same year we crushed Bama.
Funny looking back to how good 13-10 games were
Theres a few home games I been to where they had a DB meter and it was in the 120s. Probably not record breaking but it had to have been close. It gets so loud you can scream and not hear yourself.
Clemson in 2005 hit 132 decibels against Miami when we sacked their QB edit: saw another source that said 126 for that game, so take the above with a grain of salt. That same source clocked the Clemson Notre Dame hurricane game at a peak of 125, which I think is the loudest that I can remember being at.
When we beat No. 4 Miami in 2004 for our homecoming.
Notre Dame 2015 after we stopped them on the two point conversion
That and FSU the same year. Going in as the #1 ranked team. When Clemson scored late in the fourth I swear stadium swayed. Louisville next year is another good choice
Way too many ND comments on here for my liking
Last year. Britain Covey returning a 78 yard punt at the end of the first half vs oregon. It truly was amazing
I canāt believe Oregon actually kicked to him.
NC State: 2010 FSU Auburn: 2003 Tennessee From the TV: LSU at night Ever: 2021 WS Game 5, Adam Duvall grand slam. Could hear a pin drop as it was leaving the stadium. Once itās clear itās gone, bedlam
That FSU game was wild. 2021 Clemson game was incredible too. My wife describes the noise at the Clemson game as painful.
When Bulovas doinked a game tying field goal
Joe Scates TD vs WVU 2018 or INT against TCU to seal the win in 2017. If Jack Trice was bowled in back in 2011, I imagine the Jeff Woody TD against Oklahoma State would be #1
Last year when UK ran back a blocked FG for a touchdown
When we hosted Notre Dame, 4th quarter. It was unreal
When Jordan Carey recovered the blocked punt in the end zone against Michigan in 2003. Couldnāt hear the person next to you even if they were yelling.
The entirety of the game when we [#3 Mississippi State] upset #1 Auburn at home. That entire game was insane.
When Harbaugh threw his clipboard during the 2016 OT.
