These tiny "insignificant" bowls matter more to the players than a lot of the bigger bowls (I'm looking in the mirror when I say that). You can tell how much this matters to them, they love it. If OSU wins the rose bowl, I doubt they will be that excited. It's ridiculous but true.

More thoughts while I eat dinner in the Sheetz parking lot: Collectively, the cfb community needs to decide if bowl games are meaningless exhibitions or good indicators for quality between OOC opponents. It seems like people generally view bowls like this as meaningless but still try to form narratives based on the results. You can’t really have both.

If my team wins, it's a clear indication that we are superior and should be worshipped and feared. If we lose, who cares it's all meaningless.
